What would be amazing is if you also added a makeshift sling made from bandages just to add to the theme of a medkit. Just a suggestion. This was amazing all on its own though, and the patch works brilliantly!
This is the third toy gun I’ve seen that folds up like this into an object shaped like a carrying case of some sort. The first is the _Kamen Rider 555_ DX SB-555T Faiz Blaster. The second is the _Kamen Rider Zero-One_ DX Attaché Shotgun. Both have internal electronics, and neither fire actual physical ammunition. Both are produced by Bandai based on the full-sized prop versions created by Toei Company.
This absolutely would be awesome on a recon loadout as an emergency backup. A 4 shot "primary" (i only call it such because it has a stock) that can look like a supply pouch on most gear at a distance. The velcro with a patch really sells the look as well, even without the medic pouch on it.
Great build, love the work, but I was mildly distracted by the ad before the video. Steven Tyler drove a KIA backwards, both on a track and THROUGH TIME until he finished one lap and got mauled by women. It was an experience. lol

I want to paint it up in green with silver trim to look like a Thermos-brand lunch box, then get two of those grenades from Lightake and put them in a loose sleeve disguised as the actual thermos to match the lunch box. (Seeing your video on the grenades decided me, lol!)

Also hoping when the Evader (Modulus Clear Stryfe Thing) comes out you could paint it up in your colours since the shell looks really cool but the clear plastic just makes it look really boring. Just an idea, have you seen the guy that did a magnetic holster for a stryfe? What if you put some magnets in the shell, and copied it to you're carrier with opposite poled magnets, and that way you didn't have to worry about the velcro? Also, depending on how you do it, it could easily be done with other blasters/gear (the claymore maybe?) and just switch it out for whatever role you are filling?
When wearing heavy equipment, or a large amount of gear, adding a sling to it can really get in the way of an already cumbersome rig. Using Velcro, or magnets, gives you an option that is secure, while not getting in the way, or flailing about when not holding something. Please, you know, magnets are cool.

Do you think it would be possible to make a modular shield with removable panels, so it can be sized up or down depending on what is needed, and you could have different panels, like a window one or say one with a barrel attachment point to hook a blaster directly into the shield.
if there were a nerf league with gunner classes this would be the best way to do a medic's ability. they get 1 shot that refills only on knock out with special red darts in a box that would only dispense 1 at a time Ala straw dispenser style. to use the med kit they'd have to untold it, load it, call out "healing target" then shoot their out ally who is on their way back to re spawn point
Imagine having this and then going to a nerf war with a friend and have the friend lay on the floor and act injured so that you can wave to enemy to come near you and help your friend by holding his limb and then you can bring out your "medkit" and shoot the enemy.

I can see where that blaster along with the white elite darts could be a Advanced Warfare syringe system with the darts being the 'needles'
