you've done pretty well actually. The only thing I would reccomend, you spent $100 on basics: trash can, bed sheet, maybe a lamp. But you know I'm a fulltime homemaker, I have furnished/decorated a two bedroom apartment for about $200 lol, and that's with really over the top decorating, painting, etc.
here's the secret: secondhand stores and the dollar store.
secondhand stores include: goodwill, value village, etc. at these places you can buy a lamp $2, a garbage can for $1, a set of dishes for $5, a bed frame for $10, a study desk for $15. these are all items that are in great shape, solid oak, or stainless steel, they are used, but gently used. The store throws badly worn items in the trash, so you are only shopping nice items at discounts.
The dollar store or the dollar tree, in this store obviously every item is only $1. items you will find: laundry/dish soap, shampoo, frozen dinners, soda, candy, paper plates, garbage bags, cooking tools, etc
also, you should know that Wal-Mart isn't cheaper than Indian stores.
my husband is a Bengali. I shop at Indian stores, even for my food, it's just cheaper and usually fresher. Wal-Mart grocery department, in my experience, it's not so good.
anyways, you have 3 large Indian grocery stores in Dallas. shop there instead. plus you can buy king fishers, thumbs up, halal meats, veg frozen dinners, kurkure, hot ass Thai chilis lol, lots of good stuff you can't buy anywhere else.
When you graduate, move to Seattle lol we have a huge number of indian restaurants, grocery stores, schools, dance parties even lol. I think most of my friends have been to a jai ho at least once lol
so you are telling him to buy USED stuff instead of buying a new one...and 100dollars is just 7000 rupees !!
Which version was your Moto G3? 2nd Gen or 3rd Gen? I have a Moto G3 3rd Gen. Don't know whether it will work there or not.

I know it feels really nervous before the interview. And that's completely normal. It does seem like a big deal. You are asked to talk about your background, research and stuff and whatnot. All the while what the VO is really doing is judging if you are really into your stuff or trying to get into US with an intension to emigrate. It feels like one small misstep and your world of hope and ambition will come crushing down!
Relax!
Treat this as if you are talking to your research advisor - passionately AND concisely about your work. Make a strong point of how that degree and experience would benefit you when you come back to India permanently. In all likelihood, they will not understand your work - and that's natural too. They are not experts of every field! They are paid to thwart potential immigrants who they see as not really adding too much value to American society! (Also, the BS that you would come back right after completing your degree do not really work - so steer away from that.) Finally, your VO is also human - if you can make him/her feel safe and comfortable talking to you, there is no reason not to let you in. More so because, contrary to some unfounded belief, there is no cap on student visa!

+Divyesh Harit I don't think there is 3G anymore here because my Moto G was stuck to E. But there is LTE everywhere and costs the same money and is ridiculously fast. This is for T-Mobile. I don't know about other carriers.

I'll give my 12th board exams next year, so how do I apply to US colleges in December this year and get acceptance letter till February while I've not even given my board exams till the month of March. I'm planning to apply for fall 2017.
they don't need your 12th grade marks to give acceptance...
+Abhishek Tarun My university gave me an unconditional admission even before my 12th grade exams(irrespective of 12th grade marks). That doesn't mean you forget about 12th grade. They still require satisfactory performance for 12th, specially if you have a scholarship.

I remember my first two visits to Walmart. Spent $291 and $384 - in two consecutive days! I don't know what I was thinking. :D Well, those included one ipod touch and one bicycle. The bicycle broke into pieces in about 3 months :D Fun times..
And A few days later I splurged ~$500 on a twin bed - a fuckin TWIN bed! I thought a twin size was larger than full - so I was really confused when I checked the prices and the full one was $20 more. I am NOT proud of this.
I also spent ~$170 on a chair - it instantly became the butt of all jokes and I never heard the end of it from my friends :D Although, in retrospect, that was one of the better purchasing decisions - spent countless hours on that comfy chair until I moved after 5 and a half years!
