As a Tennessee girl I don't know if I'll ever get to that area in the winter, but I love to watch your videos and dream of one day escaping the bitter cold of our state Dec through February. Hi, My family and I spent one winter in Big River, we stayed at the Big River RV Camp Ground, which there are 2 of, we stayed in the one that you turn off to the left in the middle of the hill going down to the other one straight down to the river.. The one we stayed at the road goes down to the Colorado River too. We left June 1st and it was hot as haities.

Morning Russ ..... Right after watching your video I watched a new video from Adventure VanMan (Brian). The topic was the Bob Wells Caravan and moving to their new spot near Parker, which looks to be very near where you did this video. They turned off to the left on what was labeled BLM Road 782. You might want to check it out as another BLM spot in the area. They went about a mile in to a very wide open area. Wish there was some great drone footage of the site like you do!

Thank You for sharing! I lived in that area for quite a few years and I would have to agree with the great weather from October through March. Can't say that I enjoyed the summer but the river is cold and very clean.

Thanks. Great Information. I've seen campers along that road from Parker to Vidal Jct, wasn't sure what the situation would be with a trailer. Drone is kind of unbelievable video quality.

What do you know about dump stations and fresh water? What happens after the 14-day stay? Move to another BLM or?
I enjoy these video's as my wife and I are getting closer to retirement. I'm noting all these locations on my Arizona Gazzetteer Mapbook. Love the drone footage too. You've probably already done this but do it again: tell us more about your Mavic Pro drone. Show us how to operate one. What all does it entail? Keep it up Russ, thanks again.
The drone sure does a nice job of presenting an overview of the area. I like how it opens up farther down the road.
How is the internet in the area and do you recall how open it was to the wind when you stayed there?

Thx Russ, I’m thinking of coming out there by end of month I’m thinking 🤔 maybe about tent camping not sure I want to pull my fifth wheel from Indy for just a couple months. Try to go cheap way so I can do it. Do you see any tents or can you talk about any ups or downs of tent camping out there in the desert thank you for your videos I love the air shots.
there are quite afew tenters around....blm is open to all types of camping..stay out of the washes in the rainy days...you can actually go where rvs cant

Commander the general rule is that on blm land you can camp free for 14 days then you have to move at least 25 miles. Some places have more specific restrictions like adding a time factor.
how does one go about getting a permit to camp?

No way would I cross over into the People's Republic of California. My pistol that is totally legal in AZ would have me in jail on felony charges in Cali.
You keep mentioning "BLM" camping but I don't see any black folks in this video.
