Whow! What a trip! The learning phase is long, so the info has to be studied just like a college course. The flight is amazing; takes me back to my cockpit years as a Naval Aviator. The goggles cause me to lose my balance, so I must sit; but that's standard for an 88 year old guy. Kudows to DJI for producing such an amazing drone.

Just received my Remote Controller 2 , looked all over to download the manual or tutorials on the functions and buttons on the controller but never could find what I needed to know. Then thought id look thru Air Photography’s videos and sure enough , I found exactly the video I was looking for . I should have looked here in the first place. Thank you so much for taking the time to educate us.

If theirs one thing I don't like, you need to update the firmware just to fly. I've done everything but update and still not able to fly it. That's something I love about the Typhoon H series, you don't need to update anything, just pair your transmitter and fly

I just went out today and flew mine.... very much a beginner and a little intimidated by using the goggles. But, it was fun....I did some circles and some messy figure 8's... hope the weather keeps getting better. And oh, this thing zings through the air man... like woosh. It was cool!!

Is there any required calibration before starting to fly? coz i have my old flying drone but need calibration first before gets start to fly like turn clockwise 3x then upside down 3x something like that. 2. How will the FPV drone knows the origin place when you press the H? Thank you for your answer.

13:45 says we can get dji fly from Google Play? At this time (5/27/2021) I think we Android users still have to download the apk and directly install the app.

I noticed you are tuning using the left stick only in Normal mode. What is the right stick left and right used for in Normal mode?

Very upset at first finding there's no google map, but I guess the "H" on the display will give you the vector. Still I miss the exact location on a map. How Find Your Drone works? Good job, btw.
I thought with the manual mode you have to change the gimbal to like the fpv throttle down in the back of the radio?

Got the dji fpv fly more kit. Did all firmware updates. I can't get my goggles to recognize everything or go into the setup mode where it registers with dji??? Everything else seems to be perfect. So confused. It takes a PhD to get this going. LOL

i followed your exact steps....new FPV out of the box. I havent even powered up the drone itself yet. When I am going through the menu to use the app I get to the " power up and connect your controller " part. My controller just keeps flashing the 4 green lights. How do I get this controller paired up???
I bought a second hand dji fpv and during lift of it just flipped to the side instead of going up. My propellers were installed correctly. any thoughts? Thank you!
You didn't have a spotter? Or you don't need one on private land? Also can you program button on remote to turn spot light on
Yes you always have to have a spotter. As soon as in the air weather on private land or not you still have to follow your countries regulations.

Great video! I had a DJI Mavic Pro and DJI goggles along with extra batteries and other equipment I donated to the brave men and women of Ukrainian Air Reconnaissance Unit. They sent me video of them thanking me for it and also of being used in action. I used to fly it with goggles on in "airplane mode" and loved it so I just got a new DJI FPV drone. Just one problem I have with the fpv is that the language is already set in Chinese, how do I change that?
How do you start and stop? I started it and pressed everything and the motors would not stop..after 10 mins they stopped on their own?
do you have your sticks set up backwards? I just got a DJI and am watching tutorials and thought the left stick was for up down, and look left or right, but you were flying it completely with the left stick at first. thanks
Does it come with any SD cards or not?
The DJI fpv drone has a glitch in the controllers they don't check them at the factory and you will lose your drone if you don't have the software re-downloaded into your controller
Thank you for posting this video. I couldn’t get the controller to work with the simulator out of the box. Downloading the dji fly app turning on first the goggles with phone then controller and last I had to power on the drone and the app auto asked to update the firmware that made it finally work with the dji fpv simulator
I cannot find a DJI fly app.They Have DJI Go, DJI Pilot, which one? Android.

I just bought one but when I go to connect the controller to the drone, the drone starts blinking red fast, which is supposed to mean the battery's are low but I can see the the battery leds are all lit up and it won't let me take off

I am very disappointed with one detail; it seems that the batteries cannot be charged via a portable battery. I have a DJI Mini 2 and I charge the batteries with a portable battery, and as I often record while traveling, I don't have access to electricity ...

I got mine for about 2 weeks, each time I fly I have a signal lost after 1/2 mile distance, anybody else has the same problems ?

Been loving this drone. Thinking about taking the leap onto the full/real remote controller instead of just the motion controller. :)
One thing I can't seem to find online or in the PDF user guides is any description or definition of what each of the icons mean in the goggles OSD. Does anybody know where I could find that? Some of the icons are obvious but some aren't. For example, I have one little red icon on the bottom but I don't know what it means. It would be nice if DJI provided a legend somewhere for all the icons. It must exist somewhere right?
I can’t even power up the drone? How do you do that? I followed the beginner’s tutorial and nothing happens. 😢
You have to do a quick press, and then a long press, and then it should power up

But I would maybe put a warning on the "manual mode" setting. Since this video has a "Beginners guide" in the title, the audience more likely would be beginners.
Setting the drone in full manual mode and enabling it will more likely end in a very expensive crash and a very dissatisfied beginner.
I really dislike that forced registration, activation and updating process.
This turned me to a dji drone purchase of off the used market shelf.
And that "drone starting whirr" is a bit annoying. Strangely you cant turn it off. Maybe I will try to unplug the drone speaker at some point and see if that works.

Thi is by far the best tutorial video ever, I havnt even finished, you say all the batteries need updating for firmware, this is vital info that none of the other vids I have seen have ever told me. Excellent job on this vid man!!!!!

Oh this is nice...I hurt myself pretty badly coz I didn't know how to land when I first took off...I had to catch the drone by hand and it was such a struggle...the drone became so aggressive and almost decapitated me...after almost 5mins of a heated fight with the drone, I managed to pull out the battery. Wish I had seen this video first.

Thank you very much. My set up is extremely minimal and simple. I film all my videos with an iPhone, with a microphone plugged into it into simple little LED lights above me. I actually made a video of my filming set up earlier this year you can search back through my videos. It might be helpful for you.
How do i change the Chinese lettering in the goggles menu
There should be a way to set it to English in the menu. Perhaps try to restore
NOTE: Never double-click the Start/Stop button in "Manual Mode". The drone will shut off the motors and drop like a brick. Don't ask how I know lol 🙄

They will automatically do that on their own as they are a smart battery
