It’s honestly insane and puts things into perspective how much an artist and viewers eye differ. To me this is one of the most beautiful paintings, and I’d kill to have my skills be this advance, to the artist it could be better, and that’s crazy to think about! It’s a reminder to take it easy on yourself without having expectations weigh on your pencil. Also, with how fast paste social media is, seeing this painting take you over a month or so (and turn out incredible) is extremely inspirational… Short format media messed up my head a bit, and if something takes me longer than an hour, I struggle to continue and not think of myself as a failure. So, seeing this whole process, not edited into 10 seconds, have it be so calm, it’s beautiful and reminded me that art takes time, thank you so much ❤

i understand what you mean about the simplicity of a composition or subject matter - but having clear intentions and bold subjects are great narrative qualities, too! a more “complex” or “nuanced” piece isn’t inherently stronger than a piece that could be read more quickly and clearly. and there IS PLENTY of depth and conception behind this painting that is worth acknowledging - it’s a powerful introduction to their story!! ⭐️ also, comparing your art to others can lead to crucial moments of creative introspection, but can also impede on your ability to gain confidence about your current capabilities! it’s important that you remember to give yourself credit for how far you’ve already come whilst you challenge yourself! i’m so proud of you, and it feels so special to have watched this epic painting ripen through your eyes 🍓🌱💕 im eager for your next projects!!

I really struggle with the same issue, I have so many interesting ideas and most of the time I feel like I’ve failed to make it the way I wanted either I’ve spent too much rendering till the idea disappear or it turns out completely different , this constant feel to make everything perfect is ruining the ideas for me. But since I discovered your channel it helped a lot to just paint with fun and not focusing too much on the details or making every little thing perfect just enjoying it and go with the flow. Love the painting btw it turned out GREAT!!!💗💗

I've been struggling a lot with my art recently. Comparing my art with friends and other artists online has made it difficult to want to continue trying to get my art out there. While I'm still in the thick of it with those struggles, your art has been a huge reminder that it's worth it to keep trying. And congrats on the panting! 03:45 one thing my first painting instructor told me (her name is Amanda Joy Calobrisi) is that a painting never truly is finished. she always urged people to continue working on their pieces even after critique. just because your canvas is dry and dusty, but that doesn't mean you can't add another layer. this piece of advice changed my way of thinking towards the painting process.
