    Excellent review, I have a Holosun optic for the same setup, but I was able to use the 17 round magazines by purchasing a Variant Innovations sleeve that matches the Wilson Combat plastic and pattern almost perfectly.
    So unlike what would have been the case if I purchased a Macro length for the Wilson Combat grip module, by using the XL length, I now I have the option to keep the gun as small as possible for carry with 12 rounds flush, OR I can have something the capacity of the Macro that looks good and almost seamless for 17+1.
    This way I am also able to keep my small (original X length) SAS slide, without having to purchase a compensator, as I would have to do if I used the Wilson Combat Macro grip module. (Because that has too-long a dust cover for an X length slide), and still get to use a 17 round magazine that is aesthetically perfect.
    In addition to the Holocene optic, I also added the Sig laser. A laser is good for very short distances when you may not have the physical space to properly acquire the sight, when you need to aim without being directly behind the gun (as around an obstacle) or if you are injured and cannot properly extend one or both hands, you know that where you paint the dot, you will get a shot.
    As a happy aside, I discovered that the laser and the optic can marry easily, and if I ever have any difficulty whatsoever locating the red dot, all I have to do is paint any surface with the laser, look through the glass, and there is the red dot. Poof! Like magic, and I can let go of the laser button.
    So this makes it, as a happy coincidence, a truly fantastic training option so that you can learn to always acquire the red dot.
    The other advantage of having the laser is that I have an automatic sighting backup, and I can therefore use the SAS slide, which does not have a front sight with an iridium vial to provide a confusing luminescent dot to visually compete for geography in my very tiny optics window that I cannot turn off like I can a laser.
    And I keep the anti-snag benefits that SIG has designed for this awesome gun.
    I was tempted by the Sharps Bros, or Icarus, grip modules because of the added weight, but I really like the ergonomics, and the grippiness, and the look of the Wilson Combat grip module, and like you I also opted to insert the additional tungsten weights. I would add more on that front if I could, and I'm searching for options to add a brass base pad to my magazines.
    My entire setup with the 17 round magazine, optic, laser, and 17 bullets in a magazine (but none in the chamber) is 29.82 Oz. I happen to think my sweet spot is 35 Oz.
    -Cheers

    Good comparison of these 2 grips! Since I have Man Sized Hands, I find the WC grip much better feeling.

      Thanks! I have smaller hands and still prefer the Wilson Combat grip.

    Do you know if a ten round mag will fit and operate in the WC grip?

    • @orangetactical
      @orangetactical  5 місяців тому +1

      It will work in the standard Wilson Combat p365 grip but not in the XL grip.

    How does the 17 Round Mag fit in the Wilson Grip

    • @orangetactical

      It fits good. Pretty much the same as it does in the Sig grip.

    will p365x mags work with it?

    • @orangetactical
      @orangetactical  4 місяці тому

      Yes the same mags are all the same. The only thing you would need to be aware of is if you change your grip module to a larger one then the mags won’t fit. So if you have a standard P365 with 10rd mags and go to the XL or XMacro grip then you need the larger mags.

    I see a lot of people on the Facebook groups having issues with the Wilson Combat grip modules. Stick with the OEM grip module.

      I just ordered one of Wilson combat’s grip modules for my p365x. What kind of issues are you seeing?

      I haven’t seen or heard of any issues. I would also love to hear the issues you are hearing about.

      I’ve had the WC grip module (365xl) for a couple of years now. The WC grip module made mine way better with no problems at all. Probably have 2400 rounds through it, and I carry it often. Just giving my experience.

    Wilson is way too thick. I’ll just carry my320 XC at that point, which shoots a million times better than the 365. Y’all keep making the 365 bigger, killing the original intent of the gun…CONCEALMENT. 🙄🤦‍♂

      Even with the small amount the Wilson combat grip is larger than the standard sig grip the P365 is much smaller and lighter than my P320. I am also willing to sacrifice that extra width for the concealment difference that is unnoticeable to most for the more comfortable grip.

  • @martinezpaj

    Hey, can you measure the difference in width between Sig Xmacro grip, and WC XL grip?

    • @orangetactical
      @orangetactical  3 місяці тому +1

      The Wilson Combat XL grip is 1.18” at the widest point other than the mag flair which is 1.2” and the Sig P365 X-Macro grip is 1.15” at the widest point.
