They nerfed the armor behind the tracks on tue turret just like they did on the Churchill VII

I don't think I've ever looked at the ARL and thought, "Damn that turret is hard to pen!". Same with the Churchill, neither tank is amazing at anything. Arguably, the Churchill is good if you can play it well but that's not because some stupid little plate on the side lol. The ARL on the other hand is a pile of crap for me. That things turret gets penned by everything anyway so these nerfs are just stupid.
Arl is already weak tanks. 30 mm turret is easy dmg if get hit by big caliber tank even at lower tier.

It will be an achievement, for WG to stop releasing loot boxes, and actually fix their game.

I would not mind the reskinned/premium ARL, Sherman and Churchill, if they made a event to get them for free, for celebrating D-Day. But of course, we know there will be loot boxes, or some absurdly priced bundles for them...

Wg adding in a premium Arl 44 and churchill 7 carbon copies and nerfing the tech tree counterparts to make the premium tanks more armoured is absolutely disgusting. Remember when they bought out the is6B snd T34B, this just seems lazy.

I don't think you heard qb correctly. They aren't nerfing only the tech tree versions.
The premium versions won't be more armored. They will be carbon copies of the tech tree tanks, just as their 3D styles don't have the track links on them, they removed them from the tech tree tanks as well, so they can just copy paste their armor layouts to the 3D styled premiums.

It really feels like we're nearing end stage monetization with WoT and that WG is just focused on providing the whales and collectors with content and ways to spend their $

A year ago tier VIII MM on the US server was actually fun, but with the more and more common loot boxes and mass selling of bs premiums, that whole range of MM has just gone to hell. I would rather play tier III than any tank that can get into a tier VIII match up. It concerns me that EVEN MORE premiums are getting added to tier VIII, considering I'm just about 1 of 3 other tree tanks in a full tier VIII game of 30 players. Hell, there's enough VII and IX premiums that even when I'm -2/+2 MM, I'm one of the few tree tanks in that range. I love this game, but they are making it harder and harder to want to play, even when I use my premiums because there's always that one asshole in a BZ 176 that can just yeet you out of existence like it's nothing.

Need all of them back. If MM isn't going to take player skill into the calculation, then none of the maps are "unbalanced". The only thing that's always been unbalanced is matchmaking.

I actually asked on stream why there weren't more tier 6 premium tanks, rather than alle the tier 2-5 you get in xmax boxes.
this was before tier 4 and 5 could be used for battle pass. but i also think that tier 6 is a great tier to play at. there are really great differences in tanks and its before 90% of tanks has max view range automatically and you dont often see tanks with cvs.
Right? I really would love to see more mid-tier premiums (tier 5 to 7), this would also help out to distribute the players over more tiers, so that the mm becomes more balanced and diverse.
They can leave IT as is. I want Low Tier Premiums, so i will buy the Boxes With Them. If they add more they Put them in all Boxes instead of Just Christmas....
Issue is T6 sees T8 which has a lot better equipment, field mods & more OP tanks. All my T8 scouts had CVS. CC's have other tanks using CVS to. You're better off playing T5, as T7 mostly doesn't have OP armour thicknesses & equipment.
I think these tanks will be the rewards for each chapter of the D-day battlepass. And their main theme. Tier X vehicles there wouldnt really make sense, since those, usually even fake tanks were nowhere near WW2.

i mostly like achievements that suprise or honor special moments to make em even more reminding or epic, esp. if ur a newish player ,still kinda sensitive to ingame occurences. In wot it could be things like blindshots, hits out of the drawing distance, multiple fires, multiple kills/bounces in a short period of time, crashing by falling from big heights, long jumps, high rammingdamage and many other things... its then like the game speaks to u and says: 'that was cool, appreciated!' for me it shows that the developers also know bout the joyable parts of their product and have a connection to the playerbase, cause they also like those moments to happen.
Making it external with best-moments-replays is also nice, but not so in-the-moment and personal like directly ingame.
These new dogtags and achievements will sure enhance my gaming experience while having the usual 10-15 row of defeats.
Add to that yet another fast autoloader tank, i couldn't be any happier!
Wargaming wants to turn play every single player into a collector so they can better milk them using lootboxes. And what better way to do that than creating achievements for having lots of tanks in the garage.
If they gave anything of use this May be a reason.
But animated dogtags dont animate Players to collect :D
There is no such thing as a collector in wot. That is a perverted word with no meaning. You are getting ZERO tangible goods to collect. Once the game is dead, say in 5-10 years you have nothing...

There was a Reddit post that there is going to be a special D-Day battle pass chapter and the Tier-6's were going to be rewards in it.

No need to make it skill based only...just make sure that the players skill on every team is fairly equal and not one side with 6 or mire bots / players that just good as bots an the other team has 5 top players. Why can this even be possible an WG gives a f... about this unbalanced MM.
The new Sherman looks like a special for the upcoming 80years D-Day event. It go the special things on the front they used to get through the Normandy bocages.
My guess is it will be another PVE game mode coming back. The reskinned t6 tanks could be rewards for completing the missions

I'm certain they will put some reward vehicle after you get all tech tree and/or premium tanks researched/purchased. And I bet they will make that tank OP. There is no way they arent going to monetize this...

One thing Notice lately there is less usable resources, no more big repair or fire kits in the battle pass, no more gold in crate events, less normal credits.
I think they mentioned that they were doing a special D-Day themed Battle Pass season? Maybe that's why the new premium Tier 6 vehicles are being added. I honestly can't see them making tier 6 vehicles as a reason to purchase loot boxes, but maybe they'll be rewards for purchasing the extended Battle Pass season pass (for money and not gold, of course).

They announced earlier this year the next battle pass was going to be D-Day. 1 t6 tank for each battle pass chapter makes sense.
My expectation is that Medved will be the center piece of the Holiday Ops boxes.
All I know or see after 6 years of play is the U.S. Central participation rates flat to down most evenings.

Though the removal of the armor spots changes the uniqueness, is it not also simplifying the computer model, reducing computations involved with receiving fire calculations? Thus reducing overall game lag?
Sherman in very cool for D-Day battlepass, so is Chirchill. But thy should have added a German tank as the 3rd one. To make it historical.
wg mentioned the summer battle pass season will be D-Day themed, perhaps these tier 6s premiums are the rewards for it

Achievments.. Well Steam like. T6 Prem tanks, maybe good because a lot of low tier play vs T8 and with this, it could be more filling the low tier fights. If any Tech-tree has any T6 med/heavy,light,TD it would be a nice thing.

Hi QB. This patch and more specifically "Achievements" are definitively not what I was looking for as a WOT addicted player (not a whale :) So many things to do for the devs to make this game better but only money affairs... that's crappy
WG should add a CZ tank destroyer line, after all, there's already a premium CZ TD in the game so why not?
Also i like those copy paste premiums tier VI ( minus the wierd nerfs what the hell was that )
but i would rather a system like warthunder, where you can turn a tech tree tank, into a premiums, wargaming could get so much money doing this

I hope WG gives the new VI tier premium like reward for completing each battle pass part, three tanks = three battle pass parts. I would me mad as hell if WG puts them in loot boxes or for money, they look really good.
problem with all the game modes they are trying to sell you is that you dont complete daily missions in most (or all of them).
and when you are a casual player trying to finish stages in the battle pass, there is just no room for it.
if they made it as effective or better for earning points for the battle pass, i would likely participate in some of them.
but generally they are just to grindy and i have long periods were i dont really have the will to play every day, and if you dont play every day it seems you just dont have a chance to finish game modes.

If wg would still have a Forum, tgey May have gotten the Feedback that animated dogtags are Not a great trophy for achievements... Give credits and bonds, or other ingame stuff

Details of the “Operation Overlord” event in WOT.
The event will be tied to Stories (PvE mission as part of the trainingplayer). You will control 🇺🇸the M4A3E8 Sherman and, together with the support of 🇬🇧the British and 🇫🇷French allies, will carry out the landing in Normandy.
The event will use new mechanics ( ‼), which are described below. 🇺🇸The Sherman Crab is a minesweeper that has chains attached to the front to clear mines.
The event will also have 2 difficulties, different types of rewards and replayability.
* Event Description:
This story commemorates the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy, also known as Operation Overlord. Pay tribute to the heroes who paid the ultimate price to liberate Europe and end World War II.
This epic story pits you against AI opponents alone. Meet and recruit tankers from Season XIV of the Battle Pass, harness the full might of the US Navy and RAF, avoid minefields and destroy concrete bunkers!
Complete all objectives and receive a commemorative medal, camouflage patterns created in honor of the heroism of Allied soldiers during the Normandy landings in 1944, and other valuable rewards.
As the mission progresses, you will need to destroy mid-level German equipment, as well as bunkers with different calibers of guns.
A few excerpts from the event:
- A smoke signal marks the territory for the battleship’s guns, which cause damage to enemy equipment and other objects located there.
- The coastal bunker has been destroyed.
- The battleship is ready to fire.
- Find a way to destroy the coastal bunkers.
- Use smoke signals to help the battleship.
The mission will take place according to the following scenario:
- Survive on the beach (Avoid enemy fire at all costs)
- Break through enemy defenses (Destroy coastal bunkers N)
- Climb up (Get to the defense of enemy anti-aircraft batteries and destroy it)
- Help your allies break through defenses (Neutralize defenses enemy in sector D6)
- Help Captain Dubois (Neutralize enemy defenses in sector H6)
- Protect the fleet (Destroy coastal guns N)
- Clear the area (Destroy the remaining opponents N)
- Hold the position (Destroy enemy vehicles N)
** Apparently everything This is not the last such mission and we expect more PvE events in the future.
3:45 BT-SV is a sealclubbing tank? Hell no, that tank is anything but OP. It has horrendous view range, very limited gun depression, and the turning speed wasn't great either, iirc.
WG just trying to push their boundaries as much as they can without losing a lot of players. I bet the day they release a patch so bad many players leave they will revert it, but besides that i don't think WG is going to make any changes which will make the game better in the coming years.

Yesterday was the last day of my free 4 days of premium from the Mars missions.
I didn't play a single game, though I have well over 1,000 boosters to maximise my XP and credits, if I'd done so.
Today, likewise, I did not bother to fire up the game.
It's just too much blah, been there, done that, same old same old.
...
I will have to go through my 308 or so tanks in garage and ensure the crews I don't want are in barracks to turn them into books. I guess?
Maybe that will motivate me to fire up the game again?
It's just not interesting any more, same old OP hulldown tanks take the same old hulldown locations and wait for the nerfed, nerfed and nerfed again arty to encourage them to move.
I've got dozens of other games I could play, not to mention Netflix and such to watch. I could even read books!

Russian branch of WoT already rolled out flamethrowers into their fork of the game. I wonder when we are going to get one.

I'm surprised that the autoloaders are going up in damage, up in reload. The autoloaders that are more interesting I find are the ones with shorter reloads, smaller clips. Chi-Ri, AMX 13 75, Škoda T 50. These are all great tanks that have a meaningful but not broken burst, followed by a long but not excruciating wait period. Imagine the Bourrasque with 240 alpha per shot. Imagine a Tier VIII Czech heavy with 240 per shot, 2 round clip. I don't understand the whole conscious powercreep. It just gets worse and worse.
Tier 6 needs a M6 nerf though. That thing is basically a bad tier 8 medium at the moment and ruins tier 6 skirmish battles
Each tank should tell you how to obtain it. Half of them I have no idea how you get them as a filthy casual.

New rewards in Season 14 of the WOT 2024 Battle Pass (summer).
❗The future BP season is non-standard and will differ from traditional onesseasons.
*This season of the Battle Pass celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, known in many countries as D-Day. The main rewards for completing the pass are three premium Tier VI vehicles, each of which has a unique appearance inspired by Allied vehicles of the time: 🇬🇧Churchill Crocodile, 🇺🇸M4A3(76)W Sherman and 🇫🇷Char de transition.
The BP will be divided, as usual, into 3 chapters of lvl 50:
• Keep calm
• Let justice prevail
• Liberation
Thus, at lvl 50 of each chapter, a lvl 6 themed premium tank with a built-in 3D style will be waiting for you. And there will be no progressive 3D styles at lvl 10 in BP-14.
This is the first experimental version of the Battle Pass, where premium equipment will be given as a final reward. Each tank in 3 chapters is a copy of the pumped-up analogue in the top configuration.
The season will also be associated with the Operation Overlord mode.
They should bring back the chaffe races tbh

I’m tired of WG trying to rank me in their game, it means nothing to me, but does allow others to be judgemental towards you. I goof around half of the time with my kids, which kills my ranking, and doesn’t even come close to showing my true skill level.

I bought the lt 432 for the sole purpose of ramming anything and everything, not because its a tactical decision but because it's a lol.
