You shouldn't use insulated heat duct for a range fan duct. Eventually grease will accumulate in the duct and because it is not solid metal it could catch fire and burn the house down. You need to be your own building inspector. Use solid metal ducting with the connections taped together with duct tape.

I hope you have a dirty kitchen not far away from your house so that you can cook what ever you want if you use a electric stove inside the house you can use a gas stove in your dirty kitchen so that even not good weather you still separate source of energy for cooking. Not so far from your house because if there is a bad weather especially typhoon it hassles to travel your food to your house may the wind blown away your food travel to your house..it so hard to transfer especially with the strong wind and rain...always make a convenient to you guys..your dirty kitchen now i think its too far from your house ...just suggestions
I think you should consider lowering the height of your range hood to at least 36" from the cooktop. Otherwise, the range hood will be useless for suctioning smoke. 😞
