For the king, it would throw the kingdom into a nightmare of political and religious turmoil. So I know the king in berserk was gross and had a thing for his daughter, but even if he didn't he would still do the same and Griffith would still be guilty with said precontext.

Griffith is one of the best written characters I have ever seen in a manga! He is one of my favorite characters to dislike and try to understand. To be honest, I still don’t think I completely understand him. Characters like him can evoke strong emotions in people.

I’m sorry but Griffith isn’t as evil as people make him out to be. Sure he’s a rapist, mass murderer, and war criminal but that’s basic for anime villains. Especially compared to characters like Genishka or The Sea God who aren’t even from other anime he doesn’t seem like the beacon of evilness.
Its not just the crime that counts you know. Someone who killed a random person is evil but someone who killed their best friend who deeply trusted in them is more evil. War crimes aside that its really nothing special, yeah he graped casca but so what? Many in berserk did grape women as well so why is he worse? Because not only he did after casca was graped by god knows how many monsters (and also the fact that she was someone who she respected and was incredible loyal to) but also did it infront of Guts (which was her boyfriend). Having already knew that, I i side with Griffith, after having guts, basically my best friend permanently leave me (from what i would know) and my band not helping save me (considering i wouldn't know they got absolutely destroyed) and going through all that torment, fuck yeah i would sacrifice them, and even after guts came back, griffith still had love for guts, as griffith stopped trying to strangle guts, say I'm wrong, but thats how I feel.
He didn’t deserved the torture. He wasn’t a good person before, he had his own sins, but what happened to him in that jail, was to much. Probably that’s why the darkness totally corrupted him, because that sadistic guy, wiped out everything good that was in him, and after nothing remained, the demons called for him. But than, he give to me so many narcissistic traits, that convinced me that he is indeed a narcissist, and everyone knows that a narcissist doesn’t have empathy, so than he was just a narcissist psychopath, who got at the point of no return after the torture. Bro I'm ot tryna be that guy but this is 1000x worse than anything guts has ever felt. Imagine getting your tendons cut, that alone is more than enough to make you feel pain. Not to mention, the torturer probably played with the cut parts too, probably forced him a ton of times and when you get tortured to your face, it's really painful. And he was tortured in the parts where the nervous system is complex. Meaning, he had to experience a lot of pain

I’m sorry but Griffith isn’t as evil as people make him out to be. Sure he’s a rapist, mass murderer, and war criminal but that’s basic for anime villains. Especially compared to characters like Genishka or The Sea God who aren’t even from other anime he doesn’t seem like the beacon of evilness.

Someone who killed a random person is evil but someone who killed their best friend who deeply trusted in them is more evil.
War crimes aside that its really nothing special, yeah he graped casca but so what? Many in berserk did grape women as well so why is he worse?
Because not only he did after casca was graped by god knows how many monsters (and also the fact that she was someone who she respected and was incredible loyal to) but also did it infront of Guts (which was her boyfriend).
And at the end she end up crazy, barely a shadow of who she was.

He didn’t deserved the torture. He wasn’t a good person before, he had his own sins, but what happened to him in that jail, was to much. Probably that’s why the darkness totally corrupted him, because that sadistic guy, wiped out everything good that was in him, and after nothing remained, the demons called for him. But than, he give to me so many narcissistic traits, that convinced me that he is indeed a narcissist, and everyone knows that a narcissist doesn’t have empathy, so than he was just a narcissist psychopath, who got at the point of no return after the torture. Even so, he didn’t deserved that. Him and Johan, still remain my favourite anime villain characters.
