- The UR824 and the UR28M both offer pristine, transparent audio quality, high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity alongside advanced technologies such as DSP-powered reverb and channel strip effects with zero-latency monitoring.
UR28M is a fantastic unit.
Anyone else think this video looks like it was filmed in the 80s? .. love it haha.... I also just purchased a UR28M! Although its 7 years old, remarkably there isn't much else on the market with 4 in/out and spdif of good quality under £400. Can't wait for it to arrive.
This is definitely going on the wish list.
fASCINATING!
I have one steinberg ur-824 is Amazing
Just wondering why the UR824 has no S/PDIF??
@ ShynAwkward : it has S/PDIF over TOSLink. Switchable in two groups (versus ADAT) via the dspMixFx software interface.
I had driver issues and solved (don't know how).
DSP mix - how to use,

Please support with video tutorials which said DSP Mix installation , UR28M with all options and Cubase key activation. Thank you.
I want the specs on that DESK and the glass stands those Yamaha monitors are sitting on!
Looks like this: www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/argosy-halo-plus-workstation/j49926000000000
Hi, it is the iDesign line from Zaor: www.zaor.de/idesign/
The stands are the MKII: www.zaor.de/idesign/isostand-mk2/
I must admit, this desk does look awesome... If I had my own studio (outside of my house) I would defo consider it!
a side from the interfaces, i want that I-Desk so bad
look at thomann. I have seen it there in Black and white
hello wel i bought two UR824 and trying to connect them ... i have one licht internal that one is connected to my computer... and the other one says a/dat... now i do not see input in my pc from the card that is not connected via usb.... what am i doing wrong?
Hello, You need to route the analog inputs to ADAT outputs. In the DSP mix utility set the appropriate ADAT out assignment to the Analog In that you want.
If using 2 or 3 of the same unit (UR824) it should be enough just to connect them via USB to your computer and the dspMixFx will automatically find all units and add all their channels together. But I havn't tested it myself...
My device is not recognized by my computer after installed driver. But my device is working with inputs (receiving input signals). I have UR28M. My DSP says no device connected. My computer says some problem in driver installation. Please contact your dealer. Please help me for this situation.
How can this be of use with analog mixer like live band or church service.
If it's that good, why isn't he showing us how to use while mixing down a project using an analogue console for that "top" sound?
Hi, does UR28M support 6 discreet channnels? can this be used for a 5.1 system?
It does not. However you can connect a 5.1 system and monitor the ouputs going to the speakers two at the time.
I don't get it, it has no MIDI ?
+Vienreich It does have MIDI, but it doesn't have DIN I/O's. You will need to buy something like this, in order to use your older keyboards without USB: www.amazon.com/Roland-UM-ONE-MK2-MIDI-Interface/dp/B00967UN50/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1444877451&sr=8-1&keywords=roland+um-one+mk2
Yeah I got this unit and the lack of MIDI made me Think the same, but as answered already you can buy a MIDI to USB Connection (not that expensive) to connect any MIDI unit that doesnt have USB on it. Like the "Behringer MIDI foot pedal" I just bought, lol...
Does anyone know where I can purchase this desk?
I have been trying to get support to connect 2 UR824 units together to have 16 inputs. If anyone can help it would be fantastic. We plugged the optical wire in as is shown in this video, we can see the tracks but cannot activate them. Thank You.
did you get a reply... i have the same thing no signal in the meters?
does the ur28m have compresser in the dsp?
+XB1PS4 Gaming YES!
Can't use dspmixfx if using nuendo or cubase
Hello, yes you can that is the whole point with the advanced integration, you just need to load it on your main input channel.
Steinberg but than I can only hear inputs when I select "input monitoring" in cubase. Can't have inputs 'always monitoring' like with non-integrated audio interface. Workaround for this is to create duplicate tracks in cubase and always have them in monitoring mode, so for punch ins I can hear the recorded audio and audio coming into inputs
Dude, I love the UR28M, just testing it out and it's great, but please never say "rock on" again.
