@@richneedre48 i feel like you are lying through your teeth. The series x lacks mic, or any other means of communication and has no gyro. Even switch has this.
That's was so refreshing to hear..Im a bit older and own both ps5 and series X...But to finally hear someone say "gaming is just fun" w no bias is very rare these days✌️✌️
I wish some people would treat gaming as fun. I own both xbox because gamepass is so much better than ps plus and I have ps5 for exclusives. Personally I prefer xbox but my brothers who are playstation to the core simply won't have it some people like xbox and will start an argument with anyone who says a bad word against playstation. Funny thing is they have never so much as looked on gamepass but swear it's shite.
As someone who fell off gaming these last few years, the sales that the Xbox series X had this past holiday season made buying an Xbox almost a no brainer! I’ve been enjoying playing some of my old favorite games again like Dishonored thanks to game pass as well 🙌🏽
@@Haydendriffill just sharing my positive experience with the Xbox series X on a review about the Xbox series X lmao. But thanks for sharing sale numbers hopefully someone finds that useful 🫡😂
@@quietgamer4429 popularity, my friend that’s why! also understand that Xbox isn’t pushing consoles like PlayStation is PlayStations whole model is to try and push out as many consoles as possible. Xbox is focused on pushing game pass and has always been that. from a revenue standpoint they are doing A damn good job a real smart investment. And once consoles phase out which they will Game Pass will still be around. As a ps fan who just got a Xbox it’s mind blowing how we have 4 exclusives that they can remake and the fanboys go crazy and say it’s the best thing since sliced bread lol glad I opened my horizon to other options I think I’m choosing series x for my primary console going forward lol
Quick resume is only important if you have experienced it. Because it's one of those little quality of life improvements that you just can't live without anymore after a while.
@@LANFEAR93 there is a maximum of games that can be held in quick resume. If you exceed the designated amount of memory set a side for quick resume the game played the longest ago will cycle out. Also if you've played a (play anywhere) game in quick resume on the cloud, pc or another console the game also needs to re launch even if it's in quick resume to sync with the progress made else where.
Okay, thank you for the information but I play only one game at a time. For a game (AC Vlhalla) that is bought and installed (not game pass) Can it be a sync issue due to network interruption and then I shut down the device and turn it on at a later time? @@MrMickey1987
I can only imagine. It is one feature I think PS5 is really lacking. When I'm playing games directly from SSD it's not too bad, but when I switch to games on disk drive the loading screen is annoying. Quick, but annoying.
It was $300 recently at Staples too (still that price if you can find one in stock), but that's because they are getting rid of their video game section.
Saying PS is better now just because xbox messed up and because everyone else has PS is crazy xbox is just simply better better hardware better software it just better
I have PS5 and Xbox. I genuinely like the Xbox hardware better, if it wasn’t for the exclusives on ps5 I would only have an Xbox. Game pass is phenomenal, backwards compatibility is excellent. Upcoming games look great, Xbox is starting to get rolling I think.
Agreed, the amount of backwards compatibility with the X Box series X is just one of the great things about the console, especially since I’ve got a huge amount of OG xbox & 360 games in my collection. I can finally play my Timesplitters 2 & ‘Future Perfect games again (just to name a couple) without having to set my old OG X Box up, which is a huge bonus. The rapid resume function is really handy since I do like to jump about from game to game sometimes & the game pass subscription is great aswell,so it all adds up to a pretty bad ass console gaming experience.
My thoughts exactly. The only console war I am in is the war with myself over which one to use today. People who spend all their time arguing over which is "better" are wasting their energy and time. GO PLAY VIDEOGAMES instead. Lol Awesome video as always man. Love watching your channel grow so much!
It's sad the people in console wars don't even play the games, although maybe some do but they aren't that serious..they'd rather be entertained by arguments other people have smh
1000000% agree with you man, I was arguing with myself just an hour ago about which system to play and today Xbox won, let xbots and gaystation fanboys argue nonsense😂🤣 while me and you enjoy both👍
@@Lush-Sushi427me too, though i only have ps5 but i won't trash talk about any other device. Everyone has their own needs. Some might find playstation to be better while others might find xbox to fulfill their needs. Trying to prove which one is better is just.......nonsense.

being a dad , i found myself using my xbox way more than i did with my pc . ive had 2 pc’s and sold em em both and surprisingly my series x is still here 😂 iguess the simplicity of the console is what keeps me playing . just turn it on and go . 120fps is honestly good enough for me .
The Xbox Series X is the best console to me. I just wished more people would give it a chance because all my friends play on Playstation and I'm the only one with an Xbox.
@@MasterBen117 agreed. The controller is amazing to me. And they use regular batteries so you can swap them out easier rather than getting a new controller or doing a tedious battery swap on the PS5 controller. If I had friends on PC it would be better so I can play with them but all the kids at my school either have a PS4/PS5 or a Nintendo Switch 😭
God, it's good to hear someone not mind contrasting opinions and still relate to it as gaming. We should all be happy, not fall into silly dilemmas over which console "wins". It is amazing to sit down and resume a game without visiting the title screen and stop wherever you want. You make a great content creator. Check back on you next time.
I get the whole “not wanting to be at my desk”, at the end of a long day all I want to do is sit on the couch and turn on the Xbox or PlayStation, feels like a chore turning on the PC and trying to get comfy I typically play on PC on days I don’t work and don’t have anything to do
@@user-eu3kr9eb1m well controller support isn’t really the problem, more of sitting at a desk rather than relaxing on the couch. Not that all of my favorite games have controller support. If I wanted to use a PC on my Tv, I’d need to spend the money to build one powerful enough for 4K -120fps (my 4060 TI can’t even do that on todays games), make it aesthetically pleasing enough for the living room, get a razer turret or similar wireless keyboard setup, and sit close enough to see all the letters on the screen. Then if I want to watch Apple TV, I’d still want to switch to the convenience of the Xbox app rather than finding it on Microsoft edge.
Yeah I understand.... I work in IT and in uni part time and my day job is stressful so last thing I want to do after sitting Infront of 5 screens is sit aty desk for a further 4 hrs to Do some gaming! Just want that sofa and big TV and a few beers
It's amazing how much extra programable buttons on a pro controller helps. For instance in a lot of games A button is for activation BUT you move with the left thumbstick so you have to take a few precious milliseconds to take your thumb off the thumbstick to open the door or loot the chest etc. A pro controller can remap the activation button to the unused grip which you can in one fluid motion hit with your pinky which also goes unused. ALSO some pro controllers (Razer Wolverine) make the triggers shallower so you have less give before you scope and/ or fire so you get the first shot! I'm just commenting because I hate to see hardcore gamers that just use the standard controllers :(. But I wanna say, you don't get many reviews like this so late in the console's lifespan, good video!
@@MultiDark2012 Most ARPGs and shooters have you push the left analog stick to sprint. Due to my disability my feeble hands cannot do that in the midst of battle without blowing my cover if not significantly slowing my advance because of fumbling with my controller to correct my inability to depress the stick that moves you without moving the stick itself if not pressing another button as I have to use unusual methods to even do it in the first place. This allows me to easily program that function into a button that's easier to press such as one on the grip where all I need to do is squeeze. When the alternative is NOT being able to sprint at all in the midst of battle than YES it is worth my $30 extra ie when I bought my Razer Wolverine V1 Xbox ONE controler it was 70 bucks on sale, not all pro controlers cost 250. But yes, one of my bigger complaints about Playstation is their controllers are all SO EXPENSIVE! Xbox contollers aren't though (particularly if you don't care if it's wireless or not). Besides accessibility advantages it's just plain BETTER, it gives me shorter give on trigger buttons for FPS' and longer for racing sims. It lets me put buttons into more convenient positions whether I NEED to or not- in the end I breeze through bosses in Elden Ring I didn't have a chance against previously!
I am not a FANBOY!! So here's my pick as the best console to purchase (as a veteran gamer who has all systems)with all PROS & CONS: In first place, Nintendo Switch because: - It has the most AAA titles (Mario, DK, Zelda & Metroid...etc) - It's cheaper than the rest of the consoles and PC's - It's more geared towards Casual/Family/Co-op - Though it's not Graphics aren't as powerful as the rest, it's library of games are huge! - Battery 🔋 is overall the best over the rest long-term (especially using the Wii U)Use "8-bit" wireless controller device on Switch - Online features ok and Apps are NOT as great but it's primarily a gaming system - Best Mobile/Handheld system EVER!! - No system Crashes! - Games are the most expensive 😢 overall, even on Ebay - Cheapest system to purchase - Most convenient console to have ❤ - Flexible with other Switch Users - Old games can be digitally installed and played thru E-Shop on all systems - Games can be played offline Xbox Series is 2nd Place: - Controllers long-term are are Overall better than PS5. Get wired Controllers for all systems if you don't like remote control feature - Most flexible system Ever! - Battery life is 2nd place. Doesn't malfunction like PS5 Controllers over-time - Quick Resume! - Technically more powerful than both PS5 and Switch - Doesn't Crash or Overheat like PS5. Rarely crashes on Some graphical needy games. - Ultimate Gamepass! - Microsoft are purchasing gaming companies and is working with Nintendo. ❤❤❤ - Best Backward compatible system Overall! ❤❤❤ - Games purchased digitally can be played offline PS5 is in 3rd place: - Has good AAA like God of War, Horizon and Exclusives but not more than Nintendo - Fanboy hyped 😢 - Heavy install process 🥵 - Nice comfortable controllers. ❤ Features on controller aren't used often - Playstore sucks compared to Xbox Gamepass Ultimate - Lots of PS5 companies are moving to Xbox Microsoft & Nintendo 😢 - Games purchased digitally can't be played offline once Sony take away licenses from companies (research it ok) - Over time the controllers won't work properly. This has happened to me on all Playstation controllers 😢 PC 🖥 is in 4th place because: - Most Expensive - Games can't be played offline! - Graphics are the best - Fanboys love that mouse 🐁 😂😂😂 - Very expensive upgrades and repairs - Flexible with game controllers but you need to be technical savy to install anything - PC System not Overall convenient - Mouse and Keyboard nerds - Technical, technical, technical - Games are very cheap but can't be played offline 😢 - Modding - Not just for Gaming ❤
Hey mate and greetings from Australia. I don’t really care what others think. I just love them both also have the Switch OLED which has such an incredible little screen. Don’t be afraid to have honest takes as you can’t control what other people think they feel 😁 This is just such an amazing time to be a gamer. I have so far put 100 plus hours in Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 and an equal amount of hours if not more into Cyberpunk 2077 on series X. I feel lucky enough to have the Spider-Man 2 PS5 and the Halo edition Series X. I still think these are the best looking ones to date. (Yes I know you can just buy the plates for PS5 but I couldn’t find them in stock where as there were plenty of the console packs available.) Honestly you could easily just only buy those two games and be satisfied for a year if not longer without any further purchases. I do get free Gamepass though so I love the series X for that. I also have PS Extra and love how they have more and more PS1 games to muck around with as well as incredible titles . Especially anyone new to PlayStation. I can’t see why people can’t just enjoy gaming and worry so much what someone elses’s plastic box is 😁 Anyway I wish everyone happy gaming except those on mobile as they suck 🤪
Only downside to the disc drive on the Series X is because it's the same disc drive as was in the Xbox One S/X, some 4K blurays will have playback issues because of how large some of the discs can be!
Series x was my first xbox only played on PlayStation before that. I truly love my X to the point I haven't even played on a ps5 yet. I'm looking into getting one soon tho.
I have gaming PC with an RTX 4070 Ghost and I still play on my series X. Simplicity is the reason. You don`t need tons of different accounts and launchers in order to play games etc. I love PC but I wish they could simplify so that we did not need so many damn launchers like on consoles.
That's funny. I sold my Series x last year and invested in a gaming PC. Kept my PS5. Having a PC makes the xbox console redundant. Best decision i made
@@garethflook5706I used to be like you PC to the end but as you get older and your life gets busier with your career and family you will appreciate the simplicity of a console
I got my Series X for $350 from Target the day before Christmas this past year. Which was a steal price wise. Most of my games are Xbox 360 backwards compatible supported titles. I tend to get multiplats for my PS5 only because of the full game being on the disc. To test this I just pop the game in with no internet and have it install. I was disappointed that Starfield did not come on a UHD bluray. I had to download 60GB.
as pc gamer who tbh spent way too much recapturing the comfy factor of my console. I hate being at my desk and sitting in my bed or in my lazy boy helps me unwind so much more
Respect for starting out saying you don't care about console wars/ console vs pc debate. I also do not care and simply want to find the product that will give me the most utility at the best price.
Sold off my 3070 Ti build and grabbed myself an Xbox X and a steamdeck. I’m super happy with my swap I never miss my PC. Love how seamless the Xbox is never have to fix anything to make it work. At least once a week as a pc gamer I had something I needed to solve before my games would work the way I want them too
I bought a Xbox SX last christmas and I absolutely don’t regret it. For me, it all comes down to GamePass… so many games to try and play, including new released games, and also a game store that often has discount and promotion on older games… so it allows me to catch up on games I missed, all from my couch, no need to run at the store to get the disc, etc… with a 8Gbps Fiber internet, most games are downloaded and installed by the time I’m done preparing myself a drink and a snack. My only wish would be a new Xbox discless that would compensate by having larger storage, like a 2TB or 4TB internal, and 2 to 4 Expansion drive slots, with a NVME enclosure that would fit in the expansion slot, so we could use regular NVME for native expansion, so we could add 4x 4TB expansion drives, or even 4x 8TB if their price ever drop… that would be more than enough to store all the games we want and remove any “need” for physical disc…
Great video! My favorite reason was "beating off 3 people at once" always wondered how I could do that. In all honesty, I just bought the console to picked at Target in an hour. Excited! :D
That was a damn fine video dude. My series x is coming tomorrow. Im upgrading from the One s. All youtube vids are from like 3 years ago and i cant trust that. Such great demeanor you have a couple times i cracked up. Great content.
I used to be a heavy pc gamer. Now that I have kids and a family I just have 2 Series X’s. Amazing console 10/10 hopefully they update the controller soon
Great video man. I agree with everything you said, and the Series X having discord built in is huge for me. Also I saw Fortnite in your library so let me know when you’re ready for duos 👍🏻
Excellent unbiased review. I just upgraded from the Series S to the X. It's a massive jump and well worth the upgrade. You are definitely right that quick resume is gold. It's definitely a time saver. I loved this video. Keep up the great work.
Nice perspective. I was a PC gamer for many years first and foremost, but somehow have mostly gotten out of it over the past few years. The pandemic and chip shortages and price gouging hit, and I started to enjoy my PlayStation and Xbox consoles more (love them both) and now I find myself mostly unable to get back into PC gaming.
I've kinder gone the other way tbh was a console gamer, got fed up with the high prices - I love the fact that I can PC game then take my Steam deck out with me and continue the same game. Nah for me consoles are prob over now for me
I just bought the xbox series x 3 days ago with mw3 and madden '24. It's a cool console! A lot of free games too hit man 3 destroy all humans, destiny 2, rocket league, fortnite. And there's a lot of games with game pass as well. I've been playing too much since I bought it honestly
Just sold my Series S in order to save up for a Series X. I have a couple of questions....can I lay the console down flat (long ways) and does the disc drive work good with no problems now? I heard there were some issues with earlier models. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my comment and answer my questions 🙂 Great video by the way 👍🏻
@shamancult Thanks for your feedback, sir. Much appreciated! Yeah, I thought about it, and I'll probably end up going with the Xbox Series S 1tb model. What sucks is, I actually bought my Series S (the 500 GB white model) RIGHT BEFORE, the announcement of the black 1tb Series S model. I had no idea it was coming. I was like "aww man, cannot believe I rushed and did not wait!" Lol Digital games aren't so much a problem to me. I don't mind ditching the disc, the issue for me was that little bitty 500GB. It went WAY TOO FAST. But anyway, thanks for the input, man. I really appreciate it. Good luck with your channel 🙂
Just got mine today, i havent managed to try quick resume since ive only got a couple games installed so far, but the 120fps and insane loading times are amazing
After seven months, how do you like it so far? I'm thinking of getting an Xbox series x, but I'm not sure if it's worth the price or if I should I go for PS5 instead 😵💫
@manaremam6124 I'm still loving it, its just as good as it was when I first got it. However i think if youre debating wether to get a series X or a ps5, i think theyre both just as good as eachother
I have ps5 but now im trading it for a xbox series x just to plsy with my really good friends and such good games, plus with Microsoft buying a lot of companies it just makes sense
Makes much more sense to keep ps5 and buy a pc, because ps5 has exclusive titles you cant play anywhere else, all Xbox games can be played on pc so their is no need for Xbox series x and thats proably why ps5 keep outselling the Xbox series x
@@DeadPiixxelNot a good advice. He said he wants to play with his friends. I have tried playing with my friens who is on pc gamepass and the experience is not smooth. Having same platform for friends is better.
@@विचित्रलड़का I dont know what games you guys play but my experience with cross-platform in Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear Strive and Tekken 8 have been really good (I play on PS5). These games have Rollback netcode so even playing country to country, lag is just about non-existent. More so depends on the individual`s internet speed these days. EDIT: For reference, I live in Japan and play with friends in America who are either on PC or Xbox.
I don't care either. I own a gaming pc, a switch, a wii, a wii u. a ps5, ps4, ps3, xbox one x, xbox series x, and a vintage tiger games hand held football that doesn't work. I love games and care less about what system I need to get it on
I bought the Xbox remote for an extra $20 and use it for playing all my media as well as all gaming. Seamless and powerful switching in and out of both. Looking forward to second half of series x lifespan as this is where they usually squeeze the most performance out.
I have a Series S and to be honest it’s really delivered in every way I hoped that it would. It’s the first thing I turn off when I get home from work.
glad to see so many people have positive opinions on the xsx! ive had mine since day 1, but unfortunately, it's ended up worse for me than the xbone, at least that was an expensive blu ray player. I havent used the xsx for a decent chunk of time now. when i have time free from work, i tend to just go straight for my ps5. this gen started so positively for xbox, but for me, i think the lack of exclusives ended up with me affectively moving to pretty much just my ps5
Given the next gen rumours too, i think it'd be pretty smart if Xbox go with the cheaper version being something like a steam deck/rog ally, and the premium being a full blown console
Was an Xboxer since 2005 but been primarily on PC for 6 years or so. I do miss the simplicity of having just a game library on one system. I like the design, I'd get one if my One S ever dies/stops reading discs. But the PS5 is more "next gen" and actually has exclusives (tho they are trickling to PC), so I'd probably replace my PS4 first. Good video!
Finally someone who’s just blunt and straight honest. I’ve been on PC for over a decade now and even tried to get my PC on a TV via a wireless hdmi transmitter. I’m just absolutely burnt out with the troubleshooting and extra steps it takes to get a game working properly the way you want it to on a PC. Since switching over to Series X it’s been much more straight forward and streamlined + all the dead games on PC have plenty of players available on Xbox Live. It’s a great deal & much less hassle playing on Xbox over PC.
As a ps5 owner that just picked up The xbsx Im really impressed. Game pass is amazing and The fact that we get some pretty cool games this year on game pass is awsome. Visions of mana..cant wait 😊 The only thing i dont like is The controller. It feels a bit cheap and that clicky dpad could wake anyone up. But The console is amazing so far. Beats The atari 2600 i grew up with.
I actually picked the the elite 2 also from a PS owner, the lay out on the Xbox is the only issue I have, but def increased my KD on cod so maybe I'll get used to it.
It's just what you're used to,I don't like the PlayStation controller but it gets the job done. This is my first PlayStation. I've held older PlayStation controllers and this one is the best because they finally gave it a more ergonomic feel. Parallel sticks will always suck... Only Stadia and PlayStation went with them, both got the job done.
First time watching any of your videos . I like the information and your delivery. The only thing that took me by surprise was that “f” word in the beginning of the video , luckily my toddler had just walked to the other room and didn’t hear it (they pick up everything) specially bad words. Anyway, I hope you don’t take my comment in a bad way. I really appreciate the time you took to make this video which helped me make a decision in picking up an Xbox . Thank you .
I play my Xbox series x more than my ps5 It's just more for me to do on the Xbox emulation classic games from the back was compatibility that keeps me coming back I can't forget about game pass
I've been meaning to play Red Dead Redemption 1 on my xbox, I hear the backwards compatibility is amazing on Series X. I haven't dabbled with emulation yet, I've heard that's amazing too.
It looks like a giant can. Takes no disc. Will have a slightly higher refresh rate, storage, and maybe a few small things though. I’d go for the regular X as it may be the last disc Xbox ever. So you can collect older games and have them forever!
I have a PS5 and a 7900xt PC (used to have a Series X). I will say that PC is NOT perfect. At least on Series X when compared to PC, achievements pop properly and don't look like an email notice when they do, GamePass games on Series X all have achievements, and you don't have to launch other launchers to play a game on GP (Ubisoft- looking at you). Plus, the Series X is silent. My experience being back on PC has been very lukewarm. Yeah the picture is clearer and the frames are higher, but with so many 60fps+ games on console these days, its been a big meh especially with how many Canadian pesos the build cost me. I still play my PS5 more lol
Oh man. You’re making me nervous. I just bought this new flippin PC too. I took all your advice before! Thank you! I did the complete opposite and got that prebuilt LOL. I’ll explain myself. Soon… Don’t make me regret my purchase tho lmao. Watch me just use my Xbox still…
@@MinimalisTech can’t wait to see the explanation! The build was my favourite part. I think for me, I work on a laptop all day. Firing up my PC reminds me of my work laptop which kills me. I still use it but console mentally is better for me.
7900xt is great,so gonna have one ..maybe this year. But agree, its so much simpler to game on conslole, and i preferre Xbox over Ps5(dual sense is amazing btw),dunno why. Have both.
Play what you like, but I haven't touched my PlayStation since June. Played Wonder on the Switch and I've been done with it. GamePass just has too many games, I wish Palworld would launch on my ally though.
It's been 3 or so years since launch and retailers in Australia charge a whopping $800 for this, apparently there's a refresh coming towards the end of the year, with the only part really refreshing is an upgrade to 2TB of storage. Ridiculous that the price will be $600 USD.
With the fact that this generation hasn’t exactly been the best in terms of feeling next gen I feel like the series x is a pretty good option for playing older games using backwards compatibility, especially the old cods. Xbox 360 was the place to be back in the mw3 and bo2 days so being able to play those games again with a little better graphics and smoother gameplay is always a good time
I bought this to use it on my new Samsung QLED 100 inch TV. It’s awesome. But mainly I bought it because of its cube like design. I love its design though! ❤
I have an entry-level gaming laptop (ASS TUF F15, RTX 1650Ti) with XBOX game pass for PC, which works great for most games in medium to high settings (FIFA 23, NFS etc.). I am planning to get a console, but confused between PS5 and XBOX, after watching so many review videos. On one hand, PS5 has great exclusives, and DualSense Controllers with Adaptive Triggers, XBOX X has the Game Pass, which is cheaper in comparison to PS5 Plus subscription in India. Also, XBOX Game Pass Ultimate gives the access to play on Console, PC or Cloud Gaming. So, which one is better to go for? I always wanted a console since childhood but couldn't get one because of financial constraints, but now that I'm working I think I can get one (although not sure if I will get enough time to play 😞). Thanks in advance for any response, and sorry for the loooong comment!
Hi, got myself a xbox series x recently. Already have a ps5. Gamepass has better selection of games than playstation plus extra. Cod black ops 6 is releasing on gamepass in october. Been playing hellblade 2 on series x and it looks great. But ps5 has some exclusive games like Spiderman 2. It's a tough choice between ps5 and series x, but I would recommend series x due to gamepass content.
As much as people complain about the lack of exclusives, between Game Pass, backwards compatibility, deals on the Game Store, and all the major multiplatform releases, I've never had as much access to as many quality games as I do with the Series X.
I love both Series X and PS5. I choose Series X because I prefer the exclusives despite there not being a huge amount. I just enjoy Xbox better personally. But both are great consoles
Great review and presentation. I'm seriously considering an X Box for gaming, mainly for motor racing simulations. Leaving the PC platform after various Microsoft updates rendered my original games unusable. I was told X Box has a better selection of racing simulations than PS. Will try and save my money for a nice setup (with steering wheel, pedals, shifter). Any helpful advice is appreciated.
One thing I’ve noticed about my Series X is how easy it is to just play games. I love my PC and will always use it, but the Series X with Game Pass, cloud streaming, and Quick Resume makes it so easy to just launch a game and get playing right away
I have a PC and an Xbox, the reason I went with the Xbox was the convenience of having game pass on both systems. One at my desk, other one in the living room
Thank u for my last push to get the all access bundle w gamepass and the white series X :) My Gf is happy cuz it is white and fits into the design of our tv table^^
As someone who has never owned a console, I was thinking of getting an Xbox S/X as it's not only more affordable and just as potent as a PS5 but also because it's very space efficient. But then I started hearing about all these Xbox rumors
I have been into PC games for a long time and you get tired of dealing with PC issues and swapping out parts. Its nice just to sit back on the couch and just game and game pass is such a great deal.
I’m in the same boat as the director. I have a decent gaming pc but I find most of the time when I get home after working on computers all day, the last thing I feel like doing is sitting down in front of my gaming pc. It’s so much nicer imo to sit in my recliner where I’ve got a 65 inch screen and a sound bar with sub hooked up. As far as Xbox vs PlayStation, what did it for me this generation was basically in 2020 I was actually able to get an Xbox series s when all of the next generation consoles were being scalped. I did end up later upgrading to the Xbox series x from the series s, however in retrospect while I like my series x, not totally sure upgrading is worth it if you have a series s already. That said I could see myself picking up a ps5 later this year, especially now that the digital edition can be found for 400.
A rechargeable battery in a controller is wrong. You really like being screwed over don't you? 🧐 What happens when your battery goes wrong? You have to buy a whole $70 controller 😃 Where as with AA batteries it doesn't matter, you just buy a different set to use in any device you have, also, if your battery runs out in a DualSense you have to let it charge for hours or have another fully charged controller (For another $70 on top on the price of your console 😃) Where with the AA batteries, you just have to have two batteries charged, and as soon as your controller gets discharged you just pop in the other set of batteries and boom, you get another TWO WEEKS of gameplay in just 2 seconds. I just don't understand why anyone would want an internal battery for a controller over a controller with 4 Rechargeable AA batteries unless it's for the fake sense of luxury and quality, people who like this must be the same sort of people that were cheering Apple for not including a charger in the iPhone box anymore 🙂

So true I like both consoled and the fanboyism crazy.
Very true. I'm also a bit older and have both systems as well. Just want to have fun and this is exactly what both consoles do.
Faaaaaaacts! Same man!
Same here 40 year old here and I have both consoles. I have ps5 for their exclusives and XSX for gamepass and backwards compatibility

Quick resume is only important if you have experienced it. Because it's one of those little quality of life improvements that you just can't live without anymore after a while.
It doesn't work sometimes on my series s
@@LANFEAR93 there is a maximum of games that can be held in quick resume. If you exceed the designated amount of memory set a side for quick resume the game played the longest ago will cycle out.
Also if you've played a (play anywhere) game in quick resume on the cloud, pc or another console the game also needs to re launch even if it's in quick resume to sync with the progress made else where.

This is so real! As a busy adult, I thought I preferred PS5 until I got a Series X. Now my PS5 is just taking dust.
I can only imagine. It is one feature I think PS5 is really lacking. When I'm playing games directly from SSD it's not too bad, but when I switch to games on disk drive the loading screen is annoying. Quick, but annoying.
Picked up XBSX at Walmart for $350 during the holidays and having an absolute blast with it. Quick Resume is gold.
I picked up a $350 Xbox Series X too. What a deal. Loving it.
It was $300 recently at Staples too (still that price if you can find one in stock), but that's because they are getting rid of their video game section.
I want one so bad cause Sony is trash and the ps5 controllers get drift so easy 😫
Bunch of weirdos in these comments, feeling the need to say something shitty about Xbox just because they prefer a PC or PS5. Get a life.
Your comment nailed that in very few words ❤
Agreed, the amount of backwards compatibility with the X Box series X is just one of the great things about the console, especially since I’ve got a huge amount of OG xbox & 360 games in my collection. I can finally play my Timesplitters 2 & ‘Future Perfect games again (just to name a couple) without having to set my old OG X Box up, which is a huge bonus. The rapid resume function is really handy since I do like to jump about from game to game sometimes & the game pass subscription is great aswell,so it all adds up to a pretty bad ass console gaming experience.
What do you mean by hardware?
For me hardware is the CPU, GPU etc.

Just bought one after having a one s for a minute and I was not expecting my games to look so good. I lt actually made me feel like a kid again
I get the whole “not wanting to be at my desk”, at the end of a long day all I want to do is sit on the couch and turn on the Xbox or PlayStation, feels like a chore turning on the PC and trying to get comfy
I typically play on PC on days I don’t work and don’t have anything to do
@@user-eu3kr9eb1m well controller support isn’t really the problem, more of sitting at a desk rather than relaxing on the couch.

@s.1mt tell me you’ve never read the specifications without telling me you’ve never read the specifications 😂
@s.1mt your opinion
$250 AUD for a controller with a couple of extra programmable buttons, I think not.
So here's my pick as the best console to purchase (as a veteran gamer who has all systems)with all PROS & CONS:
In first place, Nintendo Switch because:
- It has the most AAA titles (Mario, DK, Zelda & Metroid...etc)
- It's cheaper than the rest of the consoles and PC's
- It's more geared towards Casual/Family/Co-op
- Though it's not Graphics aren't as powerful as the rest, it's library of games are huge!
- Battery 🔋 is overall the best over the rest long-term (especially using the Wii U)Use "8-bit" wireless controller device on Switch
- Online features ok and Apps are NOT as great but it's primarily a gaming system
- Best Mobile/Handheld system EVER!!
- No system Crashes!
- Games are the most expensive 😢 overall, even on Ebay
- Cheapest system to purchase
- Most convenient console to have ❤
- Flexible with other Switch Users
- Old games can be digitally installed and played thru E-Shop on all systems
- Games can be played offline
Xbox Series is 2nd Place:
- Controllers long-term are are Overall better than PS5. Get wired Controllers for all systems if you don't like remote control feature
- Most flexible system Ever!
- Battery life is 2nd place. Doesn't malfunction like PS5 Controllers over-time
- Quick Resume!
- Technically more powerful than both PS5 and Switch
- Doesn't Crash or Overheat like PS5. Rarely crashes on Some graphical needy games.
- Ultimate Gamepass!
- Microsoft are purchasing gaming companies and is working with Nintendo. ❤❤❤
- Best Backward compatible system Overall! ❤❤❤
- Games purchased digitally can be played offline
PS5 is in 3rd place:
- Has good AAA like God of War, Horizon and Exclusives but not more than Nintendo
- Fanboy hyped 😢
- Heavy install process 🥵
- Nice comfortable controllers. ❤ Features on controller aren't used often
- Playstore sucks compared to Xbox Gamepass Ultimate
- Lots of PS5 companies are moving to Xbox Microsoft & Nintendo 😢
- Games purchased digitally can't be played offline once Sony take away licenses from companies (research it ok)
- Over time the controllers won't work properly. This has happened to me on all Playstation controllers 😢
PC 🖥 is in 4th place because:
- Most Expensive
- Games can't be played offline!
- Graphics are the best
- Fanboys love that mouse 🐁 😂😂😂
- Very expensive upgrades and repairs
- Flexible with game controllers but you need to be technical savy to install anything
- PC System not Overall convenient
- Mouse and Keyboard nerds
- Technical, technical, technical
- Games are very cheap but can't be played offline 😢
- Modding
- Not just for Gaming ❤
A very good comment that I also agree with
Hey mate and greetings from Australia. I don’t really care what others think. I just love them both also have the Switch OLED which has such an incredible little screen.
Don’t be afraid to have honest takes as you can’t control what other people think they feel 😁
This is just such an amazing time to be a gamer.
(Yes I know you can just buy the plates for PS5 but I couldn’t find them in stock where as there were plenty of the console packs available.)
Honestly you could easily just only buy those two games and be satisfied for a year if not longer without any further purchases.
I do get free Gamepass though so I love the series X for that.
I also have PS Extra and love how they have more and more PS1 games to muck around with as well as incredible titles . Especially anyone new to PlayStation.
I can’t see why people can’t just enjoy gaming and worry so much what someone elses’s plastic box is 😁
Anyway I wish everyone happy gaming except those on mobile as they suck 🤪
Only downside to the disc drive on the Series X is because it's the same disc drive as was in the Xbox One S/X, some 4K blurays will have playback issues because of how large some of the discs can be!
But overall it is good?
I have been shocked by the quality of Xbox 360 games on the Xbox Series X.
Series x was my first xbox only played on PlayStation before that. I truly love my X to the point I haven't even played on a ps5 yet. I'm looking into getting one soon tho.

At least once a week as a pc gamer I had something I needed to solve before my games would work the way I want them too
I’ve been meaning to try the steam deck. Tempted!
LOL
I bought a Xbox SX last christmas and I absolutely don’t regret it. For me, it all comes down to GamePass… so many games to try and play, including new released games, and also a game store that often has discount and promotion on older games… so it allows me to catch up on games I missed, all from my couch, no need to run at the store to get the disc, etc… with a 8Gbps Fiber internet, most games are downloaded and installed by the time I’m done preparing myself a drink and a snack. My only wish would be a new Xbox discless that would compensate by having larger storage, like a 2TB or 4TB internal, and 2 to 4 Expansion drive slots, with a NVME enclosure that would fit in the expansion slot, so we could use regular NVME for native expansion, so we could add 4x 4TB expansion drives, or even 4x 8TB if their price ever drop… that would be more than enough to store all the games we want and remove any “need” for physical disc…

glad to see so many people have positive opinions on the xsx! ive had mine since day 1, but unfortunately, it's ended up worse for me than the xbone, at least that was an expensive blu ray player.
Great summary. From someone who loves PC hardware/tech this is a strong case for console gaming.
Good video!

Since switching over to Series X it’s been much more straight forward and streamlined + all the dead games on PC have plenty of players available on Xbox Live. It’s a great deal & much less hassle playing on Xbox over PC.

A lot of people won’t admit it but Xbox got one up with the quick resume. It is clutch AF..
new XBOX coming out this year 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Can’t wait!
Next year
sources say 2024 tho@@darkspd31
Wheres the official information about that?
It looks like a giant can. Takes no disc. Will have a slightly higher refresh rate, storage, and maybe a few small things though. I’d go for the regular X as it may be the last disc Xbox ever. So you can collect older games and have them forever!
I have asked Santa for a Series X this year. New Canadian subscriber here. 👋🏼
Soon…
Don’t make me regret my purchase tho lmao. Watch me just use my Xbox still…
@@MinimalisTech can’t wait to see the explanation! The build was my favourite part.
I think for me, I work on a laptop all day. Firing up my PC reminds me of my work laptop which kills me. I still use it but console mentally is better for me.
@@mikem2253 you and me both man! Cheers
7900xt is great,so gonna have one ..maybe this year. But agree, its so much simpler to game on conslole, and i preferre Xbox over Ps5(dual sense is amazing btw),dunno why. Have both.
I kinda feel the same way...and I have a 4090 in my PC. It's just easier to hop on console, and having an OLED TV really adds to the experience.
PS5 hands down has the best games. But. People fail to realize, as you mentioned ruined, Xbox just has a better gaming experience
Sorry man my PS5 still rocks!🤪
Definitely the most truthful realistic point of view I've seen about this console "brilliant"
With the fact that this generation hasn’t exactly been the best in terms of feeling next gen I feel like the series x is a pretty good option for playing older games using backwards compatibility, especially the old cods. Xbox 360 was the place to be back in the mw3 and bo2 days so being able to play those games again with a little better graphics and smoother gameplay is always a good time
@0:23 lol beat off 3 people at once 😂😂😂
There it is 😂
I hate the console wars. It is just sad how people are always trying to compare them.
Is buying a x series x for just starfeld worth it? What does the console offer me as a mainly playstation user?
Just found your channel great content. Looking forward to watching all your videos.
Loved the cool nanoleaf lines in the background, added a fun vibe to your Xbox Series X review in 2024.
@@tonysebastian202 Thank you for the suggestion 😊
0:49 literally I don’t understand the hate ppl need to chill
I have a PC and an Xbox, the reason I went with the Xbox was the convenience of having game pass on both systems. One at my desk, other one in the living room
I’ve been pc gaming since like 2019 and honestly I miss the simplicity of console gaming. So I ordered a series x today.
Yeah dude this sorta resonates for me too. I’ve been playing a lot of diablo 4 on my series x despite having a pc.
Thank u for my last push to get the all access bundle w gamepass and the white series X :)
My Gf is happy cuz it is white and fits into the design of our tv table^^
As someone who has never owned a console, I was thinking of getting an Xbox S/X as it's not only more affordable and just as potent as a PS5 but also because it's very space efficient. But then I started hearing about all these Xbox rumors
Developer mode is my one of my favorite features on this console can play just about anything
I have been into PC games for a long time and you get tired of dealing with PC issues and swapping out parts.
Its nice just to sit back on the couch and just game and game pass is such a great deal.
You’re my favorite reviewer now bro lol “and typically when I clapped the cheeks” lol 😂 boy you hell!!! you got a new fan now
I just bought one today randomly and this video has helped me get up to speed. Been awhile since I’ve gamed.
You have to buy a whole $70 controller 😃 Where as with AA batteries it doesn't matter, you just buy a different set to use in any device you have, also, if your battery runs out in a DualSense you have to let it charge for hours or have another fully charged controller (For another $70 on top on the price of your console 😃)
Where with the AA batteries, you just have to have two batteries charged, and as soon as your controller gets discharged you just pop in the other set of batteries and boom, you get another TWO WEEKS of gameplay in just 2 seconds.
I just don't understand why anyone would want an internal battery for a controller over a controller with 4 Rechargeable AA batteries unless it's for the fake sense of luxury and quality, people who like this must be the same sort of people that were cheering Apple for not including a charger in the iPhone box anymore 🙂
