Not sure why its qualified as boring. I mean, do you need to do 200mph for you to have on a motorcycle?
No only that it a cruiser you ride it a speed for relaxing and enjoying the view

In your opinion is the Rebel 1100 less boring? Or not boring at all compared to the 500?
None of them are boring in a negative sense. They are just simple. But yes the 1100 is definitely more exciting but also more expensive.

I am not buying how the 500cc parallel twin cruiser with 45 HP is more popular! What are the demographics, location and most importantly the credible source for this claim?
The claim comes from the analysis of units available/sold across 3 major websites around the globe: CycleTrader in the US, Auto trader in the UK, Bikewale in India. If you filter for various Rebels, the 500 is available for sale in the highest units compared to the 300 and 1100 indicating its popularity. Great question and thanks for watching!
Simple
The 500 series is enough power to get people moving, has 2 cylinders vs the 300, still gets excellent fuel economy, is A2 compliant(very much neede in the EU), cheap on insurance and costs a lot less than the 1100, while being not that much more than the 300
It's a sweet spot for many ppl, that just want A motorcycle, that happens to be cruiser style
The problem with 300 version is so awkward. At least in East/Southeast Asia here we have the 250cc version, which qualifies as a small bike with NO inspection, lower tax and low insurances. 300cc engine doesn't have that discount.
The 500 just more nimble easy to drive and fun
It’s successful because of how cheap it is. That’s the only reason
Same with bikes like the Super Meteor 650 from RE, except that bike looks good.
Cheap to buy, cheap to maintain, and doesn’t look bad!
It's also successful because it's a solid bike. Yes, it's cheap to buy, but also cheap to maintain and cheap to modify, there's a ton of things out there to give it your own look most at very little cost. I've had my 2023 for a year now, and not a single issue with it.
The only thing boring about these bikes is the complete lack of color. Somehow, Honda managed to pull off a completely sterile look with all black. The only color on these bikes is the tank, and even that is black on this one lol. They also have a weird look/feel on them that is just cheap. Not cheaply made, just cheap looking.
They're apeing the fxdls colour scheme but in plastic. Doesn't work.
The color is kind of interesting from up close. It has metallic flakes that shine under the sunlight. Kind of cool but yeah overall the colors are limited each model year.
I would think it would be popular. Not a very good looking bike. I would think the any with a DCT would be the most popular
