Oh and BTW...I've recently become obsessed with bahn mei sandwiches, have been watching a ton of videos and every time I see someone do the protein, I'm like yoooo, Neal would rock that on the flattop!!! It seems like you and Amy like Asian flavors and you're the sandwich guy, would love to see a video with your twist on it!!
I made the smash burger taco about 2 weeks ago and everyone loved them. So, today I said was going to make again and someone suggested adding McCormick taco seasoning (mixed in hamburger) and for the cheese used taco cheese made with Monterey Jack and seasoned with taco seasoning. they came out delicious. I have a new favorite in the house. 😋
I made the smash burger taco today for dinner with one packet of McCormick taco seasoning, and sauteed onions and garlic. Oh my word. Served it with lettuce, tomato, beans, guacamole and salsa. It was so good!
Well a few things...I did use American on the burger...I also used shredded cheddar on the Mexican one...not sure i understand...American cheese on a burger is kinda classic. It also takes cheddar to make American cheese. Literally in video cheddar was used.
Neal they all look delicious 👍 for sure I'm going to make some. They look like tostadas only difference they are not corn tortillas. But definitely like your idea with the flour tortillas. Great recipes Neal👍. Enjoy your videos👏
We eat Tex-Mex all the time, but it looks fire. But, I'd have to go with the Italian. And if only there was a way to incorporate those eggs in with the Italian....
Mmmmmmm, Wow, they all looked fantastic, now I'm starving. I'm going to try all of them. They all looked absolutely delicious. Keep your videos coming there fantastic. You guys are great.
Spread the meat over the tortilla first cover ever single inch of the tortilla, meat down over the grill 2-3 minutes flip over for 1 min add whatever you want enjoy
Made your muffin pancakes this morning for the kids (birthday cake) with whataburger breakfast sausage. Our new way for making pancakes for sure. Amazing recipe! If you get a chance to try Malcom Reed’s How to BBQ Right Gringo seasoning, I highly recommend. It’s our go to Taco seasoning.
Those looks wonderful. I think the Mexican could be my favorite and only because I’m not huge pizza eater and I don’t eat breakfast and kinda tired of traditional smash burger but they all look so beautiful and tasty!
Here are my thoughts,….Cheese is made from milk… milk is white… not orange in colour…! I have a burning question for you ,… would you give your kids orange coloured milk….????? Those Kraft slices … not real cheese… by any stretch…!!
hahaha I would please do research before committing like this...truly..one thing to bring a point...another to prove something that has absolutely zero base to it..please do better
I was going to say something but you said to sit down 😂. JK. I literally made beef and chorizo tacos on Tuesday. Could have tried this. Definitely will now 🙌🏻❤️
How about a chicken parm version using chicken sausage, maybe skip the breading and let the maillard reaction be the crust? Do you think that would work? Nice job.
My dude your videos are always banging. Pretty much watch everything you put out love your ideas and have tried a bunch of them out myself. I hope you continue to grow and have success because you are really awesome at this always very informative and incredible content! Keep it up man!
I almost liked your video, thank you. You should call it "smash your co-host" at the end video. You might want to be respectful to those that help you.
this has to be the first video you have ever seen of mine...i can assure you that the Person at the end is fine too...good lord...how in the world is this your comment...its my wife and we have a blast...always have always will...

The italion for dinner tommorow. I just made tacos and have a couple torillias left over and this will be perfect. I just made pepperoni and pizza sauce so I am all set.
haven't seen anyone add taco seasoning to the burger, beans, etc. and make an actual taco style yet, just variations of a burger. I'll report back tonight after dinner
Success!!!! used the taco seasoning in the meat, then when did the flip, spread on beans, then sprinkled with cheese, removed from heat when cheese melted. Used that as the universal base, then let the family add on the rest as they liked. Zero left!!! :D
its not the meat or the fillings that make this special, its how the texture of the tortilla changes when you cook it in this way, i cant imagine ever making tacos the way i have in the past anymore, spice some meat put it on the grill and put a tortilla on top and fry up some tacos.
So in the middle of the griddle you have that “steel”kinda shining through in few spots. Mine has the same and I’ve used a few times only. Reason for that? Am I scraping the seasoning off when I clean it? Will re seasoning fix it? Tacos look great btw Thanks.
I tried em and did not like in this circumstance....chewy and absorbed tons of moisture and fat....some reason the flour is about to cook longer and fry better...
damn i tried to make one and the top of the tortilla was so soggy with juice from the beef but the bottom was super crispy it was weird. and the burger fell apart when i tried to flip it over even using a plate lmao
@@TheFlatTopKing i did man. it worked out great actually. before i flipped it (to burger side up) i pressed the tortilla down and drained some of the juice from the pan. when i flipped this one it was much less soggy and the bit of juice left fried the tortilla. amazing.
He really did refer to the 1st as a "traditional style smash taco" I love that we live in a time where a Smash Burger Taco is considered something traditional lol. I would eat all 4.
YYYUUUMMMYYY!!! This is my 1st visit to your channel and am SUPER HAPPY I found it. These ALL look sooo DEEE-LICIOUS!! I dig your personality and am looking forward to watching and enjoying many more vids. New subbie for sure. Arlene
The variety on these was amazing. And inspiring. You could do a trip around the world: mexican, Italian, greek, Asian - here's a challenge for you - German! Something with kraut, onions, sausage, a nice creamy horseradish sauce. I'm just winging it here. You're the King. Or a trip around the US. East coast lobster, Midwest beef or Buffalo, Great lakes walleye,, Louisiana shrimp or crawfish, southwest or tex-mex chicken, West coast fish tacos with slaw, Alaskan king crab, etc. The possibilities are endless.
Pro move using the tortillas! I will be making those for sure! Did an experiment last night with both of your seasonings with wagyu flat iron steak and wagyu skirt steak from my buddies ranch in Texas. 🤤🤤🤤😮💨. I’ll post it later!
Made the big mac smash burger tacos a few weeks ago and they were amazing. Today, I made a similar version with ground chicken (seasoned with ranch seasoning), pepper jack cheese, shredded lettuce, buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing drizzle. You have to try it out!
I loved all four (ok, except the one with cilantro. It tastes like soap!), but that pizza taco looked intriguing. I make a "pizza" with a low-carb tortilla for a low-carb option for pizza. Yours "smashes" it out of the park! Thanks for the ideas.
That was a really cool video Neil. Smashed Taco's , who'd a thunk it??? They did look good for sure. Thank you and Amy for sharing with us, stay safe and keep the good videos and fun rolling around there. Fred.
Well I did my 1st smash burger cook this Saturday on my blackstone. Learned I was over cautious with the heat (not hot enough to create that sear)... next time. But it still came out good. Your Smash It seasoning brought it over the top!!

Love the various sauces you created and how easy you made them look. Recipe download next up. Got your spices and putting them to use, fantastic flavor. Well done to you both.

Great video! I'm drooling. Your fist pick would have been mine as well.
Thanks Mike

hahahaha Come on...
I live in California - Excellent Mexican food! - but I never understand why you all use American cheese...cheddar or cotija is the way to go!
Well a few things...I did use American on the burger...I also used shredded cheddar on the Mexican one...not sure i understand...American cheese on a burger is kinda classic. It also takes cheddar to make American cheese. Literally in video cheddar was used.

Outstanding ideas and great video. I have gone on a low carb diet, and these recipes are perfect. Thanks for making these great videos.

Zero left!!! :D
One from column A and one from column B or two or three. It shows us basic plus preference is on the individual grill! Do it to our taste!
Yes sir...
cover steam water ... melt the cheez
its not the meat or the fillings that make this special, its how the texture of the tortilla changes when you cook it in this way, i cant imagine ever making tacos the way i have in the past anymore, spice some meat put it on the grill and put a tortilla on top and fry up some tacos.
Spot on… on my new channel- pellets and pits. We did smoked chuck roast tacos and kinda did the same thing. The texture difference is awesome
Another Grand Slam Home Run! Nuff said!

I think it would be worth a shot....not reason why they would not work...
Wow!! I’d burn them all down!!! I’m inspired

You should try Salvadoran cream instead of sour cream.
not sure if we even have that available....I don't even know if I have heard of it...crema yes...but not that...
Ok, the one I was eating at the time would be my favorite. 4 number ones.
