Mediocre arcade racer, but not too bad!

Okay, first time I heard the music, I laughed my ass off. *sings* "Burning road, burning road." C'ord there's some awesome guitar in there though, and now its both hilarious AND Awesome. I love it for it's teen-like in-your-ears-and-I-don't-care quality, it's easy to listen to, for it's sporadic moments of excellence and for how epic it is. It rocks. Its fun. Its furious.

still a fantastic game..bought it back when it came out but I can't remember from whence it was bought.
music is insanely good, weird voiceover man & love how the cars & wheels get smashed up.
I remember there is a way to cheese win the game.
if u turn around and drive backwards on the track. the game will register reverse track mode. and u can Race backwards on the track.
but the way to cheese this. is to wait a bit for opponent to drive a head of u. but never let them reach first Time extension. u start driving backwards. the NPC Racers would turn around and race with you backwards where u have huge lead
this Also works on the Other game called "Explosive Racing" which is done by same Devs.

why didn't i read the description before buying a disc of the game off ebay to test on the original hardware to confirm the intro music played before the main menu and into the gameplay?? hahahah i'm dumb
It looks like the framerate is a bit higher in race 5, I noticed it too. Can't really tell if it's the video or the game itself though.
Worst game I've ever played but one of the best for nostalgia and the memories it gave me...particularly how you could start the race, immediately turn round, cross the start line and win the race!!! Ha :) absolutely classic soundtrack too!
Graphics are atrocious it looks like a gba game

i paid £45 for this back in the day as i was desperate for some Daytona style racing. it wasnt as good as Daytona ofcourse, but its a very good game in its own right.

Had to say that!!!! Yeah, it was a Daytona-u-like but not quite. I'd love Daytona on the Saturn & arcade but only had access to a PS1 so this was a great substitute for me. Thanks for the upload Schiauchi!!!!!!!

Si pero me recuerda a la Daytona usa el arcade lo peor de todo los mismos gráficos GBA lamentablemente psx hizo robar la idea bueno ese juego algo pudo pasar no crees??? 😡
the announcer in the pal version sounds differant than in this version.
