I need this upgrade in my life …the sound isn’t great at in the mini’s and BMWs base systems…I use a Ford Focus Van for work and the sound system is 1000% better than in my beloved Mini …I deffo need to upgrade
I have a 19 f57 jcw with the hk system.. At full volume, especially when playing music from the phone via Bluetooth it can be a little distorted. Also, as loud as it is, I would love it to be louder and bassier if there's such a word. Can you tell me.. Do you have both the speaker upgrade and the underseat bass upgrade? And do you notice the volume being significantly louder?
I want to do the install but I am only doing it with an amp as it needs clean powwr and the DAC in the HK headunit is meh. I contacted Bavsound and the Match UP7 amp from Audiotec Fischer was recommended by them. Also, I am more concerned with how the mid-bass frequencies sound versus outright volume. There are big gaps in the factory setup and it wounds my soul
The least important part of a good sounding audio system is the speakers...its the source that counts. The original signal , the head end ..its stunning how people have no idea . Shit in shit out ..no matter what the speakers.
@@TheMINIac improvement maybe ...but I design and own a very established hi end audio company and I know that most cables and most connectors with most speakers cannot improve a head unit that does not do a good job ...harmen kardon is not shit for sure but it's not the best either, fact is if your happy that's all that counts
@@TheMINIac indeed this might be interesting , of course the subjective nature of sound and the nightmare environment of a car make system matching vehicle dependant and it's really hard unless the same car is used to compare results ..but hey it's really all about enjoyment of music lets not forget

If I don't have the stock Harmankardon stock the connection cables are inside my mini ready to connect or I've to cut a make connections?
You can get speakers for the non-HK cars.

Another speaker brand I am looking at is Audison which is plug-n-play as well and better quality but pricey kit.
