Improve your engine performance with these gas additives you add to your gas tank! Garret from Liqui Moly stopped by to go over the benefits of using gasoline additives to improve engine performance. Garret also goes over the more advanced Pro-Line of additives. These are for the folks who are pretty familiar with their cars and have a little more experience under their belts or for the shop owners looking to refresh a used cars engine.

I recently used the Liqui Moly Fuel System Cleaner, I had a check engine light (PO420) for over 6 months, I was already planning to purchase a new catalytic converter, however after putting the additive in the full tank of fuel it made the light go away in less than 1/4 tank of running. The response and acceleration is restored. I used this product on a 2012 Jaguar XJL Supercharged 5.0. I highly recommend this product to anyone. I also used the oil additive to reduce tappet noise and it also did an awesome job at reducing the noise.
Been on the Speedtec recently...good stuff!
I like the car in the background, i have a 2018 tornado red golf r
fyi, no matter the gas additive, check its effect on various materials. i soaked plastic, rubber, metal in B12 chemtool. chemtool was great at dissolving gunk and varnish. HOWEVER, it also dissolved/damaged certain rubbers and plastics. other cleaners, like seafoam, did not clean as well, but then did not damage materials.
Did you mix the products with gasoline at the reccomended ratios (one ounce per gallon) prior to soaking parts in them? Seafoam isn't harsh enough to damage anything, but as you said, B12 is if concentrated enough. That said, B12 has been a very popular additive for decades and I have never seen or heard of it damaging anything when used as directed, so I personally wouldn't worry about damage unless way overdosed.
@@averyalexander2303 no.
it was a full strength test lasting only a week.
i also tested seafoam and marvel mystery oil, both did not effect plastics and rubber, but where not even close to removing carbon as well as B12.
Can anyone help? I have a 2014 cls 550 w218 I believe it's GDI. How long do you wait after using Proline gasoline system cleaner 1time a year to use D.I Jectron every 2400 miles? Or should I just use D.I Jecteon every 2400 miles? Can't find an answer anywhere for this? I do have a GDI engine.
Thanks All
I saw on another website that valve clean is only for cars with non-direct injection. I have a BMW and I want to know if you can help me if it can be used with this type of direct injection cars.
I thought jectron already helped clean fuel injectors?
My experience is that using the direct injection cleaner, will do the best job on port injected engines, due to the content of the solvent "polyetheramine". I asked liqui moly, they tell me it can be used in port injection aswell as DI.
Thanks. Going to take your tip for my bmw 1 series which has direct injection.
How often should i use the fuel injection cleaner?
I think i saw 5.000km on the bottle.
Which one would be best for a 2010 quattro avant?
More info on her "race wagon"?
Check out the Racewagen series on the ECS channel!
Can these be used with a b58?
Yes
What exactly does "way too much cleaning" mean? Needless to say, once a fuel system is clean, there isn't any more cleaning to do, so nothing is going to get cleaner than clean no matter how many cans of additives you use. What's the real reason using Gasoline System Cleaner more frequently than once a year would be inadvisable? Will more regular use affect the engine oil, plastic/rubber parts, catalytic converter, etc?
Maybe just unnecessary
@@iaimfortheeyes It likely is, but in that case, I think being more clear about the reason would have been a great idea so people don't make the wrong assumptions about or question the product's safety.
Do I use Jectron or DI Jectron on my Audi B8 3.0t?
I think you're direct injected. If so, use DiJectron. If you don't know, ask someone on an Audi forum or call the service dept at any dealership.
I know a guy that believes in this brand like a religion, yes you shuddz!
you should check Jamie Orr too, hahaha, his a bit of a nerd
@@jamdc2000 know of Jamie yes.
It made my check engine light come on.I cleared the light, and now my engine keeps stalling,WTF so far, I checked the spark plugs and they are fouled from running too rich Now looking at the o2 sensors for 300.00 dollars .This product screwed up my car.
buy a better car
@SuperKanuuna And what do you think is a better car ? They are all pieces of crap.I keep mine and run it till they rust or fall apart.Because I do 99 percent of my repair work. What do you do buy a perpetual financed one ?
"...a 12-pack will take you through the year...." As will a -0- pack! (ask me how I know!)
Why didn't car-makers think of injector-tip umbrellas??
DOH!!
Snake 🐍 oils, put bore cam and let's see if it's really works
Sound like a hater, boomer
More snake oil

Unless you're regularly filling up on Top Tier gasoline from the same region, a quality additive is actually beneficial.
LM is one of the few companies that have fuel additives that make a substantial difference in the short term and long term. It isnt your typical gumout snake oil.
That's great news......I needed more oil for my snake 🛢️🗼🐍
It screwed up my converter !
