Meet our baby Southern Hairy-nosed Wombat

Melbourne Zoo’s 10 month old female Southern Hairy-nosed Wombat ‘Jindi’ has only recently left mum’s pouch. She spends most of her time in the tunnel while mum Jumunji and the others are out exploring.

The Southern has got to be my favorite variety of wombat. They are absolutely precious, especially their young. One day, I'll have to visit Australia so I can see them in real life. ☺
