Milan and Nathan, are on the hunt for a giant King Fish. They are fishing spots that they have talked about fishing for 15 years but for whatever reason just haven’t done it.

Amazing footage of the kingi chasing the kahawai at the end. That kahawai still had some boogie even with a hook in him!
It was a big ass freshly caught Kahawai and it didn’t want anything to do with the king fish!

Can´t wait to fish NZ again! This Videos make me miss it heaps, when I was in NZ BAF was by far my favorite show and now I am stoked to see you on UA-cam! The best fishing of my life was landbased fishing the Tauranga harbour and the tip of Coromandel. Even went out with a guy you know, D. Hawkins had an awesome time, even that we blanked, but being infront of Matakana at sunset, so special and I will never forget that. Wanted to be back by the end of this year for work. We will see how that goes...Hope to see you fishing the harbour here on UA-cam! Keep fishing and continue with these sick videos! Greets from Germany!

The Lateral Line I was working together with Misses Hawkins for some time and she noticed what a keen fisherman I was, so she got him to take me out for fishing one time. Another great example how nice you Kiwis are 🤙🏽 really looking forward for the next videos! Hope to see the inlet in Bowentown. Got my first ever NZ fish there, an undersized Kingy.

Loving the new show bros.. was that one of the new saltigas? can you talk us thro the line clip for your live bait outfit?!
Hey mate. Milan does have one of the new saltigas 👍 but not a big one yet though. The clip is just there to hold the line so you can have the bail arm on the spin real open (free spool) the clip Stops the live bait from swimming away. But it’s only just holding the live so if the bait pulls to hard the clip will “pop” and the reel is then in free spool. Also when a king fish grabs the live bait, the clip will pop, so again the reel is in free spool so the king fish can eat the bait. Same as a bait runner reel does if you have used one of them? After the king eats the bait we free spool them for just enough time for the king to get the hook in his mouth and then “stick him” strike it to set the hook and then hold on 😁👍

Milan bro ! I have to ask what happened to Big Angry Fish bro ? I’m so used to seeing you fishing in those videos I guess your mostly boat fishing back then but all channels and advertising is just gone ? and the lateral line looks more like land based fishing. Your fishing is awesome though bro maybe one day when I get back to NZ I can catch all the kawai for your live baiting !
We stopped doing big angry fish as it just got to hard and no fun. The lateral line is easy as and heaps of fun 😎 all landbased fishing so far yes but the boat is nearly ready to go 👍
epic guys. how are ya filming with the iPhone is it on a gimbal etc or just holding by hand? do ya have plans for gopros/action cameras or will ya just stick with the phones?
Just hand held mate. Definitely gonna get a gimbal. We got a go pro for under water shots now to. Happy as with the iphone as it’s so easy, but there are some image quality issues I’m trying to sort out but getting there, learning lots.
Hopefully fishing next week after a huge break 😎

We stopped doing it as it just got hard and wasn’t fun any more. The Lateral Line is easy (just Milan and I going fishing with my iPhone) easy is fun and fun is the whole reason we go fishing 😎

Is the helicopter access to get to rjose remote places for public use?
The helicopter was up there doing tours at the time for anyone wanting to see the area from the air and they got permission to land to drop keen fisho’s off and we just rocked up and had a crack 😁 hopefully they will be doing it again this summer?

Nar man. Walked away as it just got to hard and no fun. Then a year later ended up here 😂 it’s easy (just Milan and I with my iPhone) easy is fun 😎 and we can just do what we love 😁

Yer man, stopped BAF with no intenshions of making any fishing content ever again but then had Daiwa, Suzuki and a few other companies asking us what we were doing and were we keen to make some content for them as they needed some marketing. So came up with the concept of just Milan and I going fishing and me filming it all and editing it all on my iPhone and said will you back that????? And they were keen so “the lateral line” was born as the say 😎👍 it’s easy to make and easy is fun 👍 we left BAF because it just got to hard and painful.

I hear you man. We got hammered for it when we started big angry fish. Every spot is someone else’s spot and I understand your comment fully. We learnt real quick not to do it and for some reason I just didn’t think when I recorded the talk as I’d only ever seen that spot on TV and in magazines (I’d never fished it Milan had though) i was just so excited to be there. Other than next week it won’t happen again!!!!!!
@@TheLateralLine I totally understand, it is a well known spot. But when famous fellas like yourselves name spots everyone starts flocking to certain areas assuming that they'll catch fish especially when they have no regard/respect for the area. Just makes it unfair for people who do the hard yards of mapping out spots, doing the research and doing countlesssss hours of experimental fishing. Meant no disrespect i'm a huge fan boy when you comes to you guys, i carry my prized Carpenter lure just in case I might bump into you guys to get it signed. Huge love.
