She slays these nails in 13 minuets!! Meanwhile I'm still trying to paint my toe nails from last year

Just the length of time those nails have lasted with no lifting or cracking speaks VOLUMES about Kirsty's skills.

Kirsty I don't know if this will be funny or shocking to you, but a lot of typical salons here in the US (especially California) do nails super fast like this and it bothers me so much!! Because they skip over fine details and don't file enough, cut into the skin and the nail bed with the e file, etc. That's why I got inspired to watch this channel a year ago and start doing my own nails. I hope I'm as good as you someday!

i've always felt like the nail salon was going too fast and now that i've started watching youtube videos on the matter I can see just how many CRUCIAL steps they've been skipping over. like I have literally NEVER had my nails primed or anything and i've been having my nails done "professionally" for years"

The best techs I know take 3hrs for full set w designs. Start to finish and 2hrs for fills. Chop shops throw crap on in an hour and miss many nail prep necessities.

Rose Card Tammy Taylor did hold the record for fastest set of acrylic nails for at one point. I think it was for sculpted pink and whites. I don't quite remember the exact time ... 20 minutes..I think.

Tammy Taylor product is goopy feeling to me. I would love to get my hands on some of Naio Nail product. Still to this day my fav is the old school Solar Nail acrylic that Creative had. I got out of the Nail biz YEARS ago and entered the medical field. I still get a wild hair up my ass & will put a set on myself and keep em on for 6 mos or so before I start to feel like it’s taking to much time to keep em up... Been wanting to put them back on again lately. Been thinking of putting bangs back in my hair too!LOL Playing salon is my creative outlet these days!LOL Love arching these videos. Loved my days working in the shop!!😁

It's also the way people use their hands. my nails can last for 2 month's and longer without any damage. while friends have breakages in a month looking like they crawled out a graveyard . But I'm used having long natural nails, there is a big difference with natural nails you never want breakage they not that strong as fake nails . So for the first time gel nails they last for 2 months without and damage I just nail polished them after 1 month. Because I had a outgrow I filled lmfao 😂😂😂 this was my first and last time, I'm going to remove them soon and never again.

So many people commenting about her ring finger nail being crooked. It isn't a mistake made by Kirsty, the nail is crooked ON her finger, it grows that way naturally. My right ring finger nail is the same. Drives me nuts, but nothing I can do about it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I did a complete fill, both hands, in 45 minutes once. I don't use an electric fill so it was all hand filing. That was a very busy day! They weren't as grown out as that ladies but it had been over a month. I always put my acrylic on as neat and smoothly as possible because it cuts down on filing. And I had never thought of smoothing it out with acetone! What a neat trick! I know it now! I just used finer and fiber files until it was smooth. The lady was on her lunch break is why I did them as fast as I could.

Tracey Hames I believe it will be indicated on most of the containers. same as makeup. look for a small little shape with a number in it, for example"12m" this means it has a shelf life of 12 months. some of the packages that come with several small pots may be harder to find tho.

Patricia Cisneros Christina only does polish and really doesn't have a whole lot in common with Kristy other than some nail art. They are great examples of the broad spectrum that nail art takes with one being at the end of creating the nails themselves to perfection and the other one being at the end of decorating existing nails to perfection. Maybe there IS a common thread they could colab. on there... they could do a perfect set of nails on someone with the worst nails on the planet. That would be interesting, I agree.

This is fast and beautiful work! That's what I expect almost. I hate those slowly, less talented, embarrassing "ladies", who's call themself professionals and keep high prices for really really bad work.... my last builded gel nails fell off 2 weeks after! and I'm a really patience girl...but sitting 4 HOURS for 2 weeks... it's unacceptable... (It's not my first nail experience!) It's a good example for every nail technician!!!

not surprise with the time about 15 mins, in fact not many clients come back with out cut down and reshape, need to cut lifting and remove cuticle , maybe put a tip on as well, also need to apply Shellac on top, usually takes about 45mins in total to do a fill

This is quietest I've ever seen u in your videos Kirsty! LOL That was even quicker than what the Vietnamese Nail Bars can do infills in and they use elec drills for everything! I wanted to ask, what products (Powder and Monomer) did your client have on before you started? I can't believe how well they looked for how long ago she had them done! There was barely any lifting. I'm looking at starting to do my own nails, but not sure what brand to use, as I'm used to having them done at the Vietnamese Nail Bars and they are literally like concrete, but I've now read about some of their products being dangerous etc Any advice on which products I could try, that's durable like what I'm used to, but not dangerous? Loving all your vids I've seen, keep them coming, as u are hilarious but also great at explaining everything.
