Hey no worries at all man! Severins main site has it on offer every few weeks, when it does go on sale, I'd say it was more than worth it. Cheap and cheerful, but totally goofy to boot. Probably one of the softest 'video nasties' on the list.
Well, so I've never heard of this which is surprising because I keep a list of films for every holiday. Somehow, I never thought of adding Mardi Gras films but I can assure, I have fixed that oversight. Even though I'm a few days late, I went ahead and watched this today which made for a great lazy Sat afternoon flick. It seems I agree with just about everything you point out here, it's surprisingly watchable and fun bad film and also fully qualifies for the 'so bad it's good' films lists. The acting had me rolling at times, love the cop's awkward point in a couple of scenes and how several are clearly challenged to just get the lines out. The higher than average full frontal nudity and attempts to make it gory were commendable for a film of this ilk and would make a good pairing with BLOODSUCKING FREAKS. Had a good time with it but immediately when it ended, my wife said, 'No more like that today please" Her loss, LOL! Hearing you compare this BLOOD FEAST made me more interested, not because I love that film much (never got into it) but I love ripoff movies or films that don't hide their influences. I do love the 'inspired by' sequel BLOOD DINER though more than I probably should. This definitely fits in the same imaginary box set though for sure.

Hope your keeping well! :) Strangely when I showed this one to my partner, I had a similar response xD Some folk just dont appreciate 'art' xD And I totally agree, this films absolutely a late afternoon/early evening with a couple of beers flick :) cheap and cheerful, but I came away happy enough!
