Diving is easy, aim at the ground and miss.
This is the best simple explanation ever!
Ahaha perfect description!
This has been my approach so far....
I dont think you have to miss
@@buzz8956 😂
maaan, that emotions.... welcome in the world of fpv! ;) reminds me to me first power loops. shaking thumbs and sweating hands. love to see other people getting the same positive emotions!
I love this series! Please do more with the dji fpv! Makes me step up my flow and abilities. You were the reason I picked up dji fpv. Thank you for your videos.
Rock on Michael, so glad you're enjoying it!
One of the best drone videos I have ever seen related to flying it.
Yey! Another drone move to try on my DJI FPV! Thanks!
Do it over soft thick grass bud. Make sure your battery is pretty full and has lots of power to catch the weight after your dives. Have fun. Think about trying a regular fpv setup someday. Happy flying
@@flyineyeaerialfpv5592 I'd keep that in mind! Thanks!
Working up the courage to try manual
Simulator is extremely valuable. Best tool to experiment on the trick and muscle memory which really helps
Love this series it's inspired me to be brave and try more with my fpv 👍
That's awesome man :D so glad to hear it.
FPV drones and Paramotors. Perfect......
The info @10:00 about yaw and roll is what I've been searching for a long time. I knew my split s was missing something and I never used yaw.
As a drone noob who just literally bought Liftoff and an FPV controller one week ago, I just wanna say I'm super grateful for channels like this. Loving this community and the ocean of wealth and knowledge out there
Get a whoop
Fret!!!! Did we just become best friends? I am down the same path as you.. Currently have 50 hours in lift off.
I was about to post nearly the same comment when I realised you have already done it! I did 30 hours on Lift Off and I do manual mode now on my dji fpv.
If you invest into 3d printer and make your own drones for racing and freestyle flying it's cheaper in long run and the electronics are cheap as well to build a high speed freestyle racing fpv style drones it spend 45-50 bucks total per drone and the fastest one I have right now goes 105 mph and it's a blast to fly and I have 5-6 drones on hand when I go to fly and practice freestyle flying and at the fpv drone track to practice so if j crash I just throw another one in the air then spend the week re printing and building what I crashed that following weekend. I spent 300 bucks total to be able to have 6 drones ready to fly and that's including the transmitter and batteries
The tip not to use yaw and just focus on roll helped me the most, huge difference
8:06 I have heard that before, great vid
thanks drib! you really explain things easily! im a beginner fpv pilot and now i can easily understand how you explain how to do things
- You had it but you got scared and pulled out early
- That’s what she said
Lol
I'm a Dad, I haz the dad jokes.
I love using the “that’s what she said” anytime I can.
8:45 I think it’s because the camera isn’t pointing the the direction you’re moving. It’s scary!
When I started diving I was doing it in angle mode with my whoops fast fwd to my fpv quad it was easy trasnsioning
These videos help alot, lots of practice
I literally ordered my first drone last night so better get learning now 🤣
go fly in a simulator, should save you alot of money
@@bjornsonfpv2291 I have I've used liftoff but this just helps give me tips
Should build your own instead of buying a prebuilt. You'll learn an enormous amount by doing your own builds, plus you'll know how to repair them.
@@2high2flyfpv88 You have a fair point and I was considering building one but I dont want to order like 20 parts all separately
8:06 "That's what she said" 🤣🤣🤣💀
I have a cliff that I really want to dive into the valley and across and up the other side up that cliff and then dive back into the valley and back across and up. Thanks again for the videos. I just wanted to ask about, How many money have you spend on the FPV DRONE for repair after the episodes. Or how many times did it break.
Loved this series
So glad to hear it Mario!
@@aviator I've been flying FPV for around 4 years. I'm not a pro, but I can get by. I bought the DJI FPV, and even with DJI Refresh, i'm scared to to fly in Manual mode lol. Huge difference in crashing a self built 5" for 200 bucks, vs the DJI FPV which set me back about $1500. Loved seeing how you were able to adapt and use this drone as a great starter. Might even start flying it in Manual mode more now. Again, great series. Loved it.
the second thing i ask noobs to learn is the emergency stop, it builds confidence in that the quad will get out of shape and you will learn to fix it, then stay calm and fix it hehe, but the main thing you learn is the thrust vector as a control like roll or pitch. the overall goal is to fly the camera and not even think about sticks. diving is really a nerve thing, but be 100% assured, even a very average freestyle quad is so over powered that it can pull out of a 100mph dive 10feet from the ground without using full power.
Really well done bra!
Totally enjoyed it
Great video - just did my first manual flight the other day - will give this lesson a go
That's actually how I'm teaching myself how to dive in the sim lol. The hard part is timing so I'm close to the thing I'm diving next to.
Is it hard for you to switch from getting use to your fpv drone to a normal drone
Thats the tower on the golfcourse map in Liftoff
Super awesomeness! Great trainer video
Im having issues with finding a damn high speed thats compatible, every "high speed" i get just says "slow sd" on my interface :/
I think his issue is that when your in a wing, Looking down at the gound is bad, very very bad if your flying it.
Loved it can’t wait to try dive with mine when is next rampage
what app is used here with the iphone to stream the video?
I almost didn't buy an fpv DJI drone because I heard that they would lose signal I just took my controller into a computer store who does drones and they said that the software on my controller was corrupted I've only flown it four times in the drone flew away on its own the redownloading that part of the controller
So sweet,so tempted to buy one of those plastic POS . Time to upgrade my fPV quads. Need some better VTX s
Awesome! Thanks for the video again!
How can you guys watch this on a 5 inch phone screen? My eyesight isn't the best in the world. Can you watch it on an Ipad?? Thanks for the video... pretty new to drones here..
Nice Drew, love seeing people using the video out hack!!
Can I video out to an iPhone from an air unit ? Or vista
@@Rc_impulse not that I'm aware of atm. It has something to do with allowing access to the USB port inside the app which apple didn't allow. So not on iOS as far as I know
That’s cool guys, thanks I’m getting one
Does anyone know how he gets video out to his IPhone is there a app that can be used cause I’ve been looking but I can’t seem to find one
This was fun!
Very Interesting
Is that the footage from the drone sd card?
Whats the app that You use for a live footage on phone please?
ive asked about a month ago and got no answer, would love to know too
Notting sick from that xD
Wow shameless plug right at the start are all rr vids adds?
Is he wearing a Longines Conquest?
✍️delay ✍️the ✍️pullout ✅ got it
Can you make a video just flying the drone in manual????? I’d like to see what it’s capable of with someone operating it full potential !
Hooked on phonics hooked on phonics for derelix
I love this video. see you
It’s not right that Dji doesn’t let the air unit or vista output to an iPhone just as easy as it lets the fpv drone output video for an audience or friend to kinda feel the dives and fly along.
Yeah, I really wish they would
Whats that thing on top of your drone ?
Can you guys make a drone with brushless rc car motors it would be similar in form factor to the Drexel drone
Take abandoned off the drone. Why not land in normal mode?
6:42 Don't take one step to the side, instead, tear down the pesky moss that is getting in the way of you enjoying the beauty of nature!
Wow nice trick! This DJI flyes like a brick xD
Is this for real? We are really going to free style a DJI drone? Good till your first crash...
How are you using that iPhone to see the screen?
Never delay a pull out
Suggest me a original fpv drone battery flight time up to 10 minutes
Can rotor riot build a freestyle wifi long-range drone
It would be great if you show us the controller view.
Congratulations for the video !🔝👍🏻what kind of rates settings did you use for your dji fpv?
That's in one of the other videos 600 degrees per second is the current setting.
Roll? You mean yaw?
you do it in sport mode or menual?
what rates are you using ? Thanks !
these guys have so many of these drones from dji that they can just let him crash the drones and not be sad about it lmfao
Ouuuu 💪✌️🤬
Yeah, the biggest hump to overcome is the natural tendencies from flying planes. Drones are so different.
Do it in a sim first, no anxiety.
MAAAAAATES!
*ALL DIVES MATTER*
you know... ;)
The way these rotor riot guys keep saying axises and not axes is killin me
I am so disappointed there were no crashes this time 😅
😂😂😂
I'll try to step it up ;)
Any one a drone expert of anything can i get help with my drone i cant get my transmitter to show up on beta flight even though i have a green light connection, i also have a video showing what happens please check it out and help me id appreciate it
Easier with better power to weight ratio and a lipo with a high c rating! 🤷🏻♂️😂
I'm looking forward to trying one :D
wtf are those videos for ? :P
2nd
@3:36 that's why I am alive today.
I know your want to sell the DJI FPV drone. But give this guy a real quad already....
I don't think that's a great spot at all😂😂😂 all those trees and some wires. Had me scared. Cool for a pro like drib but not for a rookie like me
Am i the only one who ask himself How can he spectate from his Smartphone?
There's an app!
@@aviator which app? I need it!
From personal experience: don't try doing this with a pylon.
baaahahahaaaa
Maybe practice with a simulator first
I wish they would stop making videos about dji's fake fpv drone we want carbon and acro
Hopefully this will the last of the shite dji fpv drone, this is not what rotor riot is, well maybe now, but the core audience t
Dont like this drone shite
The second method you teach is how I think dives should be taught. Roll upside down, pitch back until you are looking straight down the dive, blip throttle to arrest movement, fall.
Yeah, that’s what made it make sense to me. Basically do a tight split S up against the tower.
First
Oh hai there.
Awesome 👍🤩🥂🙌
@@aviator 👋
4:00 as i understand prop wash from physics, you're not really falling into the "dirty air" (or your own turbulence, since you're falling into "new" air).
It's rather that, the air flow UP through your propellers is actaully imparting torque on the propellers the OPPOSITE spin of your thrust, so the air is effectively braking your propellers from moving, and thus also NOT providing any lift even if you thrust at max.
Becuase you thrusting at 50% while falling straight down, you might only cancel out the "negative" thrust, meaning you're at idle effective lift, when you expect to be at 50%.
So it's more to think about it like, the air flowing UP through your propellers imparting a "debuff" on your lift at any given thrust.
Because the only way the propellers create lift, is by sucking and pushing air DOWN. So naturally, air flowing UP negates any lift.
THEN if you impart too much thrust, it causes the turbulence, which has the same effect of "debuffing" your lift.
It can be an evil spiral. Because you need more thrust to get the same lift, but the increased thrust creates turbulence that reduces lift.
Best way to avoid?
Try not to have the drone travel "downwards" (regardless of your horizon pitch or angle, drone-relative).
Face the fall.
Super! Nice video 😊 liked & subscribed, thanks for sharing 👍
How do you stream the DJI Goggles footage to your iPhone?
dam bro you have asked 9 months ago and still no answer, wish they could tell us
Man, just as I started learning to fly normal drones and getting interested in FPV, I realize that you have to start from scratch 😄. The controls are totally different.
I'm with you there, its completely different
Anxiety is real real with flying these freaking drones😂😂😂😂😳🤦🏿♂️😂
Great video agen thanks for helping the hobby hey i have new videos if any one would like to see some of them
Thank you for mentioning this is with a 15 degree cam.
Good teacher. Good student.
15 degree seems to be my sweet spot
@@OmarGarcia1 Same. As I go beyond 15 degrees it is hard for me to orient and often the speed is more than I want. :)
12:03 I actually did a dive like that
Do not recommend it 😂
I'm also still learning, nice to see these videos!
Glad you're enjoying them!
how’s he using his iphone with the dji goggles
The burden of intelligence, over thinking it. Send it!!!! 😂🤣😂🤪 good job guys
Haha I wouldn't call what I have "intelligence" ;) but I definitely overthink!
