    filing the old nail down to repair it or to replace it definately takes awhile... I just filed down my old acrylics that were in serious need of it and it took about 10-15 mins on each nail. Mind you the acrylic was cheap and very thick. Thanks for the videos :D love them all!!

    Today I went to go get my nails done. I had asked for a set of acrylic nails which were to be rounded.. I guess kinda like an oval shape. The first thing I saw they had messed up on was using an oversized brush to apply the acrylic.. So she ended up getting acrylic on my skin.. She also made my nails shorter than I had asked her to, she basically did what she wanted, not what I had asked for. She cut them way too short. Although she asked me what length I wanted, when she put the clippers up to my nail and asked me if it was at a good length, I said I wanted longer and she didn't even listen to me. While putting on the nail polish she made it very uneven and the end up my nails look almost like they are going outwards at the ends and are way too thick (Like duck nails!!lol ohmygod) Not to mention she had cut me 5 times with the nail drill! I complained about it but they didn't seem to care and STILL made me pay full price even though they were absolutely nothing to what I wanted. I wish there were people in my area that are as gentle and nice as you! Hopefully I can learn how to do my own acrylics soon so I can avoid this from happening again and wasting $45.

    • @mami_goblin
      @mami_goblin 9 років тому +5

      You shouldn't have paid. Sorry for the late reply but this made me angry. I would have just walked out of there and told them I wasn't paying. If they can't do there job right, you shouldn't have to settle with it.

    • @evelyntaylor6133

    • @laurenconger4296

      Gel is a lot shinier and a lot stronger. Gel top coat MUST be set by a UV lamp, it will not air dry.

    • @autumnboo2323

    I get my nails done all the time and I have NEVER seen a pinching tool what does it do and what is the purpose.
    Also when I get my nails done they put on the pink powder first and use a metal tool that has the natural curve of the smile line built into it and just scrap off some and then do the white powder. Do you know what that tool is called (it is circular and has different settings you can use to make the smile line)? and what are your thoughts on the tool?

  • @sachikoamaui
    @sachikoamaui 12 років тому

    1.Don't do it as you can cause the nail to lift from the nail bed.
    and 2. It will not cause it to lift from the nail bed.
    I really love the way this makes a nail look and how it slims it down. But I am afraid that I will harm my clients. Can you please go over this?
    Thanks! From Washington State U.S.A

    So instead of drilling out a new smile line your way is to just go over the top with new acrylic and put the new line where you want it...? With the other way I heard that some people have trouble with "shadows", and there are other ways to remedy this..... but with going right over the top and using very opaque white this most solve that problem, and it seems alot easier.....
