Idea: go Imperial Germany but instead of focusing on tanks and army, focus on creating a navy that can rival Britain’s and create a proper colonial empire to fulfill Wilhelm II’s dream
There is a popular theory: if the mustache man actually accepted the (reasonable) advice to produce loads of subs instead of the useless but glorious heavy ships, they could have stabilized the situation in the channel. In the early phase they could do nothing against the subs (they even reached the sores of the US) , so if there was even more pressure things could have been different.

@@maxtex60n40At the end of WWI the British and French more or less arbitrarily drew lines on the map of the former Ottoman lands to determine who gets what, without input or knowledge regarding the locals and the various divisions. It’s basically why the borders of the Middle East today are so terrible in splitting up ethic and religious groups.
the first thought that came to mind was an anarchist state because of radicalism and radically different people. fascism’s probably just gonna ride like crazy.
Im still pushing to see you cover Oswald Mosley, so once again, ill say "What if Britain went fascist under Oswald Mosley?". I honestly think hes an interesting figure in our history that doesnt get talked about, and I think youd have a lot of fun with it too. Failing that, ill also suggest doing the kings party route in "what if Edward VIII never abdicated?"
I think the outcome of Mosley would be sort of the same as in this video but with Brittish troops joining in vs the Soviets. perhaps some secceding overseas territories.
He wasn’t that interesting. Mostly a failure at everything he did and barely even believed the stuff he was saying, just wanted to trade on Nazi popularity. At its peak his party only had a few thousand members behind it. If anything, Oswald is talked about too much. Having said that, I still want to see Stak do your idea 😂👍
@wtls000 nah he was the only pacifistic and arguably non nationalist (he wanted to give northern ireland to Ireland and wanted a European super state) fascist. He also had some interesting ideas to do with democracy and the economy such as his idea that only people who work in a field should vote for the government minister of that field e.g doctors and healthcare

German political policy or "goal" was very malleable during the time of the war and changed depending on what was currently happening. Poland was originally going to be a natural ally because of their stance against communism and Russia, as well as the recent Polish-Soviet war. UK was pushing the Polish government for war because they were afraid of German influence. Germany and Pilsudski's plan was to build a railway through Gdynia and create an international zone but he died before that could be accomplished. Hitler even attended his funeral to pay respects.

To be even more in detail, there were actual talks between Forein Ministries of Germany and Poland to not oppose Adolf's Lebensraum project, which if Piłsudzki would be still alive could have intresting results due to events from 1920. + if I'm not mistaken, the only picture of Hitler in church is actually from Piłsudzki's funeral

news of japanese war crimes would enrage americans enough to where they feel a need to intervene, probably just later than 1941 though if germany didnt do a lusitania v2
they attacked pear harbor because the US stopped trade because how cruel they were to china, so its kinda something set in stone, it woule be cool to see how he would make it work

@@WeAreRisenzUPS The US IMO definitely cared about the warcrimes against China, especially, if not mainly, the US populace, which would certainly pressure the gov to criticize and stop trade with Japan or else a large riot would take place (ex: Vietnam war n warcrime riots)

It is a very interesting scenario, with all East Europe and Soviet Union under German sphere, probably the allies would lose if the Germans decided to attack.
It would probably be a race against time for Germany, because the German economy was very debt driven so it's war machine was very dependent on the exploitation of conquered areas, so I imagine it all depends on if the allies would be able to hold out long enough (especially in their colonies) that civil unrest and eventual unhappiness in the population is enough to drive the Germans over the edge
As he said in the video they would still need to consolidate the captured soviet union, not leaving much force to fight the allies.
If they did, france would still have fallen, but perhaps the UK would keep fighting on if Neville steps down and Churchill comes into power, funding resistance movements through the former ussr, yugoslavia and greece to hinder their war effort, sealion would still be impossible as the germans didnt have the naval means to mantain or supply an invasion, the battle of britain would still take place, this time the germans wouldnt be too pressed by fuel and material shortages, but with the rsistance in conquered countries hindering fuel extraction and delivery, a similar outcome could have happened.
USA would not be too happy with Germany dominating all of europe so it would still help britain and later join the allies after japan decares war on them.
After that ww2 goes as it went, with a popular uprisings in the ussr and yugoslavia, the defeat of the axis in africa and the eventual defeat of the war.
The war eventually ends with many more casualties and destruction
All of this is assuming poland, the baltics and finland remain unknowing of the german genocide, that would have been exposed by espionage by the allies which could make them turn against germany fight with the allies
But he didnt want a war with them. For all intents and purposes, Germany has won. And there was no war of aggression. It was defence

You really need a mod called Toolpack. It enables all kinds of cheats like transferring land to countries, create dismantle join and leave factions for all countries and a lot more.
It might say it's not made for the current version of the game but it works great anyways

@@tempejkl Why the AA line? That was the military goal for Operation Barbarossa. The settlement itself was supposed to contain the Urals.
if you tag switch between countries and need to continue the game just type in: ai + the tag of the countrie you´re playing for this game: ai ger and the ai wont mess with your divisions etc

You can turn off a country ai by typing ai [country tag]. It's a needed command when you want to switch from your primary country to another for a scenario.
Okay, how possible was this in real life, this guy makes it make WAY too much sense!
The main problem is that the changes it would take to Mustachio and 1930s Germany to make this somewhat feasible would require Nazi Germany to... No longer be "Nazi." The arrogance of Ribbentrop to the Poles wasn't just a character flaw, but part and parcel with the "master race" ideology, as an example.
A large issue is that the Soviet Union is assumed to be completely unreactive to changing circumstances.
In this scenario, they invade Finland despite it participating in a pact explicitly aimed against them.
To contrast with history, the Soviet invasion of Finland prompted the involvement or planned involvement of nine foreign nations, those being Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan.
The Soviet-Finnish armistice was signed on March 12th of 1940, which was the day that the first British-French-Polish echelon was scheduled to arrive in Finland.
That is, at least, on Allied planning documents. Stalin and the Soviet leadership were very canny in terms of foreign affairs.
Any kind of scenario where this kind of thing happens is essentially "what if all the Soviet leadership suddenly had brain damage".

Using OTL and a little imagination its not hard to imagine the following border changes
1 Eastern Karelia to Finland (was promised OTL before Barbarossa)
2 Romania gets land East of Besserabia ( like OTL)
3 Poland annexes Lithuania (Poland wanted a port, hard to imagine funny mustache man wouldnt care to much about Lithuania for Danzig)
4 Germany trades Western Savoy for South Tyrol and Trentino for western savoy( OTL italy didnt do to good in invading France, if it goes the same, why not do a swap).
Putting this back out there because 'why the heck not'?
So some 'What If's for possible future stuff:
- What if the Kodaha Faction succeeded in taking over the military and pulling the Emperor into more direct control? (Japan Monarchist/Non-Aligned path)
- What if Poland, despite all odds, was able to get its act together and either resist the Germans or, perhaps, ally with them against the Soviets? (Poland cedes Danzig, goes fascist or something else entirely...having Wojtek lead the way would be extra hilarious)
- What if Italy manages to not be completely incompetent (A rebirth of the Roman Empire...especially if by the Pope would be hilarious)
- What if Germany somehow, through some wild twists of fate, somehow manages to bring back the Holy Roman Empire? (not sure if you've done this 'hidden' path yet for Germany or not)

This is by no means an alternative history. Paradox made a mistake by giving the focus Gdańsk or War in the historical path. In fact, Gdańsk or war should be replaced by the focus Gdańsk for Slovakia, because such a proposal was presented to Poland by Ribentrop during his visit to Warsaw in 1939. The Third Reich was to obtain Gdańsk (not all of Pomerania as the focus suggests), a transnational railway connecting eastern Prussia with the rest of the Reich, and Poland was to receive Slovakia and join the Anti-Comintern Pact. In fact, the Third Reich hoped that Poland would be tempted to form an alliance with Germany and secure the rear of the German offensive to the west. However, the Poles guaranteed the independence of the free city of Gdańsk and had no intention of giving up. Moreover, they felt confident when Great Britain and France assured Poland that they would help in the first days of the war (it was a deliberate lie intended to direct the Third Reich's aggression towards Poland). This lie that the Poles believed led to the rejection of the Gdańsk proposal for Slovakia, Hitler got angry and ordered to prepare a plan to invade Poland and also started working on an agreement with the USSR (Ribentrop-Molotov Pact).

So this was kind of the original plan, but then Germany due to alliance with Japan, declared war on the USA. Which pulled them into war in Europe.

Uhmmm you misunderstood the concept of "Lebensraum", they didn't want to settle Russia, they wanted to depopulate Russia to the point it would be a completely agricultural society to provide food and other natural resources for a Germany they would fully Urbanize and Industralize, too create the room to allow for that.

Honestly think even France and the UK would have joined Germany in the fight against the soviets, since they only joined forces with each other (France, England and USSR) against Germany, but since they aren't at war with Germany, then the USSR would be the only threat
The first thing the Germans would have done after defeating the soviet union is build train tracks. Lots of meters wide train tracks for their megatrains to populate the land they conquered.
Germany tried diplomacy irl, and it didn't work out.
If you want to readjust borders to make it more acceptable, the state transfer tool is probably the one that might suit you best

the 4 jahres plan was to get autarky with iron ore and steel production. it was said building takes 2 years and the steel for building the buildings for the industry would take 2 years to produce (produced by those very steel mills). so 4 years. yet the Herrmann Göring (Steel) Werke never achieved to produce the steel it cost to build up until the end of the war. so if they didnt do this they might have had an easier time^^

I disagree with not causing a uprising in Poland as a alternative to invasion. The Nazi's did have a violent birth contesting the communists and the Night of the Long knives iirc. I think it would be more plausible for the Nazi's party of 1936 to use that especially give how popular they were in Poland in your playthrough. Just my thoughts from a semi historical view.

The Molotov Ribbentrop Pact also included a trade agreement between Germany and the USSR. Germany, I believe sold the USSR a hull of a Hipper Class Cruiser which the USSR never finished and, in the end, had broken it up for scrap and the USSR exported oil and other raw materials to them.

Imjin War - I would love to see what would have happened if Toyotomi Hideyoshi conquered the Korean Peninsula and China. I feel like it could be an interesting avenue. I don't know if HoI4 goes back that far but it is an interesting thought.
