i think that particularly this action was one of the most important thing that caused Gut's leaving. He finally understood that he did bad things for what particular reason ? somenone's dream ? And after that event he came to Griffith who was having fun in his dreams.
The Lost Children arc really is disturbing. The one elf-bee-child-monster that screamed 'adult attack', took his stinger and shoved it up some other elf-bee-child-monster's ass, after which it reverted back to a human child that is now dead because of anal rupture is one of the most horrible things I've ever seen in any form of media.

They really need to do Berserk justice in animated form and also not skip the Lost Children arc. That arc really affected Guts as a character and kinda introduced the audience to the new, more gruesome way the series went.
All throughout the Eclipse, I had this feeling of constant dread. It felt like there was no hope, defeat was imminent. No matter how much Guts pushed himself, the odds were insurmountable.
Out of all the things in this manga, the attack on Midland by the Kushans was one of the most disturbing things to me. Them cutting off the heads of POWs en masse and burning civilians alive just to get rid of them is pretty true to life with ancient empires conquering other lands.
I'm a bit late, but like I respec this vid. Usually you'd think Eclipse hands down for most disturbing, but this video took me outta that. Like sure the Eclipse was disturbing, but it was more tears everywhere, hatred in the heart, wth Griffith disturbing. Kids killing and raping eachother, so gruesomely and almost as if it's nothing special. That's disturbing.
Wyald’s antics is number one for me personally. I absolutely felt so sick after those parts. Kinda toned up Berserk for me and everything else kinda becomes a little easier to swallow. But each of the r*pe parts still scar me that part stuck with me. But yeah. This is just bringing it all back to me and I’m having flashbacks lol! But it’s a great ass manga definitely recommend.
That scene with the "elf" psudo-apostles just adds fuel to the fire of Guts's parting message to Jill, "There's no paradise for you to escape to." It's powerful stuff, both in Berserk and in real life. What you see is what you get, and there is the worst kind of evil all around you every moment of every day. Just think about it, especially if you're in a big city. You are never more than 2 miles at most from sex slavers, drug traffickers, politicians seeking to bleed you dry and control you, etc... and everywhere you go, that very same depravity will only ever be a couple stone's throws away. There's no afterlife for the individual. What you see is what you get. So stop running. Never let others decide your life for you, and never trade away your individuality. Much like Guts with his brand, we are all doomed to attract, and be hunted down by, those seeking to impose their will on us. So struggle again it, and if you must fall, go down swinging.
I had been binging the manga hardcore and felt so sick after the troll cave that I put it down a for a week or so, only to start reading again and be graced by the Man-Made Behelit
@@mohammedriadh6019 yes, this is absolutely true, with berserk I was shocked, with emergence, I was not only shocked but, I really questioned everything and it made me feel like shit
The Lost Children arc is probably my favorite part of Berserk so far (I'm only on volume 24 mind you), but I 100% agree that the scene with the kids acting killing each other when "playing" war was probably the most disturbed I've been reading this manga so far, and that's saying a lot XD.
Watching this video really gives me a perspective on how Miura wanted to portray the times were back then. So many unsung victims were tortured, raped, hurt, etc. With how it is today, I'm kind of thankful how the world's not too much extreme anymore. And I hate the goddamn Wild Antics rape scene. Never have I ever wanted to tear limb from limb Wyald so bad for what he had done to the little girl.
Which was probably the idea- Slan is fuckin` hot, but then you start asking yourself "what the fuck is wrong with me?". And i say- that was the intent. I will say something even more gross- when we see trolls gang- bang, my dick was like "wha... wha... what`s going on?" and i literally said "down boy. You don`t want to see that", and i had crisis right that instant- literally "what the fuck is wrong with me?"
Number one is probably the Eclipse, but mainly just for Casca. The fact that this was right after Wyald too just made it worse. That whole Heretic “ritual/party/wtf” section during the Conviction Arc was also a close second; I was genuinely wondering what the hell was happening then on top of being disgusted. The King and Ganishka being creepy towards Charlotte are also up there.
dude i'm barely on 7 (the torchure chamber) and im sitting here thinking if the horse was 10 and this is 7...... no. I can't do this. I'll drop a like and back out thanks.
My number one is still the eclipse concluding with Casca’s rape. When I first watched Berserk, I rented volumes 3 and 4 from Blockbuster. Enjoyed ‘em, and thought “lemme test Volume 6” because for some reason I thought there were 8 total DVD’s. I don’t think there was a time where I said “what the fuck” quite so much, to the point where I started cynically chuckling “what the hell happened to this show?” When I found out later that night that those were the final episodes for the ‘97 series, I felt utterly crushed.
Up till now I have no idea why did Griffth rape her? First of all it's not like Griffth's style of dealing with things also he could've done things more brutal than that and it would've split Guts in half. But he went and raped her!
Call me weak but the lost children scene actually made my guts twist and I couldn’t stop thinking about how sick that scene was for a week. I had to stop reading a week
I never finished Berserk, I watched Wyald's arc and stopped for obvious reasons, but the night I read it I had a dream I don't think ill forget. ever, I dreamt the life of a man who was locked in this horrific world by an entity he could not defy, persevering through it all and with me in it's first person, I don't remember much of the dream, but I remember the entity leading me into a basement and showing me another, horrific black void that stared right back at me with eyes I couldn't tell existed, after I was forced to touch the void I appeared in a lake of indescribable color, I can't for the life of me describe it, the closest I could get was slow flashing white neon, I still to this day can't comprehend how white can be neon like that, but when I appeared in the lake, I was next to a man, when I tried to look at him, I couldn't, he told me he'd been trapped there for eons, that there was no way out, I couldn't move in the lake, slowly more people appeared in the lake, they told me they'd been there for a long time as well, the people around me comforted me and told me they'd be there for me, the woman in front of me especially, when a warm feeling washed over me, I woke up I know there was much, much more to the dream as it went on for hours in my memory, but that's all I remember, there was another one I had the next night, I'll detail it if anyone asks, if you read this, I appreciate it
Go ahead on the next dream, I'll read it. It always struck e how long and complex (and almost REAL) dreams can be, and also that people almost never talk of theirs dreams and ain't more influenced by them...
The 2nd image he shows at the start of this video was for me one of the most uncomfortable pages to look at, after of course the eclipse. It's just a psychological mindfuck, with these out of place humanoid figures that look like something from a Dr. Seuss book, the little people sitting in the body of the largest creature, the anthropomorphic beings with various different limbs just bouncing around like spawns from hell. I also feel like it's a great display of Miura's imagination and ability to draw, and a page that too many people look over.
That page is actually a reimagining of Heironymus Bosch’s “Garden of Eartly Delights.” Bosch was a huge artistic inspiration for Miura when it came to the apostles
@@gunnarp3914 Wow, you're completely right, I can't believe I've never seen that painting before. Truly a disturbing piece, though I could spend hours just looking at the details.
@@bait5257 oh no I noticed him, it's the little fat dude, right? I just assumed however that Miura drew him in there as a little hidden thing idk. I don't think it has any significance though.
I think the most disturbing moment was the childhood memory of him walking around as a mercenary. I think it was called lost summer dreams or something. Basically, we see him as a teenager wandering around, become a slave and see some rly dark shit.
i think the most disturbing shit in berserk is what miura was HOLDING BACK to make his stuff readable... awesome work by the way. shows how sick we humans are underneath.

Thank you for making this. I can stomach just about anything but sexual violence, so this was good information to have so I could prepare before I got into berserk :)
Wyald raping, killing and dismembering that whole family and the trolls raping woman with monsters that burst out of their woumbs are probably the worst shit that comes to mind
I was sure Mozgus was already an apostle. His face was wrong like the others. That angry face he made all but confirmed it for me. I was truly surprised when he wasn’t.
lost children is such a good arc... if something pains me of berserk is seeing berserk fans saying that the arc doesnt add much to the story or that is too brutal. like seriously. it adds a lot to the story, is basically the conclusion of the first part of the story, the conclusion of the very beginning of the manga, is completely neccesary to understand guts and since guts is the protagonist i would say that is quite important. as for the brutality... i mean, you and me, we are reading berserk you know? if you read berserk you are signing up for that, and if an animation studio wish to adapt it then, it better do it like is supposed to. if you are going to adapt something you have to be faithful to the material, the moment the person in charge says that something is going to be cut is the moment that person should not be in charge

Wyald's foray was the most gruesome scene for me. I was very bad considering that such things were more real than we like to think.
You should make a video named " top ten normal moments" because every single moment in berserk is disturbing.
“This kid got eaten by his zombie parents while alive 😓”
*giggles*
While burning
“Berserk is just too horrifying so I gave up reading it... for like an hour”
1:05 "his family became possessed and ate him alive" proceeds to sound like hes about to laugh lmao
"Kids dont act like adults in real life at all"" nice joke.
2:58 _"I don't recognize the bodies in the water"_
Wyald’s antics is number one for me personally. I absolutely felt so sick after those parts. Kinda toned up Berserk for me and everything else kinda becomes a little easier to swallow. But each of the r*pe parts still scar me that part stuck with me. But yeah. This is just bringing it all back to me and I’m having flashbacks lol! But it’s a great ass manga definitely recommend.
Guts killing Adonis is extra messed up bcuz he saw himself in the boy after witnessing their sword training.
That scene with the "elf" psudo-apostles just adds fuel to the fire of Guts's parting message to Jill, "There's no paradise for you to escape to."
It's powerful stuff, both in Berserk and in real life.
The most disturbing moment in berserk was when mira chosen to take his first break
The corpses coming out if the vortex of hell was uber disturbing
This manga makes Emergence looks a child's play
I think emergence is more disturbing because it's a subject of a real live not a fantasy
Then you should read Kharisma Jati's works. It can also happen irl
Read *Bradherley no Basha* to enjoy a peaceful and healing experience :)
@@mohammedriadh6019 yes, this is absolutely true, with berserk I was shocked, with emergence, I was not only shocked but, I really questioned everything and it made me feel like shit
nah, emergence look more realistic so is it kinda creepy than berserk
Rest in peace, Kentaro Miura.
Not gunna lie. Slann's funtime was kinda hot despite the troll entrials.
Tfw no dark god to treat you like her toy
Heretyk_13 honestly, it b like that dude, those were my exact thoughts when reading thru Qliphoth
redomer, for me I was just agonising in the fact that no one went to help these people, haven’t finished the anime or manga yet.
Yall betta go to church
Just re-read the manga... realized Rosine took part in slaughtering the Band of the Hawk while they were rescuing Griffith...
she's a kid. damn
@@vgbcp3rs0na41 yeah
Ngl I am not to disturbed by berserk, but seeing the f**king smile on Griffith’s face disturbs me the most
Number one is probably the Eclipse, but mainly just for Casca.
Lool oooh maan..
The horse really isn't that bad if you know it's coming
@@miguelpereira9859 it's not that bad at all, nothing bad really happens
No.Thou shalt not avert thine eyes.
Save yourself
Adult attack Adult attack... that shit had me looking at my ceiling for like 10 minutes.
"Disturbing moments in Berserk" the entire manga, you mean?
Underrated
just 10 moments? there's a lot of those. lol
what is your profile pic
I think the trolls was the most disturbing. Crazy how they adapt that arc but not the lost childrens arc.
The most disturbing thing about berserk...
Is how this series somehow turn into a harem manga with cute loli's
LMAO
*Shield Hero has joined the chat*
Yeahh😂
Late to comment, but at least the harem is well earned. Guts deserve some love and care, even if he can’t reciprocate much.
Call me weak but the lost children scene actually made my guts twist and I couldn’t stop thinking about how sick that scene was for a week. I had to stop reading a week
0:02 ubik chilling in a Bosch painting is actually pretty chill
1:07
Dio Brando after vampirising a mother that ate her child: Hahahaha, cool!
I never finished Berserk, I watched Wyald's arc and stopped for obvious reasons, but the night I read it I had a dream I don't think ill forget. ever, I dreamt the life of a man who was locked in this horrific world by an entity he could not defy, persevering through it all and with me in it's first person, I don't remember much of the dream, but I remember the entity leading me into a basement and showing me another, horrific black void that stared right back at me with eyes I couldn't tell existed, after I was forced to touch the void I appeared in a lake of indescribable color, I can't for the life of me describe it, the closest I could get was slow flashing white neon, I still to this day can't comprehend how white can be neon like that, but when I appeared in the lake, I was next to a man, when I tried to look at him, I couldn't, he told me he'd been trapped there for eons, that there was no way out, I couldn't move in the lake, slowly more people appeared in the lake, they told me they'd been there for a long time as well, the people around me comforted me and told me they'd be there for me, the woman in front of me especially, when a warm feeling washed over me, I woke up
I know there was much, much more to the dream as it went on for hours in my memory, but that's all I remember, there was another one I had the next night, I'll detail it if anyone asks, if you read this, I appreciate it
Go ahead on the next dream, I'll read it.
@@deadinfebruary It’s a fascinating painting for sure
I am fascinated by the fact that no one found the God hand member sitting on the dinner table inside that half open creature
@@bait5257 oh no I noticed him, it's the little fat dude, right? I just assumed however that Miura drew him in there as a little hidden thing idk. I don't think it has any significance though.
Watching to much berserk made me immune to gore.
I think the most disturbing moment was the childhood memory of him walking around as a mercenary. I think it was called lost summer dreams or something. Basically, we see him as a teenager wandering around, become a slave and see some rly dark shit.
Everyone else: *"Goblin Slayer is so dark!"*
Berserk: "Am I a joke to you?"
*Made in Abyss, Black Lagoon, Akira, Evangelion, Grimgar, Mirai Nikki, Shield Hero, Akame ga Kill!, and Elfen Lied has joined the chat*
i think the most disturbing shit in berserk is what miura was HOLDING BACK to make his stuff readable...
awesome work by the way. shows how sick we humans are underneath.
“Top ten most disturbing scenes in berserk” number 10. 90% of the series
R.I.P Miura 😔
For me that is the most destirbing moment
Yeah i agreed , the lost children arc is by far the most disturbing 😑😑😑
to me, Femto abusing caska during the eclipse in front of gutts, that ripped my heart, make me sad, almost stop reading after that.
Rest in peace kentaro miura.
The most disturbing moment in Berserk:
Is waiting for the next chapter to come out.
when was the last one that came out tho
@@MIKIrok never
Oh..well

That city Ganishka took over and pretty much everything he did to those poor people. Espthr damn women hanging over an alligator pit by their wrists being chomped on
Crazy how you can show brutal gore and torn flesh but the female nipple has to be covered at all costs 😂
Top 10 Disturbing moments in berserk
Me: Berserk
This is my favorite horror manga of all time. It was the only one to genuinely give me nightmares.
Just caught up with all the chapters.
Really was by mere chance that I ever came across Berserk. Such a great series, would be a complete understatement. Chestnut Puck is my absolute favorite.
Thank you for making this. I can stomach just about anything but sexual violence, so this was good information to have so I could prepare before I got into berserk :)
I hope u skipped troll cave then lol
You can skip the entirety of berserk then.
#1 goes to the CGI anime as a whole
we don't talk about it here, manga 1997 season 1 and movies only
That music is making me question life on top of those pictures giving me PTSD
"The fun time cave"
Thats why lost children arc = best arc
It had nasty bugsss tho
I didnt really enjoy it that much... Idk why.
ehh, why did i rewatch this, nightmares welcome back
Wyald raping, killing and dismembering that whole family and the trolls raping woman with monsters that burst out of their woumbs are probably the worst shit that comes to mind
I've already survived ntr so i think i can handle reading this
