My watch was stuck in reboot mode and this trick fixed the problem.
Thank you so much! Just got this for Christmas and it would not boot up or anything. The only screen displayed was "rebooting" after I long pressed the power button. I used your tip to select recovery and it's back up and running now! You saved me! :)

I did all of this after the watch had been sitting on my charger for a few days. I thought it was fully charged since the green charging light went off. The screen came on after watching this video and I was happy it was doing the updating and I saw SAMSUNG GEAR 2 for the first time in a month. Then died...shut off...black screen again. NOOOOO I powered it on...went black...powered it on...went black. Put it back on the charger...my watch powered up enough for me to see the watch face come on and even watched it correct the time after not being in use for a few months. The battery was at zero. SO because there was no update done and bc there was no screen it was not holding a charge. So do as much as you can as quickly as you can so you can get it updated and back on the charger. Thanks for this vid !!!
Nice! This worked on my wife's Samsung Gear S3 Classic except you have to hold the power button and back button simultaneously to reboot. Everything else the same steps. BIG thanks for this video. She is back in happyville.

Hey Guys... My watch was off for about 30 days during the Lockdown & when wanted to turn it back on it won't. I left it charging for almost 24 hrs. & yet it won't turn on. Then i just happened to press both the buttons while it was still on the cradle charging and VOILA! IT WORKED. The screen turned on & now I can see the watch face. Just that the charge is still only 6% but m glad that the watch has come out of coma :p

I each just got the new active 2 watches, hers is the smaller one and mine is the larger one; and I have Oppo F9 pro as my phones. The problem is with notifications. We do see notifications on the watch when we get new email and/or text messages or ect. BUT the phone does not make any sound and it does not vibrate. So I don't know about the notices unless I look at the watch. It should make some sound or vibrate so I know a notification is there. I think I have the settings right but I'm not sure since it is not working on either of our watches. Any expert advice will be appreciated.

Pro Tip: Don't bother with the "three presses" - when you see "Rebooting" go ahead and just start pressing the home button quickly (bottom button, same as you did here) until you see the recovery menu. then just press it until you reach recovery. when recovery is highlighted. press and the home button until the screen goes dark. You will now get a full wipe of the watch, and need to reinstall everything. Note: If you have an LTE watch Numbersync will need to be reactivated. Not difficult, but required going through the setup again.

I have a Galaxy Watch Active 2 and I have a problem with the screen flickering all white. This occurred while charging in the original charger. When I leave the clock quietly on the bed, the screen comes back again, I just take it to move it and it goes back to the white screen. I once managed to "reboot" but it didn't work, and now when I try to reboot it is all white and I can't see anything. It vibrates notifications, I can use the virtual crown. Do you know what it can be and how to fix it? I opened it today, and left it on the rice to see if it's damp. Tomorrow I will reconnect all of it and see if it stops. Do you have any suggestions for me?

My watch doesnt turn on, I cant conbect it with my phone, and it was on 93% and then it died. If it shows me something thats only a white title: Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 rebooting... . I tried everything I could, what sould I do?
Does this work when the watch doesnt react at all except the sensor?

Wow so strange. My problem is a little different, my watch will only show the samsung galaxy logo and charge percent when it turns on, reboot, or start charging. Then i tried the menu by holding the power button and press 3 times. I select continue just to try because i dont want to reinstall everything. Then i put it back on charge turn it on and it turns on correctly and goes to home screen. So confused.
Mine is blackout completely will not turn on but with the charging port it's light turn on and says it's 100%

The watch was a black screen like in the video but it was connected to Bluetooth so I pushed both buttons on the side at the same time for a few seconds and sent song we boot and came on and then the watch was fixed

Need Help. I charged the watch to full and left it on the cradle unplugged. It was working fine. Next day, the watch is dead. Tried to charge to see if it will turn on, it won't and charger blinks red. Any ideas?
Try to clean the back of your Samsung Smartwatch (sensors & black backing).
i can not even connect my to phone, the screen wont let me get passed the lets go screen, i can feel the vibrations but thats it, ive done all the resets and still the same, please help

Check your charger or clean the sensors on the back of your watch and charge it again.
christmas eve 2020, my s3 classic watch got the green screen. i tried this method and no luck, didn't work.

You might have a dead battery.
@@macdaddypimpping thanks for the response, but I would've thought if that was the case I should be able to power it on while its Charging, but it still wouldn't come on. A dead battery should still power up a device when its charging atleast. E.g Laptop, Phones etc. Still do.

This means nothing if he can slightly see whats on his screen, try using a watch (like the one i'm dealing with now) that is functioning, but with a completely black screen.
Sometime when the watch got wet you will need to dry it and clean all the sensors on the back of the watch then try to let your watch charge again. Or, force to reboot by pressing the top & bottom on right buttons down for like 20 seconds.

The watch I'm dealing with is completely dry and is 100% charged. And I know this bcoz it displays that info on the phone. What I'm dealing with is a malfunctioned screen, and unfortunately it could be something internal.
In my Samsung wearable app, there is no settings tab whatsoever.

@@macdaddypimpping I got it wet accidentally. It will take a charge no problem. But, I can't pair it with the phone as I can't tap the numbers that show up for confirmation. I'm thinking about taking it apart but don't know what to look for. Thanks!
@@macdaddypimpping hey my gear s2 got wet and i even ordered a new digitizer/screen assembly on aliexpress and it's still black. It connects to my phone just fine and holds a charge. I've tried all combos of button mashing for long durations - no luck. Any ideas? Thanks!
@@Metradime really? Still black? Try pairing with another phone and see if it's still black. I read somewhere that the person paired with another phone, got it working and repaired with original phone and no more black screen. Worth a try...
Buenos dias, he pasado dias buscando la solucion y quiero compartir como hice para que vuelva a encender el reloj.
Sintomas: al cargar en la base al minuto ya marca error con led rojo intermitente, al querer encender el reloj solo decia samsung.
Soluciones probadas: cargue nuevamente la rom del reloj, realice reiniciacion del mismo y hard reset y nada.... casi lo tiro por no poseer garantia internacional Samsung UNA VERGUENZA.
Lo que si funciono fue:
1)mantener oprimido el boton de encendido por 10 segundos
2)soltar
3)volver a oprimir reiteradas veces hasta que sale menu
4)Optar opcion wireless downlod ( boton encendido hasta llegar a la opcion deseda) mantener oprimido para seleccionar
5) indicara carga de bateria y wps mode
6) oprimir nuevamente boton de encendido hasta que aparezca changing mode
7) quedara en AP Mode
8) dejar asi hasta que se agote la bateria , puede tardar horas segun la carga.
9) el reloj se apagara por no tener bateria, ponemos a cargar en la base
10) al llegar al 3% nos permite encenderlo, parece que esta todo igual que antes se apaga y prende varias veces mientras carga el sistema de cero . MIentras sucede esto dejarlo cargando en la base y Listo!!!
11) Piensen en cambiar la bateria si vuelve a hacerlo

This fix is not working for me at all. I don't know how any of you got this to work. Even after a master reset, my watch crashes and disconnects after 5 seconds after being removed from its charger. What a POS.
Insane that this hunk of crap actually passed all of Samsung's internal testing and on to store shelves. There are $20 digital watches that last for years longer than this total piece of crap. Unreal
These are smartwatch, cheap watch last long but it doesn't detect your steps and etc. Mine still works like new.
My touch screen works only when it wants to at the moment it won't let me get out of power saving mode. This price of junk is worthless. never buying another samsung junk again. I manage to fix the s2 but s3 is junk goodbye
You will need to turn off your smartwatch by pressing the button, everything is like a mini computer and sometime it freezes.
