I’ve just bought one! A 2019 3dr Shadow Edition in white like yours, 33k miles. Currently awaiting it being transported over. Can’t wait to get driving it…. 👍🏻
Great update Reg. I owned mine for 4 years, and did like it a lot, but got bored of it's chassis limitations. It's basically a 118i m sport with a hot engine, and no amount of money can turn it into an M car. Now rolling in an OG M2, it is seriously on another level. The M140i is a great straight line missile, but a wobbly, pogo-ing, snaking, unstable thing on a twisty undulating B road. I know they can be improved greatly by spending lots of money of better dampers, polybushes, limited slip diffs, m3 arms, bracing, etc, but even with every upgrade possible it will still never be an M car. What I will say is, they are very comfortable, practical, even quite fuel efficient, with the ability to be extremely fast on a dual carriageway. My wife absolutely loved being passenger in mine. She thinks the M2 is noisy (which is it, as they fit less sound deadening in M cars), the ride is too hard (which it is, but the damping is superb, it instantly settles over bumps), the seat foam is hard (the M140i seats had a softer foam filling), the DCT gearbox is jerky (it's not great around town, amazing when I'm driving quickly though), and the doors are too long ! Every drive feels like a special occasion though, and even she has noticed peoples heads turn when we drive past, which never happened with the M140i.
Thanks Nick! The mods I’ve made to the car are night and day to what it was, but I agree, it’s no M2. I drove an M2 Comp around silverstone last year and it blew me away on track. It felt the same inside as the interiors are always identical, but it was a different kettle of fish on the track. As a road car, the M140i is definitely more forgiving, but there’s no denying how stunning the M2 is and how it performs!

came off boost because of oncoming traffic in the opposite lane? hahahaha
Noooooooo - 👀
To sensible for a m140i lol
?
Jesus Christ everywhere I look there’s a dead ting m140i video on UA-cam 😅😂😂
Everyone is obsessed with them who can’t afford a proper M car or an rs3 or Mercedes etc.
They are good for getting power out of them but they are just a cheap clapped out 1 series with a big engine. A 17 year old on minimum wage could afford 1. 😂🤣
I’ve driven M Cars and they’re great. This is fun car that’s affordable to run. If you wanna go mental with it you can. It’s up to you. I could sell it and get an M2 if I wanted but I’m happy with the 1er. Thanks for the kind words tho!
People who drive them are budgeting because they can’t afford a proper car and go for a £16k m140i absolute dead ting fam
@@roadreg1820 only the villains drive ‘M’ cars 🤣
Yeah man, all cars attract all different kinds of people. Like drug dealers who like to drive around Bradford filming themselves driving S3’s and Golf R’s.. who can’t drive but thing they’re Lewis Hamilton. Also Golf R’s are cheep to buy now. Can grab a 2014/15 for similar price to M140i. Not the car’s fault pal. This is even happening with old M4’s! You see all different kinds of people driving them.
@@SebbyShvein1what ever you say
It looks like a shoe, crap in the wet.And is not a fully badged M car.
It’s not crap in the wet with the right tyres.. I really like it. A lot of fun for the money. 😎 Appreciate your comment !
what do u drive?
@@smegnichtlp8502 got a evo 6, and an rs3.
@@incognito96I'd take a M140i over either. The Evo 6 has a Fisher Price toy interior and the RS3 is a sh1t car built around a great engine.
@@harrylo2316 unfortunately both cars are head and shoulders above an m140i, which isn't even a fully badged member, it's just a crap car with a good engine. It's not even in the same league. It's for kid's.
I can’t believe how forward your seat is and even is a 1 series? Un fucking believable
This comment lol 😂
Thank f i watched this before looking to buy one.... Omfg 🥱🥱
