My grandparents and parents ate pigeons. My grandparents lived through 2 world wars and the Great Depression. I still own a cookbook (from my grandmother) printed in 1950. It contains recipes for pigeon pies and stews.
I have eaten pigeon and rabbit. Rabbit stew tastes like gamey beef. I also had crispy pigeon wings at a local Chinese restaurant and they were delicious. They tasted like chicken.

Brother, Muslim Countries aren’t the same as Arab countries ; Muslim countries at that time were owned by Arabs , Turks , Persians , Sindhis , Sub Saharan Africans and others.

@@skp8748 west africa was conquered by arab muslims. East Africa is mixed. Now the rest isn't muslim ( central and southern portion of Africa) .

Without the slightest desire to offend anyone living in the Middle East, yet the more I learn about my Granddad's land of origin the happier I was born and raised in 'West. Despite taking heat from a handful of racists for being Arabic, its abundantly clear that the 'West has grasped the need to progress, while the Middle East is, in general, fearfully static with regard to social welfare, civil rights, or basic infastructure.
