Hey, a quick pin! I didn't realize when I came up with this idea or when I made this video that -spirit is a suffix reserved specifically for a character made as a memorial to a young girl who passed away in real life, so in the future I'm still going to use this IDEA, but respect the suffix being exclusive for her. I actually came up with a new idea! Instead of -spirit, they name cats after the prefix of the clan! So, swiftthunder, hopeshadow, gorsewind, pikeriver, etc!
Naming them after the clan would also be really interesting! But would mosskit be mossthunder or mossriver, if she’s half clan and died on her way to riverclan? I guess she didn’t officially become a riverclan cat and since the clan thought bluestar’s kits were dead sunstar would’ve given them -thunder names which would be a bit confusing when stonefur and mistystar were still alive, but if bluestar gave mosskit her ceremony when she was giving her to riverclan, would she have said river?
Just gonna quote Moonkitti here: "Hey Starclan! Guess who died young?" "Everybody is young in Starclan." "And if you're a kit, you never grow old and are forced to be a child forever."
Since Mapleshade's kits were never put to rest, what if she mentions it to Crookedstar at some point and he decided to name them and set their spirits free?
Taylor Orme what if when they meet at the border when he dies, something else happened. She appears to him before he dies, and, as one final try at putting her vendetta to rest, he names her kits. Petalspirit, Patchspirit, And Larchspirit. That’s why Mapleshade didn’t really affect most of Appledusk’s kin after that. She had nothing to hate them for, as her kits where free
I actually had a similar thought about that too! What if Mapleshade’s kits really didn’t leave the forest because of them not having proper names? What if one night their ghosts woke up Crookedstar, who followed them to their unmarked graves and gave them a quiet vigil and the names they deserve. Putting them at rest- it isn’t until Mapleshade sees them across the Starclan-Dark Forest border that she leaves Crookedstar and his family alone.
This also adds a lot of depth to the badgerpaw death. When he asks flintfang if he'll receive a warrior name, the older warrior realizes that brokenstar will condemn this kit- this apprentice- too young to be fighting- away from starclan forever. Flintfang leans down, knowing that he can't technically name him under the eyes of the stars, but he's hoping that it will count anyway. "I'd expect they'd let you choose" he says to him, desperate to make it count but to make it DIFFERENT. to make a POINT. if ONE KIT will survive this slaughter, it will be the one who got to choose his own name. "Badgerfang- because you were such a great mentor" Flintfang can't help but feel grief fill him. He's begging Starclan for it to count. it HAS to! he thinks of how young this cat was and how much HE trained him. he feels guilt and as he looks up to starclan he begs one last time "if one cat named fang tonight makes it to starclan, please let it be him!"
I think it might also add weight in the scenes that queens might be begging brokenstar to make them warriors because it seems like the queens expected a lot so that would make scenes.
all i can imagine is brokenstar somehow learning that he had sisters who died young and that's why he's so careless about shadowclan kits. if his sisters couldn't get into starclan because of his mother's mistakes, then hell, nobody could.
I like that thought, but I personally thought that he would refuse to name them as a way to reinforce the belief that they weren't kits, they were warriors, and that what ShadowClan was doing under his reign wasn't wrong.
Here's one; Firestar holding Gorsepaw's body, while his mother is sobbing in his paw, and one of his first acts as leader, he's crying as he names him Gorsespirit in the decimated Windclan. He then rallies the broken cats to battle in name of Gorsespirit.
Bramblegold is great too! I particularly like brambleflower because I think what bramble VALUES in himself is his kindness and ability to be gentle- his father was cruel and people expect cruelty from him, but he shows restraint and kindness and nurturing instead, and -flower would be an outright rejection of whatpeople expect from him
Brambleflower could represent when Bramblepaw was looked down on he was like a Bud of a flower, he works hard and he begins to be trusted and he as a bud seems to bloom, when he kills Hawkfrost he is fully bloomed.
@@Draikinator True i think it would definitely honor goldenflower. And it dose sound very pretty. (how ever i can picture the other cats teasing him lmao) To me gold would be him shinging through all the parts of his life that 'muddy' his life. For instance tigerstar in evil and evil things are normal dark colors. But because of his mother he makes a was for himself proving he's not the cat his father was and he made a new name for himself and he'll get "the crown" the right way. The gold represents his mother, him making a new way for himself, and his determination to become leader the right way.
Aw, Brambleflower would have been adorable! ...Thanks for making me cry, Nate. Maybe if a young cat is actively dying, like Badgerfang, they'll be allowed to choose their own suffixes. Or young cats that die do indeed go to Starclan as 'kit' or 'paw', but are given a naming ceremony by their former clan's medicine cat during the half moon.
I wonder if, in an AU where Firestar knows Scourge is his half brother, he gives Scourge a -spirit name right before/after he is killed in the BloodClan battle? Imo it would give some great potential weight to Scourge as a reoccurring Dark Forest villain, and give an even greater emphasis on the whole "BloodClan's downfall is their lack of faith." Ofc there would be the struggle of potentially sending such an evil cat to StarClan, but afaik in the first series there was no distinction between where good vs evil cats went. It would also give more ammunition at Firestar for straying farther from the Clan's traditions for naming a non-warrior. I'm just imagining this scene. Firestar gets killed by Scourge, dead as far as all the BloodClan cats know. The battle rages on, but Firestar suddenly blinks, coughing up blood as he stands. Several BloodClan cats notice this, almost gaping as a cat they had just seen get murdered stand as if nothing happened. Scourge whirls around, his eyes wide at his victim. Growling, Scourge pounces on Firestar, fur flying as the two struggle in the center of the clearing. Cats make way, the battle slowly coming to a stand still as they watch the two. Firestar pins Scourge, digging his claws into Scourge's shoulder. Firestar gasps for breath, but manages to choke out the words. "I say these words before my warrior ancestors, so they may grant this cat entry to StarClan," Firestar's eyes slide down to meet Scourge's, alight with rage and confusion. "From this moment on, you will be known as Tinyspirit." Firestar lunges down, biting into Scourge's throat until the black cat's body ceases its convulsions. In the still silence that follows, a ghastly white shape, the perfect replica of Scourge, lifts itself from the body underneath Firestar. It stares at Firestar for a heartbeat, its face emotionless, and then floats up towards Silverpelt, fading into nothing as it ascends.
WOW! i mean this is really amazing, i'd say this is probably just as great as the evil spottedleaf au by draikinator. what would be cool though is like if after seeing firestar do this, scourge started having a different point of view of things and decided to change for the better.
Actually, I'm just spitballing here, by what if Tinyspirit became a wandering spirit? Firestar allowed him passage to Starclan, but by most standards, his deeds would condemn him to the Place of No Stars. Not quite fitting into either, Tinyspirit was trapped to wander amounts the clan cats. Every time he tried to pass to Starclan, he was judged against his actions, and dragged into the Dark Forest, similar to Appledusk in the Heartless MAP. However, due to his being given a Starclan name, and by extension, being atleast somewhat redeemed, he's able to exit the Dark Forest and return to the clans. I imagine he'd probably end up taking up a Warrior-esk role, out of boredom, I.E. tagging along on border patrols and hunting parties, and maybe even helping the cats hunt and fight through some sort of indirect possession or something.
Artsy Fox I like that idea but I’m imagining it more to be he’s just watching the clans and learning from them, with them being unable to see him. More like being one of the ghosts goosefeather could see (I know he’s dead by then but you know what I mean right?) rather than just be a dead cat living among the well.. living
This AU is B E A U T I F U L and would give a whole new layer of meaning and intrigue to the series I can see Blackstar trying not to cry as he gives Talonpaw (A Shadowclan apprentice who was murdered by kittypets) the name “Talonspirit” while the clan grieves. Or Firestar giving Molepaw, Shrewpaw, Hollykit, and Larchkit their names. I can see Leopardstar giving Mistyfoot’s kits, Primrosepaw, Perchkit, and Pikekit their names during Stonefur’s vigil after the battle with Bloodclan because they didn’t have the time before and Leopardstar blames herself for the deaths of these cats. This AU has so much potential and I may just have to take a page out of it in my own warriors rewrite/AU. 😉😍
Not to damper on this comment "really enjoyed it btw" but I think Talonpaw was the cat who was murdered by the kittypets in the second ark. Or you could be thinking of a different Talonpaw.
Sofie Can Draw? Different Talonpaw, or maybe it was the Erins saying one thing then another, but if my memory’s correct Tawnypelt said that Talonpaw had been killed by badgers shortly after Shadowclan settled in around the lake. Though I may be wrong so thank you for correcting me!!
My characters name is Bouncestep, from the start she was energetic and that’s where she got Bounce and when she snuck out as a kit she was attacked. That experience scarred her and she was no longer bubbly. She lost her Bounce and became a step. I really enjoy her and her story. Her life is an interesting one and I’m really have fun with my gal.
Fire star calmly padded along the dew dappled grass beside the bending thunder path . From behind he heard a deafening screech “SHREW PAW” the distressed voice called . I what seemed in a instant he made the abrupt turn to see the young apprentice stood frozen in place , eyes wide with utter horror , tail low and back dipped . Not so far away from him came the roaring monster , in the shock of the moment he knew something had to be done. No he couldn’t save him now but he could do one last thing for this poor tom doomed to be struck by the turning claws of the monster . “ FROM NOW ON YOU SHALL BE KNOWN AS SHREW THUNDER , MAY YOU FIND YOUR WAS TO STAR CLAN “ He bellowed as fast as he could in a desperate bid to save the young apprentices soul . He turned his head just before it happened , the blood curdling scream echoed throughout the foggy air he ten ed as he heard it . Letting out a sigh he sent warriors to collect the distorted corpse from the treachery of the thunderpath , As others coated his body in leaves Fire star looked up towards the sky to see the very pheasant that caused the death of shrew thunder . In a shaky and grief stricken voice he let out a feeble whisper as the bird flew higher into the sky “ Rest peacefully...... Shrew thunder...”
Personal headcannon, but I always imagine that cats who die too young or without their loved ones are given wings in StarClan, as a way for the ancestors to kind of apologize for them not being able to have those they loved with them when they died. And as a way to symbolize that they had great potential, and they should have been able to soar to greater heights than they did. Most often I depict my OC Brokensong and her kits with wings, as Broken’s mate was in a different clan, and never got to meet their kits. Brokensong has been denied quite a bit in life, her adoptive parents died, her adopted siblings grew distant from her and one even ended up forsaking StarClan. Then her kits died due to illness and she later died a rather gruesome death in the nursery by red cough. Her last thoughts of the kits she would never show her mate and an apology to everyone she was leaving behind. She was reunited in StarClan with most of her deceased family, and left her kits with her adoptive father Cottontooth while she went down to visit her mate one last time before her mate died and could finally meet all of their family. Oh, and of course her prefix was changed from Lark to Broken after she fell out of a tree and permanently damaged her right hind leg, further damaging it she went out to defend her Clan from coyotes and ended up getting a few nasty scars along with crippling her leg further.
thelazy omegawolf, This is a very unique and interesting headcannon I must say! :D I love your OCs backstory and it sorta inspires me to have a bit more creativity with these kind of topics.
“My dears...” Brokensong mewed softly, her kits small white and brown bodies barely moving. *I’m sorry Jasperstar, but give me this honor...* “I name you, Creekwild... Larkwild... and Cottonwild... please... rest well in StarClan...” the dark tabby she-cat sobbed softly. “Beetleback... I’m so so sorry you haven’t gotten to meet our kits...” she coughed, a bit of red spattering from her mouth, and dripping down her chin. “I’m afraid I’ll join them soon as well... I’m sorry my love...” her tail wrapped around her self and kits. She nuzzled into Cottonwild’s fur, her paws curling up. Without any proper sap RabbitThump had no hope of curing her red cough. “StarClan, please... grant me the privilege of... seeing my kits in your territory...” she coughed again, blood spilling from her jaw.
Same here! I depict my medicine cay oc, Doveflight, With wings formed from stardust that are only seen at night. They are an omen to her connection with starclan and her determination to live.
I have two OCs that I just made recently, that I really care about. Goldenrose and Glistenthorn. They were both from the same clan, though not related, who had fell apart due to a "sickness" (rabies) that affected the leader, and soon everyone else. They were both found with a stale scent, but far away from each other, and were actually brought to two different clans for their lives. The difference between the two though was that Goldenrose became a kind and gentle cat, and Glistenthorn was known as a very strong and fearless warrior... ...They had found each other at the border of their clans one night. The two she-cats soon started meeting each other in secret very often for many moons, until one day, Glistenthorn gets the news. She's going to be involved in an attack on Goldenrose's clan, for something as small as their cats getting too close to their borders, and apparent prey-stealing, with no proof of it. Glistenthorn denounced her camp right before the attack. She had always hated how vengeful her clan was, and the potential to hurt Goldenrose was too much for her to bear. She announced that she would no longer be a part of her clan, turned, and left without another word. She was a strong warrior, and they had been relying on the strongest warriors. Due to her absence now, they could not accomplish the attack on the camp. She now lives as a rogue, secretly meeting Goldenrose at the edge of all Clan borders. Goldenrose's name was known for both her golden-colored pelt, and her soft, yet motherly nature. She loved her clanmates, and with her mentor, Sweetheart, putting an influence on her, she grew to be a caring cat with eyes who's eyes were said to always hold an air of acceptance in them. Glistenthorn's name is made for multiple things. Her bright-on-dark Calico pelt, her glaring and unique eyes, and her dangerous and aggressive attitude. I had also called her this name to signify her relationship with Goldenrose, because every Rose needs to have it's Thorns in order to protect it's beauty. Pretty much, two lesbian cats, one is a soft rose, and the other is a sharp thorn, and the two completely fell in love.
Badgerfang was a lucky boi, I love how you played with this idea Nate! I really like how you thought throw it out. Also how would Yellowfang feel about her two daughters, Wishkit and Hopekit. I think she would be extremely hurt and would be terrified about it and I think she may be come moor. Concerned about Brokenkit. I think she would go to Raggedstar and snap at him to secretly give Wishkit and Hopekit names, and he would refuse and she would beg for him to do so. I think their names would have been Wishspirt and Hopeflower. That’s how I think that would happen.
The warrior isn't just in the play. Page 144 of Long Shadows (Power of Three) mentions a Starclan cat named Brightspirit (parents named Shiningheart and Braveheart), who tells Jayfeather (Jaypaw at the time) where to find catmint when the catmint at the abandoned twolegplace was crushed in the battle before the Solar Eclipse. How do I know this? I literally just reread the book because I was catching up for a friend of mine who got into it. XD
I love this idea. Like. Oh my god. However, I personally think that only kits should receive -spirit. For apprentices, especially older ones, I think that they would’ve shown enough skills and personality to be given a suffix based off of that (I’d love for suffixes to be based off of personality or skills). So Swiftpaw would not be Swiftspirit, he’d be Swiftfire.
Since we're sharing oc.... My main oc named is Rosebramble of Shadow Clan. The rose could either mean devotion and love toward her clanmates, while the bramble could symbolize protection against threats that want to hurt her clan.
You just made me love Blackstar even more!! Personally, he's one of my favorite background characters (even though he killed stonefur), and the idea of him fixing Brokenstar's and possibly Tigerstar's wrongs as well as with other Shadowclan cats who have died early on it's such an amazing concept to me! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :3
Just now thought of this. Maybe instead of the suffix Spirit since it was reserved for Brightspirit only, then how about Light? I know Briarlight has this suffix already, but wasn't she named while it was believed that she wouldn't live much longer after her accident? These fallen apprentices and kits being given the suffix light could signify how they were the LIGHT of their Clan since they were future warriors or medicine cats but didn't get to reach that goal. Thus, they'd be given the suffix light in the hopes that their afterlife is just as bright as their living life. I hope that made any sense at all.
Someone should host a map about silverspirit/stream and breezespirit/pelt contrasting their lives showing how different methods of being raised changes their future. They were both born into similar circumstances do why not. I know they're not born close to the same time but still
Awesome! I always loved Rainwhisker, but was always annoyed with his suffix! It would be nice if he was named after his father, Whitestorm! Rainstorm sounds so much cooler.... rip.
RainWillow sounds like a name that would really stand out at that time of the series. Ya know, Willowpelt was his mother so he could have that name too.
I'd like if maybe a suffix was used for the evil cats that die? Like Brokenstar would become Brokenkit for all the kits he got killed. Tigerstar maybe becomes Tigerfox, for his evil cunning and use of brute force. Hawkfrost could be Hawklake or Hawkblood for how he bled into the lake. Basically they'd get different named based on something related to their bad doings.
i like that idea. honestly i kinda expected them to at least of had their leader names removed upon death but they didn't although tigerfox doesn't really sound right
@@LeoAnnastasia Lol. Mapleshade's could be Mapledusk, as a nod to Appledusk, or Maplekit, because everything she did was fueled by her desire of vengeance for her kits.
@@artsyfox7865 Maybe Mapleshade would end up with a more tribal name (from DotC) like, Maple's Kits, just to distinguish the difference from Brokenstar and Mapleshade
I agree that names should have more meaning, when I'm naming my characters I always try to give them meaningful suffixes! It makes it easier to name them, for one, since I have a few suffix lists I look at ;3; Foxblaze- Fox because she's red, blaze because she's fast and powerful Heatherdawn- Heather because her eyes are purple (fight me), dawn because she's calm and optimistic Foxpelt and Heatherstripe would have been so boring in comparison? ALSO I LOVE THE IDEA OF THE SPIRIT SUFFIX? It makes some things make much more sense, and some other things much sadder ow
I have always found that when I give my storyworld cats names that are symbolic, like my main oc Cedarmoon, but I sometimes catch myself thinking that I should give more cats mundane names like -fur. It almost seems sad now after seeing this video that we are so much more inclined to not be as creative with names.
I have an OC named Olivebranch, I said this in your server but he's deaf and has had a prophecy about him healing sickness. It causes clans to fight over him. The symbol of the olive branch is one of peace, but he brings trouble. Id go more into it if someone asks me to.
This story is a bit of a WIP but all four medicine cats get a prophecy foretelling his importance in the future. A deadly sickness breaks out and they figure out its about the kittypet Olive. Thunderclan finds it out first and snatches him away. The other clans catch on before Olive has enough time to heal in Thunderclan. He goes from clan to clan kidnapped and stolen. Many cats die before everyone is healed and Olive is renamed Olivebranch by Riverclan as they take him in.
@@batxic Interesting concept i love it. It'd be intresting if he ends up leaving all 4 clans and becoming neutral and helping every clan when needed. Just a little idea but I love the story!
When Swiftpaw died, Bluestar only cared about the newly named Lostface, so when Bluestar was asleep, Fireheart called a Clan meeting and renamed his fallen comrade Swiftspirit
So I have this Headcanon about how leaders get their nine lifes (This mainly focuses on Tigerstar). So the main point is that only the Deputy can get nine lifes which explains why most evil cats got their nine lifes because Starclan cant do anything against it. So when Tigerclaw goes to the Moonstone he cant get the extra lifes because Blackfoot is still alive but Tigerclaw doesnt get why he cant get the lives but Blackfoot is aware if the tabby ever found out he would kill him so he proposes the idea of getting Bloodclans 'help' because Blackfoot knows they are the only cats that would dare to stand up to Tigerstar (He kinda interviewed Jaggedtooth {or whatever cat knew Bloodclan} about them). Even if Tigerstar claims he got nine lifes he still goes to the Moonstone every so often bit without success. He starts to get suspicous of Blackfoot but chooses not to do something to him because he isnt really sure if hes the reason behind it. In the meantime Blackfoot spent more time with Bloodclan and the day of Tigerstars death he was ordered to bring Bloodclan to the forest and during the walk Blackfoot tells Scourge is using them as an army to carry out his own plans and that Tigerstar never got nine lifes but Scourge doesnt believe him at first. The meeting mainly stays the same with the exception that the truth about Tigerstars lack of lifes comes out but Scourge exposes Blackfoot as a traitor. So the Clans are sort of split. Lionclan thinks Blackfoot is great while Tigerclan blame him for their demise. The last thing is that it takes longer for Firestar to recover from his lost life and during that Blackfoot proves to Shadowclan that he is their worthy leader by taking on Scourge to save a group of Shadowclan Apprentices.
One of my favorite character names of mine has to be my OC, Hollowlight. Her name was Oakkit as a child, but her siblings died from the lack of prey in thunderclan. Oakkit was the only surviving kit out of her litter. Once she became an apprentice, the medicine cat noticed sadness in her and took Oakpaw in. Oakpaw became Birchlight’s apprentice. Once Oakpaw became old and experienced enough, on the journey to the moon pool Birchlight was attacked and killed by a rouge named Jasper. Oakpaw ran, not knowing how to fight. She was named Hollow, after her sadness and future, and light after her mentor. Hollowlight then fell in love with the female leader, who didn’t share her feelings. Hollowlight took to a riverclan cat named Streamrush. Stream and Hollow had a kit, and Streamrush died before Hollow gave birth. Hollow named her kit Applekit, as the kit was born under an Apple tree. Hollowlight then, to save her clan, gave her kit to a twoleg. Hollow lived her life in regret and sadness, but that’s why I love her. She died from eating death berries, but watched over her clan and trained the next medicine cat.
I have an au about young kits that die, when they go to starclan, they get modified looks and powers. Snowkit has hawk talons latched on his shoulders with hawk feather running down his back and a great pair of wings. Mosskit has ice powers and her front paws have icy crystals on them. Patchkit, petalkit, and larchkit have gills and can breath in air and water and they have water powers. Petalkit has a pink mermaid tail instead of a real tail. Patchkit has a turtle shell on his back with a starclan symbol on it. Larchkit has a shark for a tail. They each have dorsal fins on heir backs. I can go into detail for more designs of them if you want, but right now I'm going to leave off there.
swiftpaw could have dog ears and maybe he could be able to either turn into a dog or be able to make himself look different to dogs in order to scare them.
I've always thought that traditional naming isn't very creative. My warrior OCs usually have unconventional suffixes, like mask or blaze. Great video, Nate!
Aw, I like the premise of this! It’s such a fun idea, and would be really easy to play around with, Also when you talked about the uh blood clan battle with black star of how he names each and every kit, I cried just imagining that And I think warriors did give a kit their warrior name, badger fang!
First of all, I love the idea of this AU! My only issue with the suffix -spirit is that I read somewhere that a cat was given the suffix -spirit in honor of a huge fan who died, so I've always thought of it as a sacred name, like Moon-/-moon was supposed to be. About name meanings, a few of my main warriors OCs have more meaningful names, particularly Jayfrost and Nightshade. Jayfrost has a complicated story, with the Clans having been destroyed, so Iceblaze (her mother) goes off with her kits, Jaykit (frost) and Frostkit. Jaykit's prefix is after her father, a kittypet named Jay. As the three go to find a home near him so the kits can have their father, Iceblaze and Frostkit are killed by a monster. Jaykit later renames herself Jayfrost after her sister, and vows to live for the both of them. Nightshade's name is much less sentimental. Nightpaw didn't have many friends in WindClan, and often came off as rude or judgemental to the other apprentices. This lead to Snakestar reading her personality as toxic. Nightpaw was given the name Nightshade as both a reminder of her rudeness in her youth and because her pelt matched the night sky. Apologies for any typos, my autocorrect is super bad and I'm not used to typing on a tablet.
I have one named Half'Spirit (An AU clan named MoonClan is founded by a RiverClan kit /taken in by RiverClan after ShadowClan rejected them when their med recieved news from starclan that those were kits of Bright'Star and Stripe'fur (an evil leader and a med, both female and dead btw. ....BrightStar killed her then friend /med who had feelings for her but forgave the evil leader) and when they're grown up, the new clan seperates from RiverClan .Spirit replaces Star as the leader suffix and leadership is passed down by generations. Also they reject StarClan for seperating the parents of their founder and punishing them for being Born from said relationship by being sent to the living world, becoming Half'Spirit. That's why when they die they roam the forest, counting niether as a StarClan nor Dark Forest cat but still being happy. Kinda long and weird but ye.
"And Blackstar passes out" All I see is this big freaking ball of white flops off the stump like a wet paper towel and runningnose or littlecloud having to drag this hunk of muscle and fur into either his den or the medicine cat den
Dang. I love this AU, it fleshes out the stories so much and really makes the choices and actions of some characters make so much more sense, like oh my gosh, I really adore it now. :'D
Because of the pinned comment about Brightspirit and why this headcannon wouldn't work with the -spirit suffix, I propose another alternative. Kits and paws have to have the suffix be the prefix of a Starclan cat. Usually a cat who knew them or knew their parents well. The ceremony is not only asking for Starclan to accept the young cat as a Warrior but is also asking the specific cat they named them after to guild them to Starclan. Imagine if Riverclan's leader did name Mapleshade's kits but gave them the name of a cat who was angry at her and felt she deserved the punishment? Bluestar names Mosskit MossSnow because she knew Snowfur was already keeping the kits' spirit company. Blackstar decides instead of naming the kits and paws who fell in Shadowclan after too many Starclan warriors names them all after Daisytail, knowing the queen who made the 6 moon rule would come to their aide.
I’m pretty sure I’m the only one left who remembers the (now extremely non-canon) short story from one of the field guides where StarClan explains that cats who die young get aged up into the cat they would have been, had they survived. This even went as far as to show a kit who passed as the leader that they would have become, had they survived. Of course, given what PoT/OotS introduced in regards to StarClan as well as more generally what it set up in regards to how almost everything in the Warrior Cats universe is predestined at least to a certain extent (in contrast with something like the Wings of Fire universe, where visions of the future and even most prophecies are from only one “most likely” timeline, StarClan’s prophecies and visions of the future are completely accurate 100% of the time, something that’s even pointed out by Rock at one point), this version of StarClan is all but completely incompatible with the modern lore. But it’s an interesting concept nonetheless.
@@Draikinator Hey, Nate. What if deputies who die before they can become leader are given the suffix: "Wish?" Like: Redwish for Redtail and Lionwish for Lionheart? I just think Deputies who die before becoming leader need more love tbh.
This is so good! At first I thought you meant giving a warrior suffix to kits and apprentices just for laughs, but this is something completely new! I love this!
I am hella gonna use this sort of AU Idea! I always saw that the suffix that cats were given was a reflection of something they did, a feature they have, or something really metaphorical! Drake, these are awesome Idea's and full credit to you! In the future I will definitely use 'em!
Oooh! I love this AU! I’ve just changed part of my oc’s backstory, slightly- also what if instead of ‘spirit.’ Which is amazing and I think would work well for Swiftpaw, it could have something to do with their personality or the way they died, but anyway..) I have an oc who was killed as an apprentice during a battle, her mother, SnowPetal, demands a ceremony for her daughter and the leader, Rowanstar, names her ‘BlueBlaze.’ As she was an ambitious, mischievous and rebellious apprentice who ‘Blazed.’ Through the battle until her last breath. Ooommmggg I love your au’s! Just become an author for warriors already!!
Fallen leaves never became his equivalent of a warrior, this concept could explain one idea how he is stuck in the tunnels and unable to go be with his ancestors Also I would make the suffix leaves as a reminder of fallen leaves lost in the tunnels for the rest of eternity.
I named one of my ocs Thunderstorm, because in her backstory her mother tried to bring her across the river to become a rouge but was washed away by the current, leaving Thunderkit at Sunningrocks to be found the next morning by her father, who searched for her even though a thunderstorm was coming in, threatening his chances of finding her.
This is amazing!! I wish they would have done this so much, it would have made a lot of characters way more interesting, and all and all add to the series a whole lot.
What if instead of Sasha asking Leopardstar to name Tadpole, she didn't. You know that scene you wrote with Tadpole and Hawkfrost? What if it was something like that, but just a little different. Tadpole is haunting his brother, starving without prey, sick, constantly weak and in pain. The few times he's tried to bring it up to another warrior, and the one time he tried to bring it up with Leopardstar, he was shrugged off and ignored. Outcasted just a little further. Tigerstar takes his chance and preys upon Hawkfrost's fear and care for his brother. Under his instruction, Hawkfrost had Mothwing made medicine cat in hopes that her connection to starclan would give them a way to save their younger brother. But Mothwing lost faith in Starclan, and in turn, lost faith in Tadpole's spirit. So desperately, Hawkfrost sets his sight on leadership. Hoping beyond hope that if he becomes leader, he can name his brother and set him free. That he's not too late. He shares this with Brambleclaw on one quiet night. It doesn't change the fact that Brambleclaw is forced to kill him, but Brambleclaw remembers the stories that Hawkfrost told him of his brother. Tadpole's memory is faint, but he's not faded yet, a glimmer of him left in the stories passed from brother to brother. A tiny sliver of belief. And for a long time, there's nothing Brambleclaw can do but remember. Until after a great battle is fought, after a great leader has died, after he has killed his brother for the second time. When his name is no longer Brambleclaw. He wakes up from the moonpool with eight new lives, his adopted son slowly rousing beside him, and with the starry blood of his brother still in his claws, he names Tadpoleriver, a mouthful for sure but a name none the less. Jayfeather asks him about it, and Bramblestar passes down the story, but with a new ending this time. The next time Jayfeather is in Starclan, he swears that he sees a small black tom, faded but there, just passing by. Healthy, still a bit on the skinny side but clearly recovering and staying well away from the water.
I'm crying. This is so important and I am pissed this isn't CANON. This is so great for the Warrior's world and the Erins are absolutely crazy for not thinking of this! This would fit so well within the series, Nate. Thanks for making it, like gosh. It would ENRICH our book experiences so much. It would resonate so much more. I'm watching it again because that part with Blackstar and Speckletail had me close to tears.
now i can’t stop thinking about ravenpaw. he would definitely add a really cool spin onto this AU, with him denying his warrior name or spirit in ravenpaw’s farewell. and, let’s not forget leafpool’s kits. maybe when she had jaykit, she thought he was going to die, and silently started to call him jayspirit. but, was appalled and relieved when he survived? gosh, i love this AU so much!
woah! I never thought of that :0 Nate, I’d LOVE to see a video on the starclan judge theory, because ever since I heard of it I’ve been intrigued! Love ya :>
YES use the script Also, I remember how a while ago, one of my friends' oc was named Moonwhisp and I love that suffix 💙 And use fluffy more as a prefix :D
I like the Breezespirit AU! I also like to think that Bluestar whispered the name “Brightspirit” when Brightheart was brought into the camp after the fight with the dogs, because she was afraid her actions would cause the death of another apprentice.
YES PLEASE GIVE ME THIS AU PLEASE I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE Just- the brainstorms you gave me Blackstar giving all those lost kits and apprentices a ceremony finally, i imagine in that moment all the parents of these kits who have also died get reunited with their kits thanks to Blackstar doing something that Shadowclan didnt do for a long time. The moment of Snowkit dying, would make Brightpaws and Swiftpaws motivation MORE then just wanting to be warriors, the moment where Cloudtail also asks Firestar to also give Swiftpaw a ceremony when Lostface gets turned into Brighheart- just, i would cry...
This idea is amazing! There are so many moments in canon where it could be used to deliver an emotional gutpunch - especially when a cat visits StarClan and realizes just how many -spirit cats there are, and how many die so young because of this lifestyle. I feel like this thought adds more to the world, rather than takes away or bloats like other worldbuilding ideas some AUs come up with. Warrior names felt a lot more deliberate and meaningful in the first two arcs, and part of the third even... and part of this is likely because there just weren't as many characters as there are now. The new cast of background characters don't have time to get development and thus there isn't time to think up a new or personal suffix for them. I intend to place more emphasis on names in my rewrite of the series, and going more into the process of why cats get the names they do. Personally, I don't remember it being stated that only named warriors go to StarClan? But it's been a while and it was probably one of those things mentioned just once in Into the Wild and never expanded on later (also the idea that kits and apprentices don't go to StarClan is distressing for kids so I get why they didn't follow through).
It was stated like once in arc 1 and never again, like one time greypaw told firepaw that leaders only took the children of deputies as apprentices lol and then that's NEVER ONCE happened in canon ahdjeiagfnfkribebdg
This would definitely be fun to play with! Using this we could have leaders look down on cats by naming them “spirit” as downsizing them to merely fallen Kits or have a misunderstanding leader name someone “spirit”and have the warrior believe they are worthless and no more than some sick kit ready to die. This is such a fun AU idea!
0:40 I have unique names in my story! And some respond to siblings like Larvafoot and Bugtail. I have Koiswipe, since he barely used his teeth, Alpinesnap who has a rather different muzzle, Etc.
Gosh I really like this au. There’s so many cool oppouttunities to make already sad deaths even sadder. To add on, it would be interesting if they’re was another superstition that if a kit or apprentice gets a suffix like this but doesn’t die or isn’t dead, it’s bad luck. For example, when Bluefur gives up her kits, the clan holds a vigil for them and gives them suffixes. However, since Mistykit and Stonekit are still alive, Bluefur fears that along with giving up jerk kits and causing Mosskits death, she’s doomed her living kits to a life of misfortune(in a way that was kind of true but at the same time defibetly caused by other factors). When Snowkit is carried away by the hawk, Bluestar had been thinking about her past a lot, so she immediately remembers Mistykit and Stonekit and all of her stress related to them, and refuses to name him early. No one knows this, so it just looks like Bluestar doomed a kit, and is still the tipping point for Swiftpaw and Brightpaw. When Nightclouds other kits die, it looks like Breeze is going to die too, so he is given a suffix(probably something other than wind, because while usually a regular suffix could be reserved for cats who were old enough to at least develop a personality, Breezewind is functionally the same as Twigbranch, and no one wants another Twigbranch). However, he deist die which just pushes all of the effects that were described in the video, and adds an extra punch when Breezepelt is finally able to redeem himself and connect with others besides Nightcloud. Also Nightcloud and Crowfeather could both blame themselves for not thinking ahead; Nightcloud becomes protective as a way to make it up to Breezepelt, and Crowfeather is even more distant than he was when Breezepelt was a kit because he’s afraid of messing things up even more. In general, it would be nice to give more names meaning. It would have been interesting to name Lionblaze Lionflight after his adopted mother, since Hollyleaf and Jayfeather were both secretly named after their parents. I can imagine Leafpool and Squirrelflight both visiting Firestar and separately asking him to name a warrior after their sister and Firestar just thinking what great sisters they are without even realizing how deep that we’ll really went. But yeah. If any new big fan works of the books come out(like a rewriting or fan movie type thing), it would be really cool to see this concept added in. That way the audience can cry even harder!
I'm becoming increasingly impressed and exasperated with how excellent these AUs are. This deserves to be canon. I am now angry that it's not canon. ERINS PLEASE THIS UNIVERSE DESERVES BETTER
I completely agree! It would be so much better if the suffixes had meanings! (I personally like to imagine that -Claw is given to cats who are good at fighting, and -Leaf is given to medicine cats who are good with herbs)
I think my favorite naming system is in Tailchaser's Song due to there being 3 names for a cat (face name, tail name, and heart name), the face name being given to a kitten at birth, the tail name given to the cat as the age, and can be changed when the cat wants to. The heart name is given when a cat finds themselves, typically after a long soul searching type journey. The heart name is only shared with the closest of cats, Roofshadow telling Tailchaser hers before the face off against Grizraz Hearteater. I just think Tailchaser's Song did an amazing job in the field of suffix and prefix naming.
This almost made me cry, thinking about the emotions of the characters that the Erins passed with but you decided should be emphasized. The Erins had so much potential that they missed out on
I LOVE IT... Soul could be added and those could be saved for dying apprentices or kits but spirit could be used for somebody with a strong connection with starclan or someone who is stubborn or has a really definitive personality
This makes me think of when years ago, I and a few friends made Warrior cat oc’s. I had 2, Silversnow & Goldenspirit. Silversnow received the suffix “snow” not only to honor her mentor Snowhare, but also for her bravery in going out in a snowstorm to save a group of young apprentices. Goldensky received the suffix “Sky” to honor his fallen brother Skypaw (who drowned during in a flood and and saved Goldensky form the same fate) who’s honorary warrior name was Skyheart for his sacrifice.
Omg just imagining Black `Star naming every kit that died and giving them the 'spirit suffix and then passing out,but letting all those kita go to starclan is honestly beautiful
This is great! I was always grumpy about dead kits and apprantices not getting their warrior names! Also the song tha woud fit this AU in my opinion is "Raise me up"
I can imagine each clan having a different young-death ceremony. And it would be interesting to think that Shadowclan realizes their mistake when Brokenstar refuses to give the first young dead cat their suffix. And this also makes Badgerkit's death even sadder. Maybe as he's dieing Flintfang decided to take matters into his own hands and makes him Badgershadow, hoping he will make it to starclan. And when Yellowfang's daughters die she quietly gives them a ceremony through tears. Man, this idea is so interesting and cool to think about!
That'd be interesting!
Draikinator where did you learn about that?
This sounds like a pretty nice idea. But would Mosskit be Mossriver or Mossthunder?
Shadowkit will have a very interesting name XD
Just gonna quote Moonkitti here:
"Hey Starclan! Guess who died young?"
"Everybody is young in Starclan."
"And if you're a kit, you never grow old and are forced to be a child forever."
Spottedleaf. I remember watching that part at least 20 times.
And then starts to see her kits at the border between statrclan and the dark forest

"Badgerfang- because you were such a great mentor"
Flintfang can't help but feel grief fill him. He's begging Starclan for it to count. it HAS to! he thinks of how young this cat was and how much HE trained him. he feels guilt and as he looks up to starclan he begs one last time
"if one cat named fang tonight makes it to starclan, please let it be him!"
*Smiling Vagabond*
I want someone to animate this little scene. I really do-
I didn’t need my heart anyways.
I like that reasoning-
I think we all need something to make some of the villains a bit more realistic...
I like that thought, but I personally thought that he would refuse to name them as a way to reinforce the belief that they weren't kits, they were warriors, and that what ShadowClan was doing under his reign wasn't wrong.
300 likes exactly? ILL RUIN THAT. 301
Here's one; Firestar holding Gorsepaw's body, while his mother is sobbing in his paw, and one of his first acts as leader, he's crying as he names him Gorsespirit in the decimated Windclan. He then rallies the broken cats to battle in name of Gorsespirit.

:O Yes!
I like how you pointed out Brambleclaw’s name could be after his mother because how she defend him accents the other cats concerns about him
Ikr, i don't care if it'd sound girly. Or maybe bramblegold it sounds kingly and sophisticated. I feel like names in warriors are all an afterthought
@@Draikinator
True i think it would definitely honor goldenflower. And it dose sound very pretty. (how ever i can picture the other cats teasing him lmao)
To me gold would be him shinging through all the parts of his life that 'muddy' his life.
I want to write something with this now...
Yes, that is very accurate to what i was thinking
"From this moment on, you will be known as Tinyspirit."
Firestar lunges down, biting into Scourge's throat until the black cat's body ceases its convulsions. In the still silence that follows, a ghastly white shape, the perfect replica of Scourge, lifts itself from the body underneath Firestar. It stares at Firestar for a heartbeat, its face emotionless, and then floats up towards Silverpelt, fading into nothing as it ascends.
It could be really cool.... You could really show firestar's desperation to save his half brother wow.... I love it
WOW! i mean this is really amazing, i'd say this is probably just as great as the evil spottedleaf au by draikinator. what would be cool though is like if after seeing firestar do this, scourge started having a different point of view of things and decided to change for the better.
i love this idea!

The one about Blackstar naming all of the kits Brokenstar killed really touched me
Fire star calmly padded along the dew dappled grass beside the bending thunder path .

Sounds pretty cool
“StarClan, please... grant me the privilege of... seeing my kits in your territory...” she coughed again, blood spilling from her jaw.

congratulations! you've improved warrior cats again! these aus bring me life
I will take a hammer and fix the canon
WHY DOES THIS AU MAKE EVERYTHING MORE IMPACTFUL??
Badgerfang was a lucky boi,
I love how you played with this idea Nate!
Reminds me of Brightspirit from that awful Warriors play that was written and never performed.
I think that play was written for kids to perform in class, like, for extra credit or something! I don't know if anyone has ever done it though
There was gonna be a Warriors play?
The warrior isn't just in the play. Page 144 of Long Shadows (Power of Three) mentions a Starclan cat named Brightspirit (parents named Shiningheart and Braveheart), who tells Jayfeather (Jaypaw at the time) where to find catmint when the catmint at the abandoned twolegplace was crushed in the battle before the Solar Eclipse. How do I know this?
I literally just reread the book because I was catching up for a friend of mine who got into it. XD
@@gooserrs yeah
That's kinda rude. The cat was made for a fan who died.
Swiftblaze
what about their mentor’s names?
swiftlong, smokeoak, sweetsmall, seedbumble, shrewthorn, duskwasp, flowerbirch, mossbroken, volebroken, talonrowan, gorseone
I hope that made any sense at all.
wait what or maybe they get their clan’s suffix name? Thunder, Shadow, River, Wind, and Sky?
Someone should host a map about silverspirit/stream and breezespirit/pelt contrasting their lives showing how different methods of being raised changes their future. They were both born into similar circumstances do why not. I know they're not born close to the same time but still
This is a gorgeous idea! I ight use it for my fanclan!
Badgerkit getting Badgerspirit, and Swiftpaw getting Swiftspirit when Firestar becomes leader.
Awesome! I always loved Rainwhisker, but was always annoyed with his suffix! It would be nice if he was named after his father, Whitestorm! Rainstorm sounds so much cooler.... rip.
It also makes ALOT more sense
RainWillow sounds like a name that would really stand out at that time of the series. Ya know, Willowpelt was his mother so he could have that name too.
I'd like if maybe a suffix was used for the evil cats that die? Like Brokenstar would become Brokenkit for all the kits he got killed. Tigerstar maybe becomes Tigerfox, for his evil cunning and use of brute force. Hawkfrost could be Hawklake or Hawkblood for how he bled into the lake. Basically they'd get different named based on something related to their bad doings.
i like that idea. honestly i kinda expected them to at least of had their leader names removed upon death but they didn't
although tigerfox doesn't really sound right
That way they'd never be able to forget what'd they'd done. Every time their name was uttered they'd be cruelly reminded of why they ended up there.

I like this AU~
@@LeoAnnastasia Lol. Mapleshade's could be Mapledusk, as a nod to Appledusk, or Maplekit, because everything she did was fueled by her desire of vengeance for her kits.
@@artsyfox7865
Maybe Mapleshade would end up with a more tribal name (from DotC) like, Maple's Kits, just to distinguish the difference from Brokenstar and Mapleshade
I agree that names should have more meaning, when I'm naming my characters I always try to give them meaningful suffixes! It makes it easier to name them, for one, since I have a few suffix lists I look at ;3;
Foxblaze- Fox because she's red, blaze because she's fast and powerful
Heatherdawn- Heather because her eyes are purple (fight me), dawn because she's calm and optimistic
Foxpelt and Heatherstripe would have been so boring in comparison?
ALSO I LOVE THE IDEA OF THE SPIRIT SUFFIX? It makes some things make much more sense, and some other things much sadder ow
Heathers purple eyes are valid. The cats are fictional it's time to have FUN
SableNixx I always use a suffix meaning chart whenever I name characters.
Wait srsly? Is there a place where I can get one? That would be AWESOME! (≧∇≦)
I have always found that when I give my storyworld cats names that are symbolic, like my main oc Cedarmoon, but I sometimes catch myself thinking that I should give more cats mundane names like -fur. It almost seems sad now after seeing this video that we are so much more inclined to not be as creative with names.
Same! I try to go for a more meaningful style with my names. My main oc, Doveflight, Was named after a prophecy that symbolised her.
I have an OC named Olivebranch, I said this in your server but he's deaf and has had a prophecy about him healing sickness. It causes clans to fight over him. The symbol of the olive branch is one of peace, but he brings trouble. Id go more into it if someone asks me to.
Go more into it, please.
Definitely! I want to hear some more about it!!
Tell us more!!

Interesting concept i love it.
It'd be intresting if he ends up leaving all 4 clans and becoming neutral and helping every clan when needed.
Just a little idea but I love the story!
What if Fidgetpaw was named Fidgetspinner?
*ok i'll shut up now*
When Swiftpaw died, Bluestar only cared about the newly named Lostface, so when Bluestar was asleep, Fireheart called a Clan meeting and renamed his fallen comrade Swiftspirit
She died from eating death berries, but watched over her clan and trained the next medicine cat.
wow this is... so much potential just from a new name
Wow I just realized how long this comment is
swiftpaw could have dog ears and maybe he could be able to either turn into a dog or be able to make himself look different to dogs in order to scare them.
I've always thought that traditional naming isn't very creative. My warrior OCs usually have unconventional suffixes, like mask or blaze. Great video, Nate!
Same, I have OCs( or future OCs) with suffixes like sky, eye, creek, talon, strike, and night.
The scene with Blackstar you said was so amazing which makes me love him even more, knowing he would do that!
Aw, I like the premise of this! It’s such a fun idea, and would be really easy to play around with,
Also when you talked about the uh blood clan battle with black star of how he names each and every kit, I cried just imagining that
And I think warriors did give a kit their warrior name, badger fang!
Now you've said it, I'm in LOVE with the idea of Brambleflower! I actually adore this AU
This was incredibly heart wrenching and I love the idea.
i think i would call the spirit suffix soft because most spirit's presences are comforting, or very calming.
Nate speaks is asome
"No cat alive has the suffix 'Spirit'"
Me, who has a living OC named Leopard'Spirit: 👁👄👁
I have one named Half'Spirit
(An AU clan named MoonClan is founded by a RiverClan kit /taken in by RiverClan after ShadowClan rejected them when their med recieved news from starclan that those were kits of Bright'Star and Stripe'fur (an evil leader and a med, both female and dead btw. ....BrightStar killed her then friend /med who had feelings for her but forgave the evil leader) and when they're grown up, the new clan seperates from RiverClan .Spirit replaces Star as the leader suffix and leadership is passed down by generations.
Sorry for this being so long
"And Blackstar passes out"
All I see is this big freaking ball of white flops off the stump like a wet paper towel and runningnose or littlecloud having to drag this hunk of muscle and fur into either his den or the medicine cat den
This is a really cool and unique au
That means Sweetpaw would be Sweetspirit, and I find that really beautiful
Brambleflower is now my favorite au
Nothings different but Brambleflower’s name
Dang. I love this AU, it fleshes out the stories so much and really makes the choices and actions of some characters make so much more sense, like oh my gosh, I really adore it now. :'D
Ooh, I'm super in love with this concept!
I really like this idea! Reminds me of my au where med cats are aways given "moon" as leaders are always given "star".
When Seedpaw died trying to save the Stick of the Fallen.
Oh my gosh!
Larchwing, Petalwish, And Patchdusk
Or is it Larchwish and Petalwing?
I totally agree with this au! I will definitely be using this in the future
I love this idea, and i think this would really improve the seiries, good job! :0
I have an oc with the name Runningzephyr, he's a WindClan cat with a rush for speed.
That is SUCH a cool name

Hey, Nate.
What if deputies who die before they can become leader are given the suffix:
"Wish?"
Like:
Redwish for Redtail and Lionwish for Lionheart?
I just think Deputies who die before becoming leader need more love tbh.
This is so good! At first I thought you meant giving a warrior suffix to kits and apprentices just for laughs, but this is something completely new! I love this!
You know what you just need to write the books. Your AUs are literally perfect.
I’ve just changed part of my oc’s backstory, slightly- also what if instead of ‘spirit.’ Which is amazing and I think would work well for Swiftpaw, it could have something to do with their personality or the way they died, but anyway..)
I have an oc who was killed as an apprentice during a battle, her mother, SnowPetal, demands a ceremony for her daughter and the leader, Rowanstar, names her ‘BlueBlaze.’ As she was an ambitious, mischievous and rebellious apprentice who ‘Blazed.’ Through the battle until her last breath.
Ooommmggg I love your au’s! Just become an author for warriors already!!
This au is surprisingly beautiful and it makes me so happy to know this exists in an au
Fallen leaves never became his equivalent of a warrior, this concept could explain one idea how he is stuck in the tunnels and unable to go be with his ancestors
Also I would make the suffix leaves as a reminder of fallen leaves lost in the tunnels for the rest of eternity.
I love this theory! It's so sweet, like a real send-off, and I love your examples given.
Oh my starclan you described this so well I could just imagine it....tadpoleriver shall liver forever...
brambleflower actually sounds really nice! plus i think it fits him better
I love this idea so much, Erin really should've tought more about the names and this is a perfect idea
I'm watching it again because that part with Blackstar and Speckletail had me close to tears.
now i can’t stop thinking about ravenpaw. he would definitely add a really cool spin onto this AU, with him denying his warrior name or spirit in ravenpaw’s farewell.
and, let’s not forget leafpool’s kits. maybe when she had jaykit, she thought he was going to die, and silently started to call him jayspirit. but, was appalled and relieved when he survived?
gosh, i love this AU so much!
woah! I never thought of that :0
Nate, I’d LOVE to see a video on the starclan judge theory, because ever since I heard of it I’ve been intrigued! Love ya :>
YES use the script
Also, I remember how a while ago, one of my friends' oc was named Moonwhisp and I love that suffix 💙
And use fluffy more as a prefix :D
I like the Breezespirit AU! I also like to think that Bluestar whispered the name “Brightspirit” when Brightheart was brought into the camp after the fight with the dogs, because she was afraid her actions would cause the death of another apprentice.
YES PLEASE GIVE ME THIS AU PLEASE
I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE
Just- the brainstorms you gave me
Blackstar giving all those lost kits and apprentices a ceremony finally, i imagine in that moment all the parents of these kits who have also died get reunited with their kits thanks to Blackstar doing something that Shadowclan didnt do for a long time.
The moment of Snowkit dying, would make Brightpaws and Swiftpaws motivation MORE then just wanting to be warriors, the moment where Cloudtail also asks Firestar to also give Swiftpaw a ceremony when Lostface gets turned into Brighheart-
just, i would cry...
Oml these au broke my heart
I love this idea. Would you mind if I use these ideas?
Absolutely! Go nuts
@@Draikinator thank you! This would be very useful!
The part about Blackstar naming every single kit or apprentice hurt by his previous tyrants is something that gives me so much life.
Thanks for making me cry
I think my favorite naming system is in Tailchaser's Song due to there being 3 names for a cat (face name, tail name, and heart name), the face name being given to a kitten at birth, the tail name given to the cat as the age, and can be changed when the cat wants to. The heart name is given when a cat finds themselves, typically after a long soul searching type journey. The heart name is only shared with the closest of cats, Roofshadow telling Tailchaser hers before the face off against Grizraz Hearteater. I just think Tailchaser's Song did an amazing job in the field of suffix and prefix naming.
Sneezecloud is one of my favorite names.
Holy shitttt this is such a great concept and I love it omg
spirit or soul would likely work well for that idea yeah :0
this is so much more interesting
I think this is a really cool idea! Just imagine the scenes that could be made with this detail.

I almost cried listening to this, so yes. Emotions.
