October 5, 2021... I am at this BLM sight outside of Parker, just over the California state line.... I went to WALMART and then out here... this place is great... I'm the only person in sight... but it's early. Thanks Russ... this place is great.
As a Tennessee girl I don't know if I'll ever get to that area in the winter, but I love to watch your videos and dream of one day escaping the bitter cold of our state Dec through February. I love seeing the landscape and I always get out my atlas and follow along. I also love your choice of music. Just an all around sweet little escape for me. Thanks so much for that! :-)
Some do it up ok, but you are the man when it comes to that area. Very knowledgeable, great info for travelers. Like that area, less congested, for being so close to town. Nice drone footage. Scoobs, awe. Thanks for taking us along. 😊👍
Hello, I want to thank you for this video and information. I was at Hi jolly in Quartzsite. I was looking at maps then remembered your video. I'm here now. Thank you
Thank you for all the videos. I’m in the cold weather back east planning our next trip to the Quartzsite/Parker area and your videos are a tremendous help! We’ll be leaving after Christmas and this BLM area has been added to the list! Thank you again and happy holidays!
Thanks Russ for your very informative videos. I love the “driving down the road” shots. Geez I feel like I’m sitting in the co-pilot seat of your rig. Keep them coming. All the best. Loot&Plunder!
Hi, My family and I spent one winter in Big River, we stayed at the Big River RV Camp Ground, which there are 2 of, we stayed in the one that you turn off to the left in the middle of the hill going down to the other one straight down to the river.. The one we stayed at the road goes down to the Colorado River too. We left June 1st and it was hot as haities.
Hi Russ , Good to hear all the info. I will be going to Quartzite for the first time , your Videos have given soo much info... Thank You See u there ( maybe)
Hi Russ thanks for video beautiful. The drone is awesome . Clear and prefect on the big screen. Hope your doing ok. Christmas 20 days away and the year is over where that one go? till next time Byebye
Thank You for sharing! I lived in that area for quite a few years and I would have to agree with the great weather from October through March. Can't say that I enjoyed the summer but the river is cold and very clean.
The drone sure does a nice job of presenting an overview of the area. I like how it opens up farther down the road. How is the internet in the area and do you recall how open it was to the wind when you stayed there? Thanks for another great tour.
I enjoy these video's as my wife and I are getting closer to retirement. I'm noting all these locations on my Arizona Gazzetteer Mapbook. Love the drone footage too. You've probably already done this but do it again: tell us more about your Mavic Pro drone. Show us how to operate one. What all does it entail? Keep it up Russ, thanks again.
Thanks. Great Information. I've seen campers along that road from Parker to Vidal Jct, wasn't sure what the situation would be with a trailer. Drone is kind of unbelievable video quality.
Thank you. On my way in from Pennsylvania and looking for blm land. First time in the west. Heard about a few places.for blm land. This is very helpful.
Thx Russ, I’m thinking of coming out there by end of month I’m thinking 🤔 maybe about tent camping not sure I want to pull my fifth wheel from Indy for just a couple months. Try to go cheap way so I can do it. Do you see any tents or can you talk about any ups or downs of tent camping out there in the desert thank you for your videos I love the air shots.
there are quite afew tenters around....blm is open to all types of camping..stay out of the washes in the rainy days...you can actually go where rvs cant
Truly appreciate you taking the time to show these spots 🌞 Any chance you would let us know about cell/internet service? Really important for those of us who need to work 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
Morning Russ ..... Right after watching your video I watched a new video from Adventure VanMan (Brian). The topic was the Bob Wells Caravan and moving to their new spot near Parker, which looks to be very near where you did this video. They turned off to the left on what was labeled BLM Road 782. You might want to check it out as another BLM spot in the area. They went about a mile in to a very wide open area. Wish there was some great drone footage of the site like you do!
Commander the general rule is that on blm land you can camp free for 14 days then you have to move at least 25 miles. Some places have more specific restrictions like adding a time factor.
No way would I cross over into the People's Republic of California. My pistol that is totally legal in AZ would have me in jail on felony charges in Cali.
Always information we need, thanks Russ.
...I watch a lot of RV channels and I must say you have a wonderful voice. Some people don't have the voice to narrate a video. You do. :)
thank you
We Love Russ little chuckle. Hehehehe
Russ would make a great tour guide.

Permit? Do you need to pay for a permit to stay there like the LTV spots in Quartzsite?
The drone sure does a nice job of presenting an overview of the area. I like how it opens up farther down the road.
How is the internet in the area and do you recall how open it was to the wind when you stayed there?

You keep mentioning "BLM" camping but I don't see any black folks in this video.
No way would I cross over into the People's Republic of California. My pistol that is totally legal in AZ would have me in jail on felony charges in Cali.
