Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception. It was praised for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was also criticized for its short and shallow single-player campaign mode, and for its numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success
Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle.
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire extinguisher to fill the room with obscuring clouds, car alarms going off when stepped on, metal detectors going off once passed through, or cutting the power in a room to reduce others' visibility.[9][10]
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conquest, Domination and Rush; while adding two new game modes called Obliteration and Defuse, along with traditional game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.[12][13]
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The Engineer kit uses PDWs, and carbines are available to all kits. The support kit has access to the new remote mortar and the XM25 allowing for indirect suppressive fire. The Recon kit is now more mobile and is able to equip carbines, designated marksman rifles (DMRs), and C4. Sniping mechanics also give with the ability to zero in your sights (set an aiming distance), and equip more optics and accessories than previous Battlefield games. The Recon kit is still able to utilize the MAV, T-UGS, and the Radio Beacon.[14][15][16][17]
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.

I’d love to see way more BF4 and even 3 content. It’s just way more entertaining imo, knowing there’s a much higher skill ceiling.

@@bigza5097 The attack chopper is the littlebird use to be overpower with the lock on painter plus guided missile but now its in the copilots so if used properly the littlebird could almost a op if pilot and co are working together. But helis in bf3 don't do barrel rolls ect and the attack choppers tend to go to orbit since the gunners got unlim ammo. But with all the lock on crap in bf4 there is alot less in bf3 heatseekers, stingers and painted guided missles/javs and javs can one shot helis in bf3 unlike bf4 which was a stupid nerf
Its sad how much more detalied these maps are. Im refering to the debris on the ground, burning rubble etc etc. It feels and looks like a battle have taken place. Unlike those clean streets that are in 2042.

Always amazes me how good dude is in air. I'm relatively new to bf4 and I just can't get good at planes or helis. On ground by foot or in tanks i'm great
In the weirdest way, playing either infantry with MANPADS or playing SPAA are a good way to learn how to play helos by watching them and their flight paths/evasion routes. Then it's down to practicing them.
Use the momentum to aim its really that simple

It don’t matter if a vehicle is good or bad. You can turn anything into a overpowered weapon. Just need the right user.
Nice game play. Would be nice to see some attack heli game play btw a tip if you are on the gunner for the attack heli. Did you know that if you place an aa mine anywhere, if you use a TV missile onto enemy aircraft the mine will lock onto the aircraft that you used the TV missile on. It's a good finisher if not it's gives you an advantage because it will mess with their countermeasures

@@LB-np5zv yea you can turn a aa mine into an portable active radar missile by shooting a TV missile and the mine will hit the aircraft. You can place the aa mine anywhere to do it

@@northsideshorty downside is that it's a single use strat but you may have the pilot to go support and throw an ammo box on top of the heli to resupply aa mines to repeat the process once your done repairing

I wasn't great in it, but I loved flying the little bird in Bf4. If I could get an engy or two for reps, it was hard to bring me down.

This subject is what floored me when flying the little bird in BF2042. The BF4 version was nearly perfect in every way. Fluid-like. The little bird in BF2042 flies like a concrete block. You mean they couldn't just copy what had been done nearly 10 years ago?

I have 400 hours on 2042 and while rewatching BF 4 shows me how much better it was. Even the graphics are not that much better in 2042. bF 4 was way ahead it’s time.

I know I fly jets a lot so u might have noticed that there is an invisible wall that will flip anything front ways and destroy the vehicle flying low skimming the surface

dude, i'd kill for your connection. my ping is constantly around 100. u seem to only tickle them and they fall. my miniguns are halfway melting before the crop even starts to feel a slight tickle themselves. and i always use friggin' bf.
nice gameplay tho especially enjoy your jet content. would be nice if you could make an in depth guide on attack jet df. i struggle to keep the ideal turn radius even when avoiding vertical loops. any tips are welcome (besides practice).

BF2042 shadow nerfed vehicles. Takes multiple direct hits to take out an infantrymen. I feel like that was a lazy way to fix things.

After playing over 400 hours of bf4, I have hardly garnered more than 30 kills in the scout. Now that 2042 is basically dead, looks to me like a great opportunity to finally learn :)

I think BF4 had not only the most fun but the most balanced Scout helis. 2042 made the little bird or the “Nightbird” insane by giving it hydra missiles and nerfing the standard minigun/cannon

The flight mechanics confuse me… cause in a lot of parts your still tilting towards a direction but slowing down considerably.
Throttling makes the difference, letting go of the throttle means you mostly continue in the same direction till you press w again in another direction
Where you tilt is where you will glide, if you want to slow down during a side strafe reduce tilt or swap to the other side
God flying was so forgiving in BF4 lol, you could smack into the ground and be fine and the mini guns were so crisp.
its way harder to course correct tho, you actually build momentum in bf4. But yeah you could take a hit from the ground sometimes, which is honestly just more fun and makes more sense in most cases (except when you deadass fly ur jet into a tree and it just bounces off).
@@beric0bartman oh for sure, 2042 they are super zippy but I hate that if I hit a pole or tree just right it’s game over, I have my likes and dislikes for both games.
There's a massive difference between the AH and Z11. Z11 blows up the moment you even scrape the tail while AH can take some hits.
To be fair, it's very forgiving in 2042 also, you just can't hit the ground with the landing gear nearly as hard.
The landing gear in BF4 actually stops all damage and many obstacles just get ignored (but not all of them). Like many of the light poles in Dawnbreaker get ignored but the ones in the same map that are out of bounds will blow you up. Also the Z11 explodes as soon as you touch the ground too hard or with your tail, many servers just remove the Z11 because its inferior and less fun. If the server still has a Z11, many Tryhards will main the LB and will not even touch the Z11. They will Team Switch to US to never Play CN/RU or play another vehicle/Change server. BF4 is filled with "LB only" Pilots. Same breed as people that only use the Viper or F35 to have the advantage. The physics in BF4 are plain better so yours isnt even a valid opinion, in 2042 you can literally shoot infantry with hydras while pointing the nose down like a candle and the gravity will not pull you down. Try to do a candle in BF4 and look how fast you fall down. Its also all about your minigun aim, hydras make 2042s gameplay too easy, every fucker is a pro pilot there. BF4 also has far more dangerous Counters...Jets, MAA, AH, Ucavs, AA mines, Iglas, Glitched Iglas...all those will fuck you up in a matter of seconds. What counters do you have in 2042 apart from other helis and Stingers? Nothing.

i loved bf for all the variety, the Teamplay and the skill you needed. But in fact all of this is gone.
Battlefield 4 to be honest had a lot of bad reputation when it first came out exactly how Battlefield 2042 is right now. A lot of people are too immediate on bashing something they barely understand which is impatient. If people would understand that updates are not immediate. I'll admit that you'd expect them to be on some of the bugs, But Battlefield 4 is a Broken Bird Masterpiece.
Seeing that many rocket launchers in bf4, makes me wanna uninstall bf 2042. Im amazed as how they cant manage to literally copy a gun from an old game, also the scoreboard, and this is just meaningless thigs but still, fucking amazing

Bf4 not as fun on consoll pls4 is no fov and yepp is just fast as it can be on pc! I lost my Bf Gaming love. Is just is over. Cant play bf5, bf1 or bf2042 and is just everytime i try im so bad, is like i lost my skills, 2042 you killed my night pleasure of entertaing

I hope you are joking. Scout Heli in Hardcore is even easier since you dont even need miniguns. You equip 30mm and you will kill enemy pilots in the pit with splash damage and also kill infantry with just splash damage. When I shortly played on PS3 before switching to 4, there was a guy, top of my country's leaderboard that just played Hardcore with 30mm...he was dogshit at the game but he had the highest kill count. Highest skill ceiling is in Core, Hardcore is for boomers who cant aim.
@@IlNamelessKinglI Well, you dont have the doritos to shot at in HC , you actually have to see them to shot them. i dispice the doritofield in SC as you never know if your just a big triangle on the screen or not. I started to play bf2 in the good old days, were there were no such thing as 3d spotting and there were friendly fire as well, the way its supposed to be, you use the map and thats it! but nooo they had to put in doritos to make it easy to use heli jet and whatnot. No i stand by my word, SC are way easier from jet and heli to get the big streaks. but yeah , if you are used to HC it is hard to play SC against a skilled pilot cause your not used to use 3rd person view , and if the dudes your fighting is, then it can be difficult. but if therer are no skillers in the air its way easier.
@@sohosohigh You need to see them first but once you see them, they go down more easily since few shots will kill them. There is no reason to use the skilled miniguns in HC when you can use the 30mm that will trivialize every Dogfight and destroy infantry. The DF 1vs1 is not a matter of skill, its a matter of who shoots first with the 30mm and who dies in the cockpit first. You are talking like you shoot infantry from miles when you are in a Scout Heli. Doritos or no Doritos, you still gotta be close to the enemies, so close the Doritos dont actually matter most of the time. I dont need spotting to kill people in Flood Zone (or many other maps) in a Scout Heli because people are close. Not having Spotting doesnt matter in Hardcore since killing enemies is far easier. With how OP Zoom and Thermals are, even farming with the AH is not an issue in Hardcore. Btw, the best "Softcore" players played Clan Wars against the best "Hardcore" ones and the HC ones got destroyed, the skill ceiling is too high for the boomers to handle lmao. Only Jets are harder to use because of no health regen and you cant casually land to repair your vehicle. All the other vehicles are easier to use since the infantry barely has any chance to react to the power of the vehicles. A badly placed Tank shot will 100% kill an infantry in HC but give you an hitmarker in Normal. You gotta have better and sharper aim on Normal to survive. On Normal you gotta have Anti infantry weapons such as the HMG or Canister to defend yourself, in HC there is no reason to use them, Staff and AP will kill both infantry and vehicles, no skill required either.

@@IlNamelessKinglI cross-mapping is one of the most important skills to have in a scout heli and an absolute necessity for when you have to use a z-11. On flood zone especially, you need to be able to snipe CN spawn stinger crews or rooftop US campers if you are on CN side.
