Sweet! couple ideas for you. 1. Take one of your sword holders and strap it to your calf, then add some PVC tube to your shield. When you need your hands free, tuck the pvc tube from the shield into the sword holder. It wont be super stable, but for a quick reload, should work a treat. 2. Feet protection - just add some plastic chain to hang from the bottom of the shield. You still have mobility, but also protection. 3. For a laugh, drill a BUNCH of holes in the shield the size of jolt barrels, then add jolts to point through the shield. Would be hilarious. Thanks for your hard work and sharing,

You should put a dump pouch on the shield and have a stand on the bottom of the Shield so you can set the shield down and reload your hammer shots while keeping the shield up right

You should have some spikes or something on the bottom of the sheild so you can plant it in a fixed location as temporary cover

An arm that swings out to support it maybe (this kind of shield is called a pavice)
Maybe flip down plastic stands on front and back.
Perhaps a small flip down plate at the bottom that you could kneel/stand on to keep the shield upright? Might work as something to use for potential reloading without the injury risk of spikes?
Add a hard fixed plate to the base of the shield that you step on with one foot - wouldnt be totally stable, but would work for temp cover while you reload

My personal "assault" loadout is a Khaos, 2 slung Hyperfires and a modded Mega Cycloneshock on the lower part of my back.
If I were doing "pistols only" I'd probably go with my 6 Strongams, a Doublestrike, a Mega Dickinson and 2 Hotshocks.

I was thinking about something like this recently also lol. But what I was thinking was a duel wielding rig based off a old school "Brace of pistols" or a "pistol baldric".
Concerning the shield, Walcom did a video a while back about shields where his had feet so he could stake it, if not just set it down. That could work. Or, fail that, you could try attaching molle to the inside of the shield to hold a dump pouch (practicality goes down depending on playstyle).
Those hammershot holsters is similar to mine, but much much smaller and blockier, looks like it's heavier, even though its smaller.

I'm watching this in the middle of the night and I just got to the point about you discussing not knowing where to put a dump pouch and i instantly said "why not use your right leg for the dump pouch and maybe another sweet revenge or doubleshot"
I laughed so hard when you got to the third hammer shot that was so good holy $hit man that's a lot of guns lol
At this point I guess you have already figured out anything you'd need for the shield, but I've seen that a shoulder strap is rather handy (I'm in LARP and full contact armored fighting, for contextualization): frees a hand up, allows to rest the occasional tired ellbow (I'm scrawny, my joints tire easily xD), even to operate some equipment that you might have stored inside the shield (secondary weapons, reloads, you name it).
Granted, the only disadvantage is that you have another strap dangling about.
The second thigh rig could be used to move down the 2 right handed hammer shots so then you could have dump pouch or two one for darts and one for socks for if you want to use it in HvZ.
have 3 dump buckets/pouches: 1st with darts, 2nd with cocked and loaded jolts, and 3rd with fired ones. you draw from the 2nd, fire, put it in the 3rd , and repeat.

You could stick a couple extra hammershots on the leg rig just have them going the other direction or space them so you can grab the inside two after the outside two are spent

As a shield fighter in pretty much every activity that allows it: this pleases me.
all jolt loadout... sounds like hell. but the kind of hell that is funny as hell.
You could 3D print speed loaders and Mount that too the Shield so if you don't have down time you can line up the darts in the speed loader with the barrels on your blaster and use that to load

If i ever saw this in a nerf war, id just give up because thats a lot of dedication to a pistol only load out
Take apart one of those spinny lightsabers and replace the handles with that. That way, not only can you switch between tower shield and zulu styles, but you can spin your shield for extra protection!

You could move the right handed pistol for duel wielding as well as one of the front ones to the other thigh rig and put it right in the center of the belt
For a more positive attachment of the hammershots use the little springloaded nub on the top of the gun
You could add a dump pouch to the shield and hold the hammershot in your right hand with the shield and pull spare darts with your left for reloading
I don't want a dump pouch on the shield (for lots of reasons)
You could probably put a clip on the shield to hold a pistol barrel up for reloading.(perhaps using the top rail)

Also maybe a vortex pistol too.

You should hang your dump pouch (maybe something a little bigger?) on the inside of your shield. Open up some belt space and you can reload while ducked down.
You could try putting a holster on the shield above the current handle facing down and outwards at a slight angle, this would let you holster your left hammershot and still hold it, essentially making a another handle and freeing up your right hand? Just an idea.

You could add a disruptor in your right leg, for that bit extra firepower if your shield breaks. Or even a cycloneshock or a magnus, in case you're out of rockets. Idk
For adding the dump pouch couldn't you just attach Molly webbing to the outside of one of the holters and attach the pouch to that?

I was just thinking about doing something like this. I have been collecting pistols for a while and just decided to try and do a pirate inspired loadout where I festoon myself with 10 to 20 pistols
I wonder if Mounting the bottom part of an N-strike attachment to the shield would allow you to clip one of you hammer shots to the shield while you reload it from a dump pouch all while keeping your shield up.
You should make a revoler, with a bunch of jolts as the cylinder

Are you going to have a dump pouch on the Jolt loadout vest for empties? If not what will you do with them?
What shoulder straps / harness do you use? They look really comfy. Also, an option would be to lose one of the back swords and replace it with an ammo dispenser for teammates who are hiding behind you, or a shotgun sling or something.

Yup. They are too far back to cross draw.
See, what you do, is take off the right hip sheath, add more hammershots, and put the sword across your lower back in a horizontal sheath.
if you use straps to hold the shield on your arm instead of the handels you can duel wield but still use your shield
I specifically do not want a strapped shield for several reasons. I do have a design for a specific dual wield shield though.
As for the jolt idea have you seen trigun? Meryl stryfe might be a good model

To make it easier to reload what if you mounted an even more specialized holster so the sheald can hold the blaster and you could reload with out putting it down?
How do these RE holsters compair to the hammershot holsters from narrow base? Those seem a little more minimal than these
They are much bigger but also far more versatile. It would have also cost me $200 to buy 9 Narrow Base holsters as opposed to $40 in filament to print these
