I wish liquidation companies didn't make their going out of business commercials obnoxiously happy sounding. It just feels inappropriate. I would think, most people going to the sale were already familiar with the store and might be really sad that it's closing/people are losing their jobs. They should make it at least a more neutral/mournful tone interspersed between talking about the discounts. Personally that would compel me more to go. And it's not like those kinds of ads don't work either, think about all the animal shelter/hungry children in foreign country commercials that pull (I'm assuming) large amounts of donations with the more melancholic approach.
Some of them are a little more neutral sounding. The thing is they are telling people that they are getting huge deals because the store is going out of business.
@@b.m.933 Fair enough
Also, another liquidation sale commercial explicitly said "it is bad for us but good for you". I don't remember which one it was one of the furniture store liquidation sale ads.
@@bjv93 actually it was a Chloe's Furniture liquidation ad and it said "our loss is your gain".
wish they lasted longer
I miss Caldor! My Mom and I shopped at the Willingboro NJ store. It was was quite nice.
I use to go there alot bring the store back
I remember that ad I was 17
Same and I was 7
Perfect timing.
My parents told me abt this ad. I wasn’t there when this was happening.
"It's the sale you've been waiting for!"
Liquidators have a real strange idea about what sales people are waiting for, especially going out of business sales. 🤷🏽♀️
❎ for respects.
I saw this during Montel on WWOR in 1999 at the same time New York had Empire Carpet come out here
No guys in plaster, here.
