the story of Suramar is undoubtedly one of the best stories told in game. from what started as a tiny arcane beacon to a full blown city siege, and each small step along the way it really is like bringing a novel to life. every small detail and side Story converging into an epic final confrontation was supremely satisfying.
I'm 120 and I completely agree. I started doing the quests for Suramar out of boredom, and quickly found myself addicted to the story and always excited for more. Once I was finished I got the same bittersweet feeling I get when a really good movie or book reaches its end, I want more!
Liadrin is a lot more diplomatic talking to the alliance player than Tyrande is talking to horde. Liadrin is like 'i'm concerned with the night elves ability to fight total war against a technically limitless enemy' and Tyrande is like 'FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUCKING HORDE'
Tyrande is shown as incompetent in WoW. Remember when Varian lectured her about strategy? The 30something Varian. Lecturing the 10.000something Tyrande.
Tyrande never showed herself as competent in leading a battle. In the war of the ancients, she inspired her people with Elune's power, but an actual military leader did the strategy. War of the Satyr, too messy to tell who besides the druids messed up. Chaos War? Well, she ended up with her people dying around her while she fled to their main forces, and she refused to acknowledge that the demons killing the outsiders as much as their own people mattered in terms of even who to focus on, letting them get killed rather than anything to get the far more destructive demons off their land. She also didn't come up with the plan on Hyjal that won the war, that was a human plan. When she got trapped behind enemy lines in Lordaeron, it was entirely her power as high priestess that kept her alive, not any clever strategy, but the raw might of Elune. Her entire experience of military command is pure shit.
+Bindair Dundat Because Tyrande is not a war leader she is a Priest, in WotA the command of the armies was on Ravencrest and then Jarod, with Malfurion, Krasus and Rhonin being those who created the Resistance ( Night Elves, Tauren, Earthen, Demigods, Dragons etc etc). Even in the Third War, the true leader of the armies was Malfurion not Tyrande. Tyrande is like Galadriel, extremely powerful, but not meant for the front lines of War...
I think the Nightborne are the best of the Allied Races. I was extremely excited about the Void Elves, because Blood Elves on the Alliance! Come on! But I quickly changed my mind, and went with the Nightborne after seeing their story. They just have the absolute best story, and the most beautiful city, and their reasoning for joining the Horde makes sense.
This is a very late comment, but thank you for this video. This was my favourite storyline in WoW, and possibly one of my favourite storylines in my personal video games' experience ever. You summed it up very well, I felt emotional living through it again.
Tyrande driving the Nightborn away. All Horde thank her. :P "And just like that, a new ship sets sail" I almost spewed my coffee on my keyboard there Nobbel! :)
I love this at 3:19. "We need a foothold. Somewhere we can keep an eye on things" "Hmm... I know! Let's go a few hundred meters up the canal! They will never find us there!"
DharkDemonBlade She never did anything wrong! She was never a bitch ok?? If your talking about the Purge of Dalaran she kinda didn't had a choice since Jaina was in charge with Dalaran back then, Sylvanas was actually planning on killing her and raise her as a powerful banshee and that's something a sister shouldn't do! She obviously wasn't gonna let her children alone, join her enemies ( The Horde besides Sylvanas because she still cares about her ), she wasn't gonna let her people the Quel'dorei to be wipe out of existence that's why we still need her! Our race is very endangered!
Very interesting stories and my new eye candy: First Arcanist Thalyssra. Moonlighting with Lady T and "gathering" her special things at her guarded abode by the beach shore. Since we will be spending a lot of time together especially feeding her mana food (need the rep to unlock the race quest).Nice vid!
In the elven languages the blood elves are called Sin'dorei, the night elves are called Kal''dorei, and the high elves are called Quel'dorei. The bad guy mentions all of them when she's addressing them as a giant hologram in her speech.
drivebypoet the joke is since he said the "high elves are there too" as a little plus to the cenário when some say "WHO" especially in all caps is to ironically say that person on this case race have usually less role in the story usually the fallow up is "exactly" as to say that why they are unknown since they have less role in the story just like the racial leader of the blood elfs
I know that the dragons were de-powered and all, but you'd think that the Bronze Dragonflight would have at least found a way to send *someone* to investigate the time distorting energies of the Nightwell. right? Or am I being silly?
I TOTES SHIP STELLAGOSA AND VALTOIS! I really do! Oh, so happy you see the ship sailing, too! But seriously, great series. Having played it through, I've been enjoynig the story greatly.
I was honestly getting so bored of WoW until I watched this. Now, I wanna hop on my Death Knight main and get Suramar completed. XD Love your vids, Nobbel! Easily more inspiring to do more of the game than the actual game itself has been for me lately.
The Trolls thing is kind of a jab at the way Night Elves live, revering nature and being called "primitive" by the other elves, which technically they are as since they are the progenitors of the other elf races so they are more basal and less evolved.
glad im still able to see the story, i havent played in months cause im busy with uni n barely have time to watch youtube videos :/ but thank you Nobbel!!!!!
Honestly, when I heard (at the time I didn't know ) Sharm's voice, I tried googling the character but found nothing. I was surprised this was done by Sharm, it's well done.
wow Sharm voiced Lyleth here?! I was just passively listening and thought it was just in-game Blizzard voice acting. I was very impressed with Lyleths VA even before I found out it was Sharm.
why did Lady Liadrin go instead Lor'themar Theron while Tyrande Whisperwind the leader of the night elf was representing the night elf, Lor'themar would have made a bigger impact as the leader of the blood elf
An elven queen who sides with the Legion, a Well's power channeled for evil, betrayals, a rebellion, the eventually destruction of the Well, and the growing of a magical tree. Where have I seen this before?
Why is Ladrin holding Quel'Delar? The only person who should actually have that sword is the player... the blade was destroyed and reforged by the player using the original hilt, so why does she have it?! 28:16
i think the blood elfs might have been at peace with being descended from trolls. after all allied with them in the horde since burning crusade might have spawned some.....realtionships
Can we get an updated version of the entire lore behind illidan, everything he did good and bad seeing as lots of his Lore has changed and some stuff has been retconned.
I actually forgot about not covering the blue dragonflight in Azsuna...thanks for reminding me! Might be a good idea to combine it with Kalec's quest for artifact skins.
Man, I was transformed as a moonkin when I did this questline - so towards the end it looked like Khadgar was getting tackled by an owlbear linebacker. It looked ridiculous, but I would not change a thing about it - if anything I should have recorded it happening.
Nope. I mean Thalyssra: "His captor is familiar to me. He is one of Aluriel's lieutenants and a skilled spell-fencer at that. You will need Silgryn's help to retrieve the key to Vanthir's prison" www.wowhead.com/quest=44754/waxing-crescent
Oh. Okay then! Sorry for trying to correct anything. It's just because at 12:45 Silgryn says he is familiar with Thoramir, and then later you said Thalyssra is familiar with him. My apologies.
"A happy little mana tree."
Bob Ross would be proud, Nobbel.

For me I dont have my AOTC for Gul'dan u.u
I'm 120 and I completely agree. I started doing the quests for Suramar out of boredom, and quickly found myself addicted to the story and always excited for more. Once I was finished I got the same bittersweet feeling I get when a really good movie or book reaches its end, I want more!

Hahahahah XD
Jackpkmn Considering the Horde do the best thing. WE KILLED THE DEMIGOD CENARIUS. VICTORY CRY! PARTY!
Tyrande is shown as incompetent in WoW. Remember when Varian lectured her about strategy? The 30something Varian. Lecturing the 10.000something Tyrande.

The girl who voiced ly'leth has an amazing voice
Its Sharm
I'm tempted to walk up to cosplayers at BlizzCon and say "An illusion! What are you hiding?"
Rest in Peace.
omg this made my day
Something's not quite right.
Well I'mma do it now that the idea is in my head
Just going to watch one more Nobbel video before bed....and it's dawn
and now to watch a few videos before bed
*And then the sun rose*
Nate Smith *DEUS VULT*
31:45 I always love that "GET DOWN MR. PRESIDENT!" action our avatar pulls with Khadgar when the time-bomb thing goes off.
perfect, was debating dropping this log, now its like i have some encouragement
thanks for regulating my bowel movement
i know, right? I mean... already exalted... why go back there other than wq cache? :P
"I will find him, preferably without being seen" Aaaand mammoth summon...
Well, to be fair, she'd disappear quite nicely behind that. Those things tend to be distracting.
I laughed harder than I thought I would hahhaaa
loving the voiceovers Nobbel :D
Happy you like it! Sharm did a brilliant job.
she did indeed, keep it up :D
It was really lovely!
Oh i knew it was her voice
Really good voiceovers indeed!
Would you look at that, it's the Orguz.
nice vid as always nobbel i am glad to be subed to such a good lore channel

"The least punctual person I have ever served" it is even more funny after u fight her and find out she is a master of time magic
PEPE?!
*PEPE IS A FASHION TREND NOW?!*
Pepe is love, Pepe is life.
*He is Pepe, lord of the birbs.*
*_Bow down to him and his glorious glory!_*
Tyrande driving the Nightborn away. All Horde thank her. :P
"And just like that, a new ship sets sail" I almost spewed my coffee on my keyboard there Nobbel! :)
You got Sharm to do Ly'leth's voice that's so awesome! DIdn't even recognize her before you told me. She's really good.
im loving the voice overed letters :) great video as always :D
I love this at 3:19.
"We need a foothold. Somewhere we can keep an eye on things"
"Hmm... I know! Let's go a few hundred meters up the canal! They will never find us there!"
So if you play Horde you save Liadrin and as Alliance you save Tyrande. It seems nobody cares about Vereesa.
Honestly after her constant bitching and her screwing up the one chance to humanize Sylvanus, I really don't care for her
DharkDemonBlade She never did anything wrong! She was never a bitch ok?? If your talking about the Purge of Dalaran she kinda didn't had a choice since Jaina was in charge with Dalaran back then, Sylvanas was actually planning on killing her and raise her as a powerful banshee and that's something a sister shouldn't do! Our race is very endangered!
Mr. Bern maybe if the High Elves will become a playable race or a sub-race we will save her instead
Vereesa is no big loss. There are 2 more Windrunner girls and both are far more interesting than her.
Bindair Dundat she is also very important!!
The Sin'dorei and Kal'dorei Alliance is so cool and awesome, it made me nerdgasm xD
Oh, and the quel'dorei is there too >_>
I also think it's cool how the elves are banding together.
WHO?
In the elven languages the blood elves are called Sin'dorei, the night elves are called Kal''dorei, and the high elves are called Quel'dorei. The bad guy mentions all of them when she's addressing them as a giant hologram in her speech.
drivebypoet the joke is since he said the "high elves are there too" as a little plus to the cenário when some say "WHO" especially in all caps is to ironically say that person on this case race have usually less role in the story usually the fallow up is "exactly" as to say that why they are unknown since they have less role in the story just like the racial leader of the blood elfs
drivebypoet if I did no really know them I would have said "who are the races you are talking about?" or would have used a more formal way of writing
Great video man! I love the Suramar story. Can't wait for the conclusion!
HA The moment i heard the voice acting for Lyleth for the recordings i KNEW youd gotten Sharm to do it.
Having played it through, I've been enjoynig the story greatly.
did nobbel just ship a dragon and a nightfallen?
Well who can blame him? When I 1st saw in game I also ship them
Did you not?
leysbians
@@thenerdbeast7375 i- she just- they...
I mean kalecgos and Jaina was a thing
Dude i look forward to these awesome lore vids!!
Great work as always love the Sharm voiceovers! Blizz needs to be using BOTH your voices for projects:)
IMO this rebellion storyline was far more interesting than anything in BfA.
I really love Sigryn just spamming his spin move over and over, so good.
This is a great lore Nobbel! *Thumbs Up!*
Night elves have no chill
A Nobbel video! Thats just what i needed to make this Sunday better!!
I was honestly getting so bored of WoW until I watched this. Now, I wanna hop on my Death Knight main and get Suramar completed. XD Love your vids, Nobbel! Easily more inspiring to do more of the game than the actual game itself has been for me lately.
good shit as always, also Hi Sharm! :D
hi :3
Thanks Nobbel for retelling these stories this way.
I always play without sounds, I though lyleth voice was the official in game voice
And here I am at 2 am watching Nobble's nice video ( as usual), and yea thanks for two awesome streams and amazing HotS game with me!
Oh my god I didn't realize that was Sharm voicing them. :D That's awesome.
You gotta love the orange bird fashion.
So trendy.
25:55
"Congratulations, you played yourself."
Unlike nightlights, blood elfs aren't stuck up and don't care much about trolls being their ancestors,so no they did not play themselves.
I love Oculeth, it's the mad scientist vibe he gives off.
Holy shit, I didn't even notice that wasn't in-game voices! She did a nice job!
Yay I’m so glad u did this one!! ❤️
It was pretty cool to see all four factions of elves unite together and march into Suramar.
Oh man I really do love part of this quest line, my thank Nobble
"They are off to make some magic on their own"
;)
1:45 "Mage portals take so long to act. With telemancy, it is like instant transmission."
This guy watched DBZ while he was in Suramar :D
Honestly, when I heard (at the time I didn't know ) Sharm's voice, I tried googling the character but found nothing. I was surprised this was done by Sharm, it's well done.
Slavic player? Good stuff slavic player
just love that arguement at 22:00
This is a good start for this. I found your earlier video pret
really nice video ! Thank you!
The news that all the Elves came together to fight a common foe made me happier than any news from last week. Step up your game reality!!
31:47
Making my way downtown
Walking fast, faces pass
And I'm homebound
Pretty cool to see the different elven factions working together.
Who in the world would dislike a Nobbel video? So.. there IS evil in the world.
wow Sharm voiced Lyleth here?!
Anyone else feel like Silgryn is about to start a How It's Made episode?
the first arcanist is by far my favorite char from legion
An elven queen who sides with the Legion, a Well's power channeled for evil, betrayals, a rebellion, the eventually destruction of the Well, and the growing of a magical tree. Where have I seen this before?
I don't know. Hopefully the Nightwell won't be setback.
the only fruit that can save the rebellion now is the fruit of elune (underwear for nightelves!!)
That beacon looks exactly like a Protoss pylon from Starcraft
31:22 Liadrin isn't having any of Elisande's bullshit
Sharm voice acting Ly'leth had me thinking it was an actual voice actor in-game! :O
Sharm! I love hearing her voice.
Oh man that ship ain't sinking soon Nobbel. "I'm not poking it I'm taping it!"
9:12 Ornamental Orange Bird hats
24:39 Shut up, Thalyssra! I'm trying to listen to Valtrois and Stellagosa chat!
Why is Ladrin holding Quel'Delar? The only person who should actually have that sword is the player... the blade was destroyed and reforged by the player using the original hilt, so why does she have it?! 28:16
Because canonically, Liadrin is the one who reforged the blade.
i think the blood elfs might have been at peace with being descended from trolls. after all allied with them in the horde since burning crusade might have spawned some.....realtionships
I really love these videos!
"Without retribution"... No wonder, you're a Retribution Paladin, Nobbel!
I knew i heard Sharms beautiful voice.
lol i was wondering why ly'leth's voice was so hot at the base and not in person, had to wait till the end to find out :p
Dude what gear is your Nightborne wearing in the beginning around 3:50? Shit looks dope with that sword
now i recognise advisor ly'leths (the message version not her voice when she is in person) voice she is emperor hakaan from diablo 3
Can we get an updated version of the entire lore behind illidan, everything he did good and bad seeing as lots of his Lore has changed and some stuff has been retconned.
I was considering looking up the voice of Ly'leth
Looking forward to the next one.
Elisandre throwing shade at all the different types of Elves lol...
Nobbel, when will you be doing the Azsuna side stories? It'd be good to get that out of the way in order to update the Blue Dragonflight status.
It looked ridiculous, but I would not change a thing about it - if anything I should have recorded it happening.
are we just gonna ignore the fact that khadgar nearly shattered time
ok i just want to point out that she complain about the blood elf allying with monster and she herself allied with the legion
4 days since lore. im getting the shakes
Now I want a fan fiction with Stellagosa, Valtrois, and Nobbel
is it strange that i've never played wow and watched alot of your videoes?
You should do a video on all the hints and speculation for the old god enxpansion
wouldn't mind knowing what the answer is at 24:55
Ah, Nobs, I juuuust finished this part!
0:00 Siege of Suramar?!(at the bottom right corner) I actually thought of that as a title of something
Braden Cardwell Its garrosh all over again
MarwynQ siege of stormwind next the Shdowland hype 😍
Nobbel, you're like the official in game reporter or anchorman of azeroth's breaking news. I hope Blizzard pays you well.
13:00 Don't you mean Silgryn is familiar with him, not Thalyssra?
No worries! Keeps me sharp ;)
