This game is incredible, Microsoft have absolutely killed it this gen, also this makes you realise that every pilot deserves what pay they get. what a hard job flying would be.

This simulator is absolutely amazing. I was using XPlane 11 for the longest time but got a little tired of the bland environment it had. I am a real pilot so it's cool to have some level of detail in your world. I'd say the only difference between XPlane and MFS, is the realism. Firstly, MFS is about as realistic as it can get. But XPlane is like the standard in flight schools, so I guess they prefer that over Microsoft's. But for a general at home simulator, this fits the bill quite nicely.
Absolutely love it on my series X, but my god the frame rates take a kicking after a short while. And the lag... Regardless, it's still a simply fantastic game.

The top Gun dlc comes out in October I think and if you wanna try a dogfight flight sim play dcs but keep in mind you will have to learn how to fly the jet like learning it in real life
@Logia SD you can play it offline that’s no excuse. It clearly warns you to have good connection otherwise to load areas to play offline. Besides the original post is talking about console specifically. You talking about connection affects pc just as well
@@Omegatonboom I lucked out and bought mine at MSRP from Target. I also got a PS5 for MSRP from Target as well. They seem to be slightly more resilient to bots from my experience lol. At any rate as long as you're enjoying it that's all that matters 👍
Afaik they did quite a few performance improvements to this game after it was released. And the difference between console and pc is very noticable. Seems like they stripped out things like the hd textures, very (very) noticable when you're flying between the buildings. But running on a console this is still very impressive, and as you say a very passable experience which I would have enjoyed even if it was the full pc release
Trev, You need to do a series where you fly in every country in the world and go to its notable places and give info. I know its a shout but i think its a great idea

Yea or nay on adding an exhaust fan on the top of the console to help pull all that hot air out? I haven't checked with a thermal (yet) but I added a USB multi-speed one to mine and it certainly seems that the console runs a bit cooler than without one... Keep up the great work, compadre! SeriesS has a more stable 30 GPS. So the choice is between resolution X & frame rate S.
my series x hasn’t had much issue with frame rate but I’m also using a 1080p tv
If you have a 120 hz TV the game unlocks the framerate and I'm lucky to have vrr and it runs butter smooth over 60fps.
