This is the recurring household chore I hate most. The worst problem I have is reconnecting the new filter. Most of the time, the glass globe leaks, so I have to loosen it and reposition the rubber gasket, since it’s critical that everything is lined up correctly. I've been doing this every six months for 12 years, and it seldom works the first time.
