Morning Glory while having the best songs, the mix and sound of it is kinda shit. If you go back and listen to it right now after hearing Noels new album, it just sounds compressed and inside a tunnel. It really needs a proper proper remastering.

Because yes, I swear I first heard Noel talk about this "killer song" he'd written called Stop The Clocks in an interview 20 years ago somewhere between, oh, Heathen Chemistry and Don't Believe The Truth, so 2003ish... or maybe even one album cycle earlier, perhaps circa 2001. Lyla wasn't catchy enough to carry it but it was a genuinely good collaborative album for all band members making really good tunes. In my mind we have all come to accept that music online has permanently become devalued but I know that AI will be the future so what will people pay for and want to see live? People playing instruments. Or singing in person. I feel that live music will be valued even more than it is today, and it will become “cool” again for people to do more in person.

The 1975 … a band of northern lads, with a controversial gobby lead singer, who write decent radio pop songs and repurpose and rip off 70s and 80s music for a modern audience… you’d think Noel could empathise…
I think he’s disgruntled because Matt The lead singer said that no one gives a toss about the solo work… he said Oasis should just reform and instantly be the biggest band in the world again.

Big difference is Matty Healy makes shit music and he’s a nepo baby so It makes him much less rock and roll and more just childish and unlikeable unfortunately.
Its true! High Flying Birds band are atrocious. Oasis made two good albums. HFB made no good albums. Noel Gallaghers solo work post Oasis is well below par. That's because liam is a much better singer/frontman with attitude. Noel isn't a frontman. And Oasis were never the biggest band in the world as they never made it in North America. They were the biggest band from England!
