You love to see it! You got this thing dialed Manny.

The chips at 18k were perfect. Your mister is inadequate - you really need 2 and they point at the cut. I've never seen AL done with a vacuum, I don't know which noob started that bad idea. Spindle not up to speed will snap a bit you got lucky. A 1/4 bit should be able to do a 1/4 cut at 1/4 deep, I don't think you've max'd the machine yet - at least I hope not - this machine is on my shopping list. Back in my day E-stop meant starting from scratch, glad that has improved.

The vac works excellent on large parts that can dissipate heat. Definitely need more on the mister for smaller parts.

How do you get rounded corners without reducing the sides?

Looks good. Wich motors are you running? They are silent!

They are the hybrid closed loop servos from YUYONG.
They are silent because the rails are extremely true. I used a dial indicator to dial everything in, which drastically reduces movement noise.

when you restarted from line 1xx i have found you usually have to start the spindle spinning before you tell it because it doesn't always have that command

Definitely my thoughts too. Will in the future 100% that was sketchy

You need to add a delay to cycle start so the spindle has time to come up to speed. I built a very simular machine with the same controller. 10 sec should be plenty

@bransonlariscy4660 there is a delay, the only time there isn't is when I stop the machine and resume for a broken too or something along those lines. When that happens, I now manually start the spindle prior to hitting cycle start. Thanks for the input, good info for sure!

man, i am doubting between this machine and the scienci altmill, any advice here ?
What i can see is this machine has more bang for the buck, the altmill is a bit more sturdier...

I CNC 1/2" aluminum regularly, this can handle it and quickly! If you're working with wood, this is a no-brainer. If you want to work with Aluminum, this is an excellent choice with my mods!
