Thank you very much for this video, for years we have been having issues, never really knowing what the issue was, as soon as i took it apart the amount of junk stuck inside was shocking! Saved us a expensive call out or new washing machine. Every needs to see this video! Thank you again!
Thank you, we have this exact washing machine. Was making a loud noise when draining. Us two inexperienced people managed to carry this out on our own and avoid engineer during covid. You definitely need pliers to open the metal rings. Found bunch of coins and hair clips in the sump pipe. Thanks again, very clear and we’re very grateful :)
Mate-you’re a legend! Not only have you just saved me £200 on a new washing machine, more importantly you have also go me out of the doghouse with the wife! I decided it would be a good idea to wash the mats from my car forgetting that half of them are rubberised! You guessed it! A pump and drain hose clogged chocca with rubber particles! Oops! Anyway, the how to video worked a treat and domestic harmony has been restored! Cheers mucca!
You are a lifesaver mate, saved me buying a new washing machine. Did exactly what you did and found a blooming white sports sock all mangled and torn inside. All running buttery smooth, cheers 🍻. Like and sub from me 👍🏼
I'm still able to clean the filter but that is way to difficult for me. I'm 76 and on my own. Your video was great to watch . Fancy having a man like you around the house.
Saved my bacon and my cash with this one, small bit of plastic had gotten into impeller rotor area and made it sound like broken bearings when it ran! Fished it out and its like new. Thanks mate!
Thank you so much for this. I was literally looking to buy a new washing machine as mine was not draining. Upon doing what you did I found a few colour absorbers that were totally blocking the hose. Cheers, you've saved me hundreds 😊
Couldn’t believe my luck when I happened upon this video and then i seen the washing machine is the exact same as my own… what luck. I did as instructed and now the machine is as good as new again. No problem with drainage or error messages. I also found a few euro in the pipe. My lucky day. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much I've just unblocked the pipe, which had a small sock clinging to the ball at the top of the pipe after watching this video. God bless you! I'm one happy lady!
Brilliant !! I’ve just followed these steps (although I had to tip my machine as access to the hoses was from underneath). Have removed so much gunk, cash and goodness knows what else. Thank you as I think I would have been properly ripped off if I had called someone out.
Good sir. Thank you for your video. However I feel you should have a disclaimer up for those of us that have arachnophobia and should warn us a mother*@#*ing spider can crawl out from the bottom of the panel and run up your arm causing you to want to saw your arm off and forgetting all about the washing machine problem. I am now a wimp and need to call my dad around to sort this for me 🤣 thanks for that 🤣🤣🤣
Many thanks for the clear video..great help. My washing machine got in to trouble recently...looked for handyman to fix...as you..in London they have been busy or in holidays!! Finally Iooked your video..made by job simple..all fine in 30 minutes Thanks a million..take care
Fantastic video! I had the same problem, the water could not drained out of the wash machine. When I took out the coins (30 euros!!), I tested a "Rinse" program and it was ok (before, it stopped all the time). But when I tested a normal program, it collapsed again, and the "flashing lights" appeared. Do u know what is going on?
Thanks so much for taking the. time to make and publish this video. It will surely save lots of people time ( and stress trying to find someone to come out ) all the while having no access to get a wash done. That was a stress in our household this week. A small thankyou also sent via your "Buy Me A Coffee" link in your bio for this video. I suspect I am not allowed to paste the link for that in my comment but I wanted to draw people's attention to that option.
Thanks very much, I really appreciate that. Not an easy vid to put together so glad that it's helping people like yourself. Thanks for your kind comment 👍
Thank you very much for this video You make it look easy I am worried about the tilted washing machine slipping Is there anything I could do to make it more secure so it could not slip?
You can lie it down. Try and lie it in a position where the pump is higher than the drum so if there is any water in there it wont come gushing out when you open it up.
Cheers for the video. Just used this to sort out my machine. I was close to buying a new one before I saw your video. Found a whole world of crap in there.
Just wanted to say a massive thanks for this video. Helped us out loads 2 pieces of plastic jammed in the ball that seals off to the drains causing drains smell to come back into the drum 😎 just running a wash with cleaner then hoping the smell will be gone next wash ;) on the plus side the Mrs is tidying up the underside cupboard 😂😂 about flipping time 😂😂
Thanks for this. Done the same this morning and our machine is back running. You can also take the black drain part off the front of the white pump, I found more rubbish in there too. Now running a cleaning cycle.
@@handymancraftglasgowHi buddy, I have taken it all apart, however somewhere between the piece that houses the hoses, and behind the blades is retaining water.. I worked out how to remove the cover that exposes the motor's coil, but I cannot separate the two parts... The liquid trapped behind the coil pack appears to be magnetic, but really don't think it should be there. Further troubling fact is both of the hoses are pretty clean. Having tried all you suggested, I strongly suspect hair or sludge is jamming the motor's spindle, but that is my best guess. Before I start sourcing another any suggestions 🙏👍
Thank so much, this worked like a charm. I did have to go and get a male neighbour to unscrew the filter cap as it was impossible for me to remove with my lady hands ;) the strange thing is the filter was totally clear, the machine is only about six months old so I didn’t expect much gunk but there was no foreign object in there. Thanks again 🙏
Thanku so much sir... Am searching for the video wt u done... It is very useful for us.. Nowadays in our machine smelling is found.. This video is very much useful to us.. Once again thanku so much... ☺☺
Great walkthru video had been good to jog my memory of how to get the impeller unit off the front (did this on a previous washer couldn’t remember quite how) The main black drain hose - doesn’t it have a jubilee/similar at the top where the drum drains so you can easily remove that whole hose? I’m about to tackle my latest washer as it keeps telling me to clean the filter and stuff comes out soaking although the filter is clear. Suspect a rogue sock 😂
@@handymancraftglasgow got it sorted. You could do a follow up vid, my problem was the ball sticking up in its seat, hard water bit crusty round the seal it sits against and slime from low temp washes/ soap powder residues. Clean out thoroughly in hot water and spin the ball around , seems to be good.
Really useful video, thanks!! When I checked for the non-return valve at 8:03, I found no valve in my machine. I think this is why my washer makes my clothes smell, dirty water was mixing with clean in the machine because of a blockage further down the drainage pipe. Blockage is cleared now, but I want to install the non-return valve, do you know how I can find this part online? Model is IWDC 6125
Found very little in either pipe, but dismantling the whole unit down and reassembling it seems to have worked the oracle, however maybe I originally overlooked the obvious and shut down the water supply prior to the spin drain cycle, as I thought it logical, as why do you need water for a drain cycle. Anyway now all working perfectly, but not sure if my model should have filter mesh, as it does not. 👍👍

My filter is spotless, I’ve cleaned out my pipes under the sink (which were disgusting) but my drain snake brush isn’t long enough to reach entirely the length of the pump hose, so I fear that part is rather built up. And as for the connection TO the drum….I’m not strong enough to push the machine up and have VERY limited space in my kitchen to do it. It’s so temperamental. A majority of the time when it DOES complete it leaves clothes so full of water still or even weirdly adds water back to them at the end! I’m close to just getting a new machine cos it’s driving me crazy.
Hi there , I’ve done all you have shown in the video but I still get the error code lights. I cleaned the drain pipe too. Is there anything else which could be wrong? I’m reluctant to get an engineer out (£150) when a new machine can be bought for £250. Thanks.
