You sir just saved me approx $30-50. Spent hours researching problems and was pretty much out of options so I was gonna replace the battery. Thanks for taking the time to make this video!
It's 2022 and it still works! Thank you so much for the help! I thought that I won't be able to use the watch anymore. Hope this video helps other people as well! Keep it up 👍
Perfect fix. I thought it was my watch battery. I changed that out and still nothing. Then decided to head to UA-cam when my watch charger light started blinking like crazy and this method fixed it right up. Thank you. You have earn a subscriber.
My son use my old S2 watch and he complained that charger not working then i get this video and just clean the contact point now ita working..... Tnx bro for save my money
Thank you, I love youtube and techno guys like you who like to share how to DIY. I used an eye glass screw, a pin/needle, and a metal nail file :) such a GIRL! So I used the thin needle inserting it 3mm away from the plug and used the metal nail file to prop it open. Just a little info, if you look closely on the part that he mention to lift back, its a hairline metal hoop (not the base metal) and so inserting a thin needle lifted it ; you can actually feel it click up if you pay close attention. Again thank you Mr. Eno Tech :)
Victoria Dethlefs lol! A year later and your comment still relevant! And funny! Once i removed the screws i used the same tool to insert hole (where the tiny screws go) to prop open😆 cheers!
YOU ARE THE MAN! I disnt have to take mine apart. I banged the base on my desk at work then plugged it in and immediately I saw a difference when it went red yellow green. I placed my watch on it and IT LIT UP. I am a happy camper now! 🤗😚🤗😁
BRO! Thank you so much, i really appreciate that you took your precious time and made video for all of us who are* or should i say was* facing this problem, it really worked 😊 I'm a tech guy like you but i would never had a little clue about that joining points in the charging dock 😂 thank to you ❤️👍🏻
When I opened mine, it was missing one of the contacts (came off probably when It was dropped from a 2 second floor). I soldered a piece to the board and boom, it worked! Life saver brotha!
Thanks for the vid. It absolutely worked. Tip for anyone trying it I used my fingernails to pry it out with very little effort and no damage to the charger. Thanks again.
Gracias!!! Lo solucioné me costó en entender por el idioma pero me fijé que las pequeñas piezas podían levantarse y lograban hacer contacto para que funcionara. Un millón de gracias por el turorial
Maaaaan, you fucking awesome, i'm from mexico and you are a genius, thank you so much, you have a fan in mexico, really really thank you, my english is not very good so, sorry if you don't understand me, thak'sssssssss
I found another solution that could help if you have done everything in the video and still can't charge. Just tap the charger a few times on the table gently and it will charge. It did work for me.
Wasn't able to get mine to work after several attempts... Couldn't find that sweet spot that made it again. I either didn't at all(extended the pins too much) or when back to its original state(red and green flashing) Not sure how to solder so I might have to pay the piper... Great informative video tho
This worked for me too. Before I started, I put the watch on the charger and pressed hard on the bottom of the charging cradle. The red charging light went on. Told me it was the contacts. It's had to see the tiny spring like contacts. I lifted from the screw side ever so slightly. Thanks!
Mine not charging but I don't think my problem is that! I think it's the battery. Battery gets hot while working and holds a few hours of charge. It's the second time cradle holds on red light but watch doesn't turn on!
so like, it comes loose, and disconnects. i remember dropping my charger, so I just slammed it a bit against my palm and got it working. without this video i probably would not have thought to do it so, lol, thanks.
I think mine charges but the light just stays red. The watch does get a little warm so I assume it is charging, but what I notice is that when its off the charger it begins to blink/flash the image on the screen. So it goes to black and back to the same screen. I can still swipe the menus but i cannot get it to stay solid. Any idea what could be wrong?
I plug the pin, it shows the red led, starts charging, when the power symbol appears on the watch, it starts blinking red starts blinking red... then it reboots... no idea what to do... it can be the battery?
I want a solution. If anyone can reply to me in a minute, I would appreciate that. The watch charges fine, it’s just when I take it off the dock it shuts off. I don’t know if it’s the battery or is it the charger. I want to know because I bought mine for only $100, and I don’t like the fact I might have wasted it.
Try resetting it, to see it fix the problem, if it persist then is might be either the battery or the watch itself you can reinstall the firmware also if the reset doesn't fix it.. thank you for watching my video. Please subscribe
Excellent tutorial. I was about to buy a new watch, and by following step one I have my S2 back up and charging. Many thanks.

Thank you! I was not sure where to lift it. As soon as I heard the snap I know I had it.
Followed the second part by soldering those two parts to the plate, seems to be working so far so good. Thanks a lot.
Glad it helped
Wow! Just subscribed. It worked. But all i did was press hard on the bottom of the charger. Now it's charging again
Thank you so much, i was frustrated for weeks due to the cradle not working.
Thanks again!

Actually works. Thanks
After understanding the problem
I just heavily pressed the back area of the charger and Boom!!!

Worked like a charm. Thanks
This worked for me too!
I still have the problem with the watch (gear s2) itself being stuck in the start loop. Can't factory reset or anything. I don't have warranty.
does anybody know how small of phillips screwdriver to get?
My charger presents red light, but the watch doesn't charge

My s2 charges sometimes but it doesn't usually work. What should I do
Try the solution in the video
İ have just changed the power cord if you are not using a original samsung charger get one
Will this work for gear s3 too?
If it doesn't charge because of the charger then yes
I plug the pin, it shows the red led, starts charging, when the power symbol appears on the watch, it starts blinking red starts blinking red... then it reboots... no idea what to do... it can be the battery?
if your charger is good then its the battery
you just save my wallet =)) well play
i like it
How can I open it
remove the rubber grip, then take the screws out, then use a flat screw driver and ply it out
What if you tryd to take the sees out but they won't come out what next
I am not able to do it....i mean i have opened it n what to do nxt...not able to understand
Lift up the contact pin a bit
How to use this
