A few details I missed in the video: the SmartTag uses a replaceable battery that will last around 280 days before it needs to be replaced. It is a 2032 battery which cost around $3 each. And this is a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) tracker, meaning it does not run on GPS but rather sends signals to nearby Galaxy devices to determine its location on the SmartThings Find app. If a Galaxy Device is within 130 yards of the SmartTag, it will show up on the map even if you're miles away from your tracker. What are your thoughts on the Galaxy SmartTag? You can get one here if you're interested ➡ shop-links.co/1729415743516909541 Thanks for watching!
My dog got out and I didn't realize it until later. She was wearing the Samsung Smart Tag. We found her about 1 1/2 miles away. It took us right to her. I've since purchased them for all of my pets, including my cats. Pinpoints the exact address in my neighborhood where they are at. Incredible!
How? Does smart tag comes with sim card to update its GPS location online? Because 1.5 miles seems a bit far for Bluetooth or wifi connection. 🤔 I didn't know they have sim slots.
So these have been around for more than 3 months and no big UA-camrs have covered these? And now they're all making videos about AirTags even though they're both pretty much the same thing.
I think the smartest thing that Samsung can do is to have it work with iOS and other Androids as well. It will open up their buyers market for not only their SmartTag but have people switch over to their phones too. People with iOS can also have the option of buying the SmartTags and not just be stuck with the pretty but not as good Apple AirTag.

Or when you're in a loud environment like a concert/bar/club where you are likely to lose your valuables and won't be able to hear it
The tracker only works close proximity
