Oh my God. It's always cringe worthy to listen to him but more so when you're reading transcripts of his interviews. This is so awful. I cannot believe this guy is our President. It's so humiliating.

And this could even work for this campain runs: either he uses a screaming chamber made of glass and people only hear his translation, or you create a big glass tank, so that his most loyal folks can still hear him unfiltered and the rest only hears the translated decent language.

This has got to be one of the funniest and most worrying posts ever - well done David!. Every person in the US should have to watch it. Yep, that's why I've been reading transcripts of his speeches for awhile now. You get a more "clearer" view of this man and his thought process. It's like he has some sort of magic when you see or hear him speak. You tend to believe him. That's quite a trick he processes!!
This is a big reason why he's been compared to Adolf Hitler. They're both physically unprepossessing, their previous employment has not prepared them for the position they hold, yet when they speak before a large crowd, even if they're talking nonsense, the crowd, at a minimum, goes along with them, and sometimes goes absolutely wild!
Additionally, Hitler would make terrible statements about non-German groups and deny he'd made them. Then he'd go before a rally where people would chant to him what he had previously said, and he'd stand and listen to them. Asked later, if he hadn't said these things in the first place, why he didn't try to stop the crowd from chanting his words back to him, he would reply, I didn't say it, they did, and insisted the crowd was made up of very good people. At 72, Trump is certainly old enough to remember the impact Hitler had made on the world. Additionally, he has made a point of befriending authoritarian leaders around the world. I'll allow readers to draw their own conclusions.

That WSJ reporter called up Trump and told him that was the greatest interview he's ever done. Well, he didn't actually call... on the phone... technically speaking... but the crowd was the largest ever.
This could be used as an educational video. When your parents start talking like this, get help...take away their car keys and supervise their meds.
I'm wondering if Trump is hypomanic. He has several of the classic signs - pressured speech, flight of ideas, grandiose and unrealistic ideas, hardly sleeps, thinks he's more insightful and that others don't "get it" when he explains his perfect projects. There are other symptoms as well such as inability to complete a coherent thought. He really needs a psychological evaluation.

DrMossydog - He is not on the Autism Disorder Spectrum (which comprises what was called Asperger's in DSM-IV). Since people on the other end of ADS often have lower IQ they sometimes get wrongly equated with dumb people. Trump has a very low IQ, but that is completely disjunct from ADS.
DrMossydog a common misconception but there’s no intelligence bias with ASD, high functioning or otherwise. You get some notable high IQ types but there are at least as many with learning disabilities.

The AP transcript was also very revealing, with many words redacted out as "unintelligible" but you look a bit silly when you read the transcript at 4:00 as "no one" or "no two" instead of "Number One" and "Number Two." "No." is the standard abbreviation for "Number" followed by a number, from the Latin "Numero."
Trump is unintelligible because he does not think about politics and does not read the daily briefings or files about any political matter, so he doesn't know what are the positions of American politics on these matters and reinvents his answers from scratch any time you ask him a question instead of replying with the official ready-made statement about these matters. Plus, since he does not have a good memory, every time you ask you may and often get different answers about the same subject.
Look how scary and dangerous for the whole world was his answer about the North Korea missile: "We'll handle North Korea. We will be able to handle it. It will be, err, it will be handled." Hopefully "his generals" will be able to stop him before he pushes the nukes red button, but still, such a rambling mad man should not have access to such power.

Thank god the general electorate here (in Ireland and UK) can't decide directly who the prime minister is going to be. The governing party and parliament make that decision. To a large extent Trump is now an irrelevance since the senate and congress are increasingly ignoring him.
If you just read the transcripts of trump's answers you would have no idea what the question was.
