I think you need to stabilize that backfilled area with riprap to protect the area from erosion during the rainy season, I think river boulders (human head size)are available in that area judging from what I saw at the ongoing construction, that is the best and the cheapest materials for the slope stabilization. (just suggesting)😁

You need to put a fish net screen in your nipa 🏡 house to prevent flyovers during windstorms and 🌧️ rainstorms season and keep stable.

Smart to get the land prepped around the house before lots of heavy rainfall. The progress looks pretty good. Concrete work always seems to be slow but that is the way to do it right.

Built up your erosion control. Also make a drainage route.
That riprap rock i think will not be sufficient unless you built up a good solid base reinforcement, the soil is silt type if it rain it will be so soft.

You want to know how we ilokanos prepare and eat lomboy or java plum? First ee choose the ripe one, wash it and put in a container with cover… dont overfill it, just enough quantity for shaking, add little salt, cover and shake till it become soft, dont overshake coz the seeds will separate from skin… just enough to be soft to eat… try and enjoy… youll gonna like it… you are lucky to have that tree in your area… eat while it is in season…
Thanks for the update. I recall a similar situation using a backhoe instead of laborers. The contractor we’d,hired and a backhoe for coconut tree removal, landscaping and the like. On certain down days, the operator remained in site, and we hired him to dig ponds and such. The rip rap you are constructing is very similar to what I’ve done. Looks well done. Adequate cement with correct placement of stone. You may want to consider drainage in strategic locations to,assure water pressure from the soil doesn’t damage the rip rap from above. Even use of a French drain would help. I’m very curious about the road construction you’re referring to. Sounds like the end result will be a larger open area for other uses.

Good for you, your backhoe operator is the best. Most backhoe operators lengthen the work for more pay. Their bucket is half empty all the time. The longer it takes to finish the job, the bigger pay.

You guys did the great job you sort out everything to maximize the time, in almost 2months you've been doing great you have nipa house to chillax,the foundation wall are done, your right of way are in shape, the retaining wall are sorting for the soil erosion control, digging the septic tank and water reserve, and then you planted some trees, fruit trees and flowers in the areas you desire to inhance looking them while you're building and they are growing too it's priceless and rewarding time is gold. Make the best of it while you have it.. More planting while you're building...you have a great team!

Fantastic progress. Its really moving along very nice now and you can get a good sense of the house orientation too. The hut is super cool and I think Jake was loving the chillin action there in the hammock. I am curious about the septic. Is that something that is captured and then pumped out by truck at some point or perhaps some other way? The rainwater capture is smart.

Hi again...does the retaining wall have any iron bars crossed tied with each other? Those 2 feet retaining wall at the bottom, does those just have stones and cement? there should be some metal bars stucked on the ground and few crossed all the way at the end.
