      @barbara gill I don't believe in eating a steak Well done and cooking prime rib or tenderloin to well ruins it but I'm willing to make it how a person wants it. I base it on the cut of meat as to how well I cook it. To each his own but if I pay $20 for a steak it better be the way I want it or it will go back. They don't have pros working the kitchen in these places and it isn't hard to learn to cook a steak but it's easy to fuck up if you don't know how.

      @@dontdiscriminatehateeveryo9263 you're right there. It's usually strip steak as well which isn't even a very good cut. You can always find ribeye on sale at your local supermarket. Butter, garlic, thyme and a skillet will give you a delicious steak meal for 2 for 20. Way better than applebee's 6 oz steak...cooking steak dinners at home changed my life! I eat steak all the time now that I don't treat it like a special restaurant meal.

      I live way south of Manila. I live in Bacolod City. Manila is not the real Philippines. It is more set up for foreigners. Makati is a business side of Manila all high end. I try to avoid going to Manila to crowded. Its like New York Ok to visit never stay long.

    That is a beauteous fried onion flower. I'm still working on the right ratio, and the best base ingredients, but one of my fav dipping sauces is a mix of mayo (more creamy, and not tangy), with a BBQ sauce (something without corn syrup, but still a bit sweet, along with some smokiness is good), and a smidgen of Lawry's. Are you gonna hang on to this appliance?

      It's so good~ It's slightly sweet, tangy, creamy and it's got a kick. Louisiana hot sauce is hard to find where I live (Australia) we can only get it from one restaurant and it costs a small fortune lol. So if anyone can't find Louisiana hot sauce, any hot sauce (eg. Cholula) will work. Except Tobasco.. That didn't go well.

    Just found one of these that has been sitting in the back of an old cupboard for literally over a decade, unopened. I totally forgot about it but everyone around here loves blooming onions and I've been making them by hand. This easily cuts about 30-45 minutes off the preparation process all by itself for me. Without it you get to peel all the petals apart one by one and the cuts are almost never eye candy like this even when the onion wants to cooperate.

    Buttermilk is just off milk isn't it? We don't have it in the UK much so we make it by adding vinegar to milk making it go sour fast! That onion looks so delicious!

    • @ingriddubbel8468
      @ingriddubbel8468 6 років тому

      No its more like keifer (sp?) milk.

    • @Rik77
      @Rik77 6 років тому +2

      @@ingriddubbel8468 oh yes that is similar. But I think that's more like a different form of buttermilk called "cultured buttermilk". The basic buttermilk in US shops I think is just an acidic soured milk. I don't think they sell true buttermilk much. So any acid added to milk and left for 20mins should give you something very similar that you use to replace buttermilk in recipes. Saves buying a carton of it.

    • @nevesdarocha

      Buttermilk is the milk that is left over from butter making. It's naturally fat free and slightly tangy.
