- Even in my early thirties, I am able to see just how fast time goes by, and how quickly we can be left behind. The world is progressing at such a rate that it is nearly impossible to keep up. Progress and technology is important, I do believe that, but the abilities our predecessors had is quickly becoming a lost art. Hunting, trapping, farming and living off the land, are all skills that should be highly valued, but are often found at the bottom of the priority list. Growing up in a remote small town, I was fortunate to learn the value of some of these skills, but unfortunately I don't posses many of them myself, though I do hope to learn and I always appreciate the opportunity to sit and talk with someone like Stuart.
I am happy I had the time to fit in a couple more adventures around my hometown, but I am so excited to finally be northbound and traveling again. I think it is so important to step out of your comfort zone as often as possible, because the less you do it the harder it becomes. I notice that the beginning of each travel season, I am quite apprehensive to get too far from the shop. It is not until I finally take the leap and put home in the rearview that I finally feel the freedom of the travel life, and quickly the confidence sets in again. These full season adventures take me far from civilization, and it is hard not to over plan, but rarely is there a problem that can't be solved with a bit of thinking and a basic set of tools.
The first leg north is a big one, but necessary because we have a lot of miles to cover this season, and traveling and filming takes a lot of time. The goal was Prince Rupert, but in typical Destination Adventure fashion, we got side tracked by an adventure opportunity. Having Emi join this season bring a whole new level of excitement for me, because I get to share my favourite places with her, and places that few people ever get to see. The Exchamsiks river is a beautiful view from the road, but getting to go up river and see the waterfalls and untouched landscape is an experience that can't be explained with words. I am so thankful to have this opportunity in my life to travel, and it has been an incredible adventure so far, but the highlight of course has been the ability to share it. Sharing it with all of you, and now with Emi, my journey seems to serve a real purpose. Thank you all for making that possible for me. This may just seem like a silly UA-cam channel to many, but for me it is the culmination of my life's work, and I can't wait to see where it will continue to take us all.

Who else likes Dustin's videos when you first start watching, just knowing it's going to be worth it!
Always throw a like before it even starts
Much appreciated. 😊
Love everything he does
"If he hadn't slipped in my Shit he probably would have caught me" Best line ever. Hands down!! I wait for your videos each week always beautiful veiws and awesome places and interesting people.
We are new here and we LOVE HIM.... AND all his adventures. We are in Oregon and are talking about a trip up north soon before I can't go( health issues)....watching Dustin makes so excited to our butts out there!❤
"if he wasn't slipping on my shit he would caught me" my god can't stop 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂 ended me
I hadn't heard that one before, had me laughing.
That was awesome 😂
That has been the line I’ve heard in any video! LOL.
Best line ever! Classic!
I knew the man who owned and lived in the now abandoned property featured here. We lived a little further east from there. He was eccentric, but also very kind. He was a true mountain man. I used to see him around Williams Lake now and again, and he always had a big smile and some kind words for me.😅. In my mid teens he gave me a puppy from a litter his dog had. It's a little tough seeing his property now, absent of the geese and such he kept. It was a very lively place every time the school bus stopped there or when we'd drive by.
This is nice to read, thank you for a personal touch to it. I think he would have been a great one to interview. 😊
Scrolling through movies, documentaries on regular TV and nothing compares to the quality of this channel !
🤘🏻much appreciated, thank you.
I really look forward to Saturday mornings. A Destination Adventure video is a great way to start the weekend.
Thank you very much. 😊
Have to agree %100
Dustin having lunch in a t shirt....Emmy bundled up like Ralphie on Christmas story.
The BC department of Tourism owes you big for highlighting these gorgeous places !!
Would be a great partnership. I’ve reached out lots, but no response. 🤷🏻
I for one would not want to see you partner with the government. Your free spirit would lose its edge working with the government and that would be a shame.
@@paulbryce492 polititians don't care and never will
@@paulbryce492 yes and his videos would probably be censored , so that best line ever would be edited out
I literally just dropped off a 26’ uhaul in Houston and now laying in bed on the south bank area south of Burns Lake.
The sidebar about the gun-collecting, privacy-loving gentleman who lost his tussle with a griz is exactly why I sub'd your channel. Pure gold. You are an excellent videographer, my friend!
Every time I see a new episode get posted, I make the time to actually watch it all the way through! Definitely worth the time!
I appreciate that very much, they’re meant to be seen start to finish. :)
@@Destination_Adventure As a nature lover and beginner adventurer, I really love your videos and the effort you put into making the most of every moment!
Every time I think the scenery can’t get any better, the next video blows my mind. The grizzly bear story about slipping on his shit just made me laugh so much 🤣 thanks again for taking us along on your adventures 👍
I absolutely love when you bring on a local for some additional storytelling.
The world needs destination adventure like therapy Thank you again
😊
Thank you for the views and the music. Your videos are so relaxing without drama. Your editing is uncanny and mesmerizing. Thanks for all you do!!
Thank you
Best part of Saturday. Like Saturday morning cartoons !! Thanks as always
Woke up feeling like crap, until I remembered that today is DA day. Thanks for the cheer and positive vibes Dustin. I hope Emmi shared her wine with you!
😊
Glad Emi is great company, enjoy her giggles. Puts an extra quick step in your demeanor. Love your show, its my number one. Love the humor.
I had to work on Saturday so I’m just getting to the video here Sunday morning. Coffee in hand. Time to enjoy a Destination Adventure production! That gentleman has incredible foresight. Buying that 50 acre property to preserve his view to prevent encroachment from “urban creep”. Very smart.
Absolutely love when you share the history of a location, double when you give us an interview with a local. As far as I'm concerned, they're the best!
Hole in the wall!
I spent many days fishing with my father in the now-closed campground on the other side of the river.
At 13 years old, a friend and I, were dropped out there by our mothers. He had moved to Terrace that year and I was in Rupert. We had a complete weekend of freedom and camped on the Skeena side of the highway. Who would let their kids do that today?
Yes, we got up to shenanigans. We were 13 years old after all. That story has to be shared in the company of others as it requires some acting. LOL. The memories are still so vivid in my mind.
Thanks for bringing us along, as always, and welcome to my home. Looking forward to more videos as you make your way.
Cheers!
My family is from the Pyrenees. I always love coming across ruins when visiting the remaining family there. Your channel does so much to remind me of another time, another life, a world of beauty. Thank you for your channel.
My dog, Sage, is from the Pyrenees. She is Great!
Yeeeeesssss. I love his videos and re-lay them over and over !
Great to see that you've got a travel partner now. As much fun as it is exploring on your own, there is a certain feeling of joy that comes with sharing new experiences with others. Have fun you two!
Aye!
And cute too
Thx again for the breath taking views, great music and joyeous adventures! Thx Emi (sp?) for allowing us to share your time with Dustin!
What a great documentary. I was feeling very depressed until I watched this. It not only made me laugh but is full of beautiful scenery. I especially liked the ancient petroglyphs! Thanks!
Yep “ if he wasn’t slipping in my “ is definitely one to keep handy 😂😂😂
Thanks brother 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤟🏼🤙🏼🖖🏼
BC is beautiful, thanks for sharing the scenery with us.
Another Beaut - love the 'subtle' shots - snake on the road, drone shot of train with your rig in the background. Majestic scenery is easy, shot composition of minutiae takes forethought. Nicely done.
Thank you😊
Every Saturday morning, I look forward to enjoying your video with my morning coffee Dustin. Thank you for yet again another enjoyable video. Safe travels to both of you.
You are not only gifted but blessed in your travels. I'm grinning from ear to ear following along the trails, some new, some old. Eleven p.m. and off we go snuggled up in this land locked bedroom in Eastern Alberta awaiting whats around the next curve in the roadway. Thanks again Dustin. Cheers.
Good morning guys! Thanks again for another great kick start to a Saturday morning, fantastic scenery and we are looking forward to next Saturdays Destination Adventure, stay safe 👍🇨🇦
Thanks for the adventure, thank you Coutts and Mark, from Money Pit Boating for bringing me here.
I love the stories of real people, and that was a great one! Beautiful scenery as always. Thanks for taking us along!
Well put, and I agree!
Another great one Dustin. I quit getting notifications of new videos and got a few behind. I enjoyed catching up and manually refreshed the bell again. Never wanna miss one!!! Thanks bud!!!
Great video friend thanks again and please keep the great videos coming friend. From Scotland 😊🎉
Haha! They bought the land to keep their view! That’s wonderful! Another great video and such beautiful places! That food looked good too!
Wholesome people like Dustin, and Timmy from truck house life, are rare these days
Dustin, hi from Calgary another winner all round. Its a very special talent to be able to show us what you do, talk with who you do all while retaining the privacy of others and openly ask other adventurers to respect private property. Your body of work is shows why traditional cable tv crap is quickly becoming a dinosaur. Thanks and see you next week.
Thank you very much. 😊
I actually play your videos in the background when I'm busy at work on my computer - I find the drone shots and music extremely focusing yet calming for me.
You knocked another home run out of the park with a sensational video 👍 thank you
It’s really good to hear from people like Stewart… May he be one of the funniest men in Canada and makes me laugh… But it was really nice to hear what he had to say. As always Dustin thank you so much for taking me with… Emmy looks like she’s having a good time so far good start. I’ll be looking for you to next Saturday in the meantime have a good time…… Stay safe❤
Choreography is second to none!
Well done Dustin. I enjoyed that episode.
Even thou you never made it very far in the boat you still are making memories to last a life time that most people will never be able to do and having a cute girl along makes it even better to share those memories with. Keep them coming so i can ride along and enjoy the beautiful views the drone shots are great a whole new look at things big beautiful county we live in stay safe & happy travels.
Love this clip . Great stories and outstanding music. Well done Dustin.
Seldom seen scenery! Thank you very much. Yours has become my favorite YT channel.
The wine bottle in the chair, heck ya .
Love your channel
Welcome to my backyard! It's always fun seeing you enjoy the Northwest Coast.
I look forward to your episodes. Thank you for sharing Dustin!
Wow, I started watching this randomly and thought that is Destination Adventures Dodge Ram camper and boat! Then Im like, It is his channel: and I’m Australian! Great content, and love the Ford Canadian Blitz from last episode!
the old guy's narration was great and your photography even better. Gramma Candy
I'm excited to see what you'll be up to next in this beautiful part of the world. Spotted that unmistakable rig in Rupert yesterday. Good to see you supporting local businesses on the way to your next adventure!
Emi has the best seat of all time along with a nice bottle of white wine!! Amazing and epic per usual and this is only the beginning!!💕💕👍😊😊
Loved the interview! The bear story was hilarious 😂. The panel van at the abandoned property would make a cool resto work truck... had to watch that part a couple times. Looking forward to the rest of this adventure.
Dustin you are SO BLESSED ,,, Stay HEALTHY
Emi is so cute. You guys look good together. How exciting it is to see the adventures to come. I am glad weather is getting better here so I myself can get out and explore.
Love seeing Emmy here great thing Dustin has her to enjoy these adventures
Another great video Dustin. I really enjoyed listening about the history of Horsefly and as usual your cinematography was outstanding.
This is one of your best Dustin. Your music choices are always an eclectic mix and this video gets an A++ from me. Thanks for inviting us along for the ride.
Dustin, I always love everything about your videos. But today..one of my favorite parts..was the close captions saying "Applause" when there was a waterfall 😂 So..bravo. The waterfalls are applauding you guys and your adventure 🤗
Destination Adventure & The Story Till Now, have the best cinematography on youtube. Another Fantastic Adventure Dustin. Thank you
As always, stunning videography and excellent story-telling with a healthy dose of humor! So glad you guys could finally get on the road and get to just enjoying the adventure! Thanks for taking us along for the ride! Be safe and see ya next time!
Dustin, your videos never disappoint. Awesome work. Love your adventures.. ❤
Another great day with Destination Adventure.
Thanks for a beautiful morning travel with you and your travel companion.
Your videos are top shelf! Just get better and better! Always a welcome adventure!
Saw your rig in Prince Rupert, welcome back to our area. Thanks for the laugh and another great adventure.
Such a great video with fantastic drone footage. I can just imagine the stories that Emily is going to have when she returns to civilization in Japan. The tales of unimaginable experiences with the wild, tattooed, Canadian, in the perilous wilderness of the Canadian North. Good thing there is video evidence to prove her incredulous stories.😅😂😉
Wonderful interview…. And Emi’s smile and laugh are the Best!
I have followed your channel for some time, and I always find myself with a smile on my face so thanks for that. You have elevated your editing game to the next level, really.
Thank you😊
waterfall shot @24:30... BRO. One of the cooler non man made falls ive seen. DA videos are always the best videos.
なんて素晴らしいビデオなんだ!土曜日がDestination Aventureで始まるのはいつもとても嬉しい。ありがとうございました。
Always enjoy traveling with you, Dustin.
Another amazing video. I am so glad that this season you are not traveling alone, but have Emi with you as your sidekick. Again the beauty of God's creation amazes me. Thank you for sharing places with us that we would never see unless you did. Stay safe and God bless you from Minnesota!
Glad to see you avoiding the fires . PR western route is Amazing always Duster . Thanks for sharing the Trapper and we looked for that house . Never found it for sure but it looked like a place we passed . Stay Safe U2 .
Absolutely beautiful footage. When you and M stopped for lunch and had the drone filming, the small water fall you filmed up to the top . It appeared the water had to run uphill in a couple of spots. I had to go back and watch it several times and it was messing with brain. Oh and these are not silly videos ! I believe they will be around long after you are gone. They are some of the best footage I have ever seen of the areas you venture out to. I look forward to viewing them and get excited as if I am going to the movies.
Another Awesome trip ! Great stores & beautiful views :) I traveled all around there then north to the Yukon back in 2005 it was an awesome trip that i want to do again soon :) Loved Rupert but loved the Cassiar highway so much more,
Morristown is Morristown! 😂 it’s a cultural phenomenon! Saw a house on fire there, and they just let it burn as the nearest available fire truck had to come from Terrace! Stood there and enjoyed the warmth! Enjoy the tunes you’re listening to, my music library now has a “Destination Adventure “ playlist! Would enjoy bumping into you on a trip! Hope your lady(forgive me for not catching her name , she’s a sweetheart) friend falls in love with Canada! Cheers 🍻
This is a no shit channel (unless you're being chased by a grizzly) love it!!
Love the Exchamsix tour! You guys sure know how to picnic, including 🍷.
Thank you Dustin and Emi for another great adventure, it’s the best thing of my Saturday morning
I used to live up in kitimat but live in a big city now and i really love these videos its like a visit back there
Damn I wish these videos were longer. Thanks for sharing.
Another amazing video. When I hear a video start out with commentary, I stop what I’m doing so I can listen to the guy talk. I love the interviews and hearing their stories.
Keep it up Dustin!
Great opening interview, Dustin. What a fantastic character. The still water gods were shining down on you this episode. Man, you got some beautiful flat water shots in there.
I was thinking, as you pass through these communities, you could work on a local improvement project. For Morristown, now Witset, you could work on a salmon fitness program, that would help them with the rapids. Or maybe do it down river, so the fish are prepared. There would probably be a whole bunch of government grant money available to start a school for the fish…
Awesome filming of the waterfall. Nice to see Emi smiling. I still cant stop laughing about the Grizzly chase.
Dustin, smooth like Tennessee whisky! Getting it done again!
Interviews with the locals are very welcoming
Love this channel!
Mesmerizing. Sucks you right in with those drone shots. Incredible beauty.
Hi Emmy! Dustin, another great video as always!
Double!? Heck yeah!Get dat food! Hi Emi! You look to be having fun! He should make you roll at least once every day from laughter! Love Y'all
Beautiful, breathtaking footage. I always enjoy your stories and listening to Stuart, a brave man!
Thank you for your video.
I attended fish and game banquets in Horsefly late 60s to 1975 when I moved to the Yukon. I've hunted the Horsefly area during those years. Many fond memories of Horsefly. Cheers
Pretty jealous vlogger here …
Spent so much time growing up in the Prince Rupert, travelling all these routes, you get my memories flowing. Thanks Dustin!
Exchamsiks is a fav boating spot of ours! We've had many fires along the many banks on the river. Thanks for sharing once again! Looking forward to your adventures north this summer :)
Love the video and music ❤😂👍🥰😁✌️👋👌🙌👍👍👍
Love seeing the footage of Smithers!!
Thanks so much Dustin, great video your north country is beautiful
Once again your interview style is just a story telling marvel especially how you mix in your one of kind amazing videography telling an another part of the same story. You are truly talented. Also taking the time to learn the history of these places you visit makes your channel unlike any other. The last thing I will say is the fact you do all this by yourself and not with state of the art equipment says a lot about your ability and skill. Keep on trucking and storytelling
Thank you very much. 😊
Normally I’m grumpy over waiting for a vid, but… oh wow… this one was eye candy and worth it. . So much to soak in and reflect on. Loved that waterfall sequence and river run ! Safe travels you two. 🌲🤙
p.s. I’ve seen these inflatables with slick bottoms, from New Zealand that look like they are just what you need to scoot up rivers.
It's all so beautiful. Thank you. ❤
