What a difference between Kyiv and Bucha or Mariupol. They are like two different worlds inside the same nation. I'm glad people in Kyiv are enjoying some sense of normality. I'm looking forward to the day when the whole of Ukraine can do the same. Thanks Olga.

Kyiv looks like a beautiful European City. I know that it will take some time to fully recover but once this war is over it will come back stronger than ever. Olga, please stay safe and this goes for the rest of the Ukraine as well.

Kiev is really beautiful. There's a lot to see, Museums, the outdoor village just outside of Kiiv (Peragoia), the religious sites, etc. I can't say what's open right now.
Visiting Kyiv is now on my bucket list.
...I went there 8 times before the war....wonderful city.....go!

Kyiv looks as lovely as ever. Your walk up Baseina St past Puzata Hata looked like it could have been anytime pre February 24.

I've been in Ukraine for almost a month now. Kyiv still takes my breath away!
I am happy that there is some normalcy
I am a little disappointed that my country is not supplying Ukraine with the long range missiles needed to stop Russia from indiscriminately fire long range missiles at civilian targets in Ukraine. Supplying Ukraine with just enough to survive isn’t good enough. We need to supply Ukraine with enough weapons to deter Russian aggression completely.
Always amazed at the beauty of Ukraine, the people, the architecture, the land...Such resilience!
Looks good! But what I’m noticing is how much space is available and how spread out the city is. It’s not jammed together but you have wide walkways and avenues. That’s a good, modern look! Plenty of space is always a good thing. So things can grow and expand.

It was not like that btw. But in second world war they smashed the downtown and USSR rebuilt the central street to the way to have military parades. All other streets around central are very tiny

Another great video. No beggars, clean streets, lovely buildings, beautiful public spaces, well maintained street furniture; I want to visit. It is good to know Kyiv is on Eurovelo 4. I will try to persuade my wife to cycle there with me.

I think 🤔 that all Ukraine 🇺🇦 people bear the weight of war. The people want it to be normal but Putin will not allow this to be so. My thoughts 💭 and prayers are with Ukraine people. God Bless.

As an American that came here to find the truth, I have fallen in love with Ukraine and its people. I have been in Lviv, Lutsk, and now Kyiv. There are KFCs that are open, by the way - the one at Peremohy Ave, 26 Kyiv in the Smart Plaza for example. What would you recommend for American visitors to see while in Kyiv?

@@diemervdberg7661 Thank you, I have actually been there more than a few times on this trip. It is one of the easier places to order food when one is not fluent in the language and right now with the exchange rate 4 to 6 different items can be had for around $9. Great recommendation.

Thank you Olga for providing us the opportunity to see downtown Kyiv which is a very beautiful city. Maybe because of the war the city does not have the hussle and bussel you find in large cities in America? American's are more into internet shopping which has resulted in the closing of many shopping malls.

I've been in Kyiv twice and is so gorgeous. Is crazy and fascinating at the same time that the city is not destroyed. I can't wait to go back peace soon I hope. Im.might be dreaming but we need dreams to go ahead
I remember when I was in Kyiv in 2019 and had some cherry cider near Maidan Square with some friends from Vinnytsia. It feels so unreal after I watch all the footage of the war. Still my favorite country with the most friendly and amazing people I met so far during my trips!

Even though you are smiling on the thumbnail I can see the sadness in your eyes and the strain in your face, hope God will give you comfort. Me and my wife are hanging in there as well. OMG I really miss Ukraine, I was there at least 3 times last year and my last time was in Odessa just 2 days before invasion. Do you think it kinda safe to go to Lviv or Kyiv so we can enjoy our beloved Ukraine and support your economy a bit along? We have sent some money for the weapons already.
