    Brilliant! I've been looking for a batter recipe that I can use in my trusty air fryer without it sticking and making a mess, and also to make in advance to freeze and use in a later meal. Thank you! 🙏🏼
    Also another handy little tip I found that works rather well is when I blitz my bread or cornflakes in a food processor to make the crumb, I add a tablespoon of cooking oil to it, this saves me spraying the food to get that all-over crispiness.

    hi mike liked your oysters and onions BUT you are not really folding the flour in, you are lightly whisking

    very nice. liked and subscribed and bookmarked. i've watched a lot of videos on air frying onion rings and particularly liked this one cause i always thought corn flakes would be the way to go. just got my air fryer and i know it works great on frozen pre-breaded onion rings. i may try some pancake batter concoctions as well, as i love sweet rings (like sonic).

      For sweet onion rings, start with sweet Vidalia onions if you can find them. Vidalia is a city in South Georgia, and I live in Atlanta, so they're easy to find here. Good luck.

    Thanks for the video. I've tried this recipe twice and both times, the rings had no taste once they finished cooking. All I could taste was cornflakes. Is there a specific type of onion that you recommend? Any additional prep tips for the onions? Please let me know. Thanks.

      @@carlglisson2156 I use Vidalia or Sweet Onion..You could even slightly season the onion before you batter.

      @@mikethestewburner5505 Oh yeah will yeah in that case, buy with an air fryer you are able too get away with not using much if any oil. Also really my point was. Not to criticize at all, because I definitely do plan to try your recipe, I’m vegan and love onion rings! I was looking for a recipe a while back, a good while back. The. Your video pops in my feed. So yeah not meaning to criticize you, but too, I thought the more oil, the less crispy they would be. 🙂Shalom.

      @@Patienceofthesaints I've gone with less spritz and did not come out as grispy and golden as I would like. No offense taken...thanks so much for the view. Try making it just as I demonstrate and go ahead and try less oil but make sure you use a neutral oil like Avacado or even vegetable oil..let me know how yours comes out.

    So whats thepoint of air frying if you still use oil? You could do it in the oven with no oil

    • @mikethestewburner5505
      @mikethestewburner5505  11 місяців тому +4

      You use far less oil than you would deep frying. You would not get the same results in a conventional oven. Air Fryers use convection air heating.

      The best thing about videos is fast forward. There are also those that like some explaining. There are many more popular youtube cooks out there talking way more than my vids. Just go watch a Sam The Cooking Guy vid. Have a great week and thanks for the view.
