When Noel’s talking about hating ‘Morning Glory’ he doesn’t mean he hates the music, he means the mix and the fact he thinks he rushed the writing of some songs. Still the best Oasis album for me.

The mix is incredible, he’s bugging. He also thinks “Roll with it” is a bad song when it’s such a classic.
@@Chanelson2010 yeah I don’t get his hate for it either, but he’s very critical of his own music in general so doesn’t surprise me. He also changes his mind a lot, he seems to have mellowed on BHN.

Pretty soon you will be able to AI everything he does as well.
I think it's easier to get a more real guitar sound with AI than a voice that doesn't sound like chopped up and autotuned.

I had no idea he was so critical of his own music. I thought he only dislikes Be Here Now, but he is really critical about his songwriting and the amount of “good songs” on each record. This is interesting, bc a lot of independent artists are like this, never thought Noel was like that as well, definitely can relate

i couldn't care less about the music and oasis in general... but that guy's got an attitude and a way of critical thinking that well resonates with me.

I like Noel, he’s honest and a bit of an arse. And in the spirit of Noel, I’m gunna be honest; in my opinion Oasis is overrated shite music. Great talent though.

I just came to these comments to find someone else puzzling over that! The way he phrased it was so vague I wasn't even sure he was being negative, but yeah I think he was dismissing it, right..?
Because yes, I swear I first heard Noel talk about this "killer song" he'd written called Stop The Clocks in an interview 20 years ago somewhere between, oh, Heathen Chemistry and Don't Believe The Truth, so 2003ish... or maybe even one album cycle earlier, perhaps circa 2001. But for whatever reason it never made whichever album that was, or the one after, or even as a bonus new track on their first singles compilation _despite lending its name to that compilation_ in what seemed an absolute open goal missed, considering it was apparently _the_ great lost Oasis song. And so it made perfect sense that Noel would finally release it when he eventually started a solo career. So it feels very disconcerting that he now appears to be anti it, after all that buildup .
Hoping Noel just combines the 3 ep's he did and puts that out on cd at some point, yunno?

Breezer didn’t need to “AI what I (Noel) do” - they wrote and arranged some quality music that would have fit perfect between WTSMG and BEN. The AI was Liam’s voice and it along with the music sound awesome.

Really interesting to hear that NG hates the sound of ...Morning Glory! He's spot on about Who Built the Moon? It sounds like a bad mono mix on many of those (albeit cool) songs.
Bad take by Noel imo...the sound of WTSMG is amazing, and definitely their best album sonically, closely followed by SOTSOG
@@AkyovNorthWest I'm guessing he hates the hard compression on it...which is a bit odd considering that D,M is REALLY slammed with compression. Both sound good to my ears though.
@@sodiumlightshe changes his opinion on albums every week so I wouldn't take it too seriously, considering it's his most successful album and set of songs I heavily doubt he'd come out over 25yrs later to say that he hated the sound
Morning Glory while having the best songs, the mix and sound of it is kinda shit. If you go back and listen to it right now after hearing Noels new album, it just sounds compressed and inside a tunnel. It really needs a proper proper remastering.
@@sodiumlights Definitely Maybe is compressed but it still has width to it and sounds natural. Morning Glory is very very digital sounding compared imo.

Aye! Lemme tell ya, Don't Believe the Truth was considered a "return to form" here in America! It only JUST MISSED being an American Billboard Top 10 Album, debuting in The Billboard Top 20 chart position of #12! And no other American tour even comes close Madison Square Garden, The Hollywood Bowl, The GMU Patriot Center, Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Boston Tweeter Center, The Credit Union 1 Arena... And there were a few nice, intimate shows, like the one at the absolutely legendary-&-uniquely-American 'Cathedral of Country Music,' The Ryman Auditorium! And The Dodge Theater in Phoenix! And that's not even mentioning the Canadians shows, or The Mexico City Sports Palace!

DBTT is indeed a solid one, it just miss a big song. Lyla wasn't catchy enough to carry it but it was a genuinely good collaborative album for all band members making really good tunes. Liam proved something there that had nothing to do with his Lennon obsession.
Yeah, he is in love with Definitely Maybe but sonically it tires me after a few listens. It is like an AC/DC album in a way. Noisy. Morning Glory has better songs and better dynamics.

Noel should check out the band Alvvays, from Canada. They're influenced by Oasis out and proud but don't sound anything like them, but you can hear why.

I like Noel’s music, he’s undoubtedly a talented musician. However the bashing and disrespect of other artists is a wee bit tiring now. I don’t know anyone else who does that other than the oasis 2!

The problem is he has a big gob and bad attitude with zero respect. Lots of uneducated males like him do. We grew up in Burnage 5 minutes from his house and that area is full of theiving violent lads with no respect. Its an attitude problem common with males growing up in big urban cities (ie, booze/violence/drugs/theiving) etc. Always mouthing off & bullying others. And always have a cynical negative attitude. But he's an old man now so you'd think he'd have matured by now. He clearly hasn't and still behaving like a teenage thug. Still plagiarising other musicians songs as well (ripped off other people's work now in about 40 of his songs).
