While in Bouse, stop in at the Ocotillo Lodge and say hello to George. He usually has some great stories to tell, even though he's getting up in years now. His son John, runs the bar now. Also, the cafe is run by an interesting Greek fellow named Nic. Don't miss Fish night every Friday! The Roadrunner is a great place to stock up at before heading into the boonies surrounding Bouse. Friendly folk run that place.

*Last Drone footage* That's a beautiful BLM area to camp. 1 or 2 bars of cell service there?
Your building a very nice playlist on this BLM free camping series. Thanks , Russ!

Russ, for those of us who have never stayed on BLM lands could you go over what you'd look for in a spot to camp and possibly go over the interaction with a camp host? Love your aerial footage of the BLM lands. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the good overview of BLM camping around Bouse. I found a price list for the Bouse County campground that said the dump fee is $10 for non campers.

Another great video, thanks. OK, Tell me how you know where to camp on the flat area's? I don't see any arroyo's like you see in New Mexico. I would be afraid I would park in an area that I would get washed away. At least in NM you kinda can see where the flash floods are going to go.

Spent part of a winter near Bouse. Good Sprint reception, nothing else, where I was. I think the park dump fee was $10 back then. They had monthly rates for campers. Interesting to see the place from the air. Thanks.

Bouse is a haven for the boondockers. You can camp anywhere for 14 days, then you have to relocate a few miles away. They don't enforce the rules much. I've never seen rangers out there myself and I've spent years trekking thru the desert area there. Don't make a mess and they'll leave you alone, for the most part. My parents retired there in Bouse many years ago. I first went there in 1997 to visit them. They're gone now, but I still go out there rockhounding and hiking and 4-wheeling. The trails are endless. Will be out there again this winter.

Dumb question... If you camp 14days and move to another BLM campground, how many miles do you have to move and is that driving or aerial miles? Thanks for giving us views for camping to stay at. Be safe. Have you ever come across tarantulas or scorpions inside your rig?

I would prefer to camp without ATV’s they don’t think about the dust when they fly close to your camp or their noise. I don’t want dust sticking to my paintings. It seems the desert is big enough to share. I want peace and quiet so try to get off by myself.

I love your content Russ, but it seems there's so many UA-camrs doing exacrky as you are, and when these places are visited its like a conference meeting full of UA-camrs. Disattatched people that consume themselves with the camera and don't even say hello. Lol. Thankfully I just bought some land in topcock before yall youtubers can overtake that 😆
