    Please excuse my colorful expression here.... But, I f*ckin love this banjo!!!! Best thing I've ever spent money on. I feel transported from the first pluck of the strings... Especially when playing Reuben. The power and clarity you get all the way up the neck is u paralleled at this price point! Bless Goldtone for guiding me when I purchased this at their Titusville, FL location.

    I tried to buy a used GT OB3 Twanger, but it turned into a mess. Maybe one of these days I'll get my hands on one, love that sound!

    I Just bought a Banjo from a "local store" and I'm not happy with it. Day one and I'm having a "string slip out of place" !?! I didn't know You had one available. Im thinking I'll give the shop I bought this one from and make arrangements to return this one and purchase Yours. I've never played one before but sorta "fell right into" the Fun of "playing" on a Banjo.

    I had to sell my Fender FB-58 recently, but the neck was too thick for my stubby meat hooks lol! Currently in decision phase for my next 5 string, between an RK36, or one of the offerings from Gold Tone. Gold tone is a bit better for my price range, but should number hesitant at all in possibly buy the GT? GOD BLESS AND KEEP PICKING!

    Hi Ben, I'm interested to know your take on radiused fretboard on Banjo.

    • @BanjoBen
      @BanjoBen  2 роки тому

      Howdy! I used to play a radiused board which was great for when I was playing tons of guitar because it felt more like a guitar. However, when I started playing more traditional sounding banjo stuff (Scruggs, Crowe, etc), I found the flat board gave me the best tone and feel for that stuff. But keep in mind that there are folks out there that play it all on a radiused board!

    Wow. Love that twang!
    How would you you compare this to an to rk r35 banjo. Higher quality or same???

    • @BanjoBen
      @BanjoBen  5 років тому +1

      Though I think the RK banjos are great banjos for the money, there is no competition. This banjo has a supreme fit and finish and the tone/power is a completely different level.

    In your opinion which has more power and punch, the twanger or the OB-250 Arch Top?

  • @luvbgrass
    @luvbgrass Рік тому

    Were 3 different Twangers played in this video, or was it all the same, just three different players. I think 3 different banjos. EE

    How old were y'all when you started to learn to play? I just bought my 5 year old son a mandolin and I'm curious about how well he will be able to pick it up at his age.

    • @BanjoBen
      @BanjoBen  5 років тому +4

      I started banjo at 20 and mandolin after that. I had played piano since I was 4 which provided a good foundation.

    How does this compare to the OB-250? They seem to be around the same price point, but from what I can tell, they're both intended to replicate different classic banjos. The OB-250 seems to be a Mastertone clone, what about this one?

    • @BanjoBen
      @BanjoBen  5 років тому +1

      The Twanger is a more accurate Mastertone copy because of the scale length and fit assembly. This banjo is more powerful, we've found, and really pops. It has a fat rim and no-hole tone ring. We just love it!

      That's the strum hollow fifth string capo from Banjo Ben's website. I have two of them. They are excellent.

    I got the email notification since I am subscribed to your channel. Watched the video, and within 10 minutes went to your website.
    , It shows the banjo is already sold out. Doesn't seem like a good way to promote your store.

    • @BanjoBen
      @BanjoBen  5 років тому +8

      If I had more, I'd sell 'em...haha. As it states on the site, the first batch of 36 sold out immediately, but you can select the "notify me when available" button to stay in the loop. Thanks!

    • @LarryPerkins78
      @LarryPerkins78 2 роки тому

      Just goes to show you the difference in people: hearing about this is a wonderful way to promote the store. Evidently 36 people were impressed enough with the video to order the banjo. 36 people are confident in the store and feel comfortable enough to buy the banjo on the strength of the video. 36 people rushing to buy this banjo says Banjo Ben's store is doing something right...Having Robbie Boone's involvement really says all I'd need to know about it...if I was in the market for a banjo I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Banjo Ben
