@@macharleys72 only thing I can tell is essentially if you have too much power on the low end of your throttle you can turn it up or down if you don't feel it has enough. It definitely more of a personal preference you will have to play with it.
Very informative videos! Just purchased the Komodo brushless with the fcx24 transmission. The plugs are not matching up with the the stock Ecs. Do I need a new ecs lizard pro?
if you are going to a brushless you can not use the stock ESC or RX.. sorry. You will have to get a new ESC AND Receiver/Transmitter to go brushless on most small scale ready to run RCs.

Cool video, I'm glad i got the lizard pro and not igmelon combo. Could i use the stock transmission with the furitek motor mount? Is the micro komodo pinion compatible with the stock spur?
The worm gear is the drag brake and the stage brake should still work to slow down the rig even more. But yes, the worm gears basically have more brake than the motor will. It also depends a lot on the ratio.
I've watched a few videos regarding this set up. I have the Lizard pro ESC on the way and the Motor/Transmission from furitek on deck for my scx24 Bronco. I've heard there were Binding issues with the ESC. Have you encountered any problems relating to that?? Btw I am going to switch out my stock receiver with a SPMSR215 along with a new Radio from spectrum.
@@TheShopMiniRC so that may have come off as snarky, I tend to do that. I thought you might have a specific reason for using that one and was curious! I've run the big stuff for years, but my only foray into sub 16th scale ground vehicles has been the 1/28(27...whatever) 2wd cars. I wish the micro esc manufacturers would include sbus connections for a servo! Then we could use the little postage stamp size receivers :-)
@@phoenixrising4573 if you check most of my other builds, they all use smaller rx. My monster truck uses the micro mini z /1:28 rx. I have seen some of the micro rx come with a normal servo to the tiny sbus type connector. Also, not snarky at all. ;)
My power wagon cogs when trying to slow crawl up over a rock etc. it slow craws on flat surface perfectly but trying to climb I have to really work the throttle
do you know how to change the creep to crawl from 20% power? I've adjusted the curve all i can and i just want the creep to ramp a little higher before it switches to crawl. thx
@@TheShopMiniRC I also have one more question now I get everything turned on then my stock esc blinks what do I do then? There is power to the motor and steering how do I get it to stop blinking?
so i bought (pancake) komodo and stellar trans. im not trusting myself with soldering. what do you think i should buy to make it all work with my scx24.
@@Hannsom7 if you have a v1 rx you can just plug it into channel 2. If you have a v2 (blue) rx, it won’t work at all. You would need a new remote and receiver.

Drag brake is when going down hill the motor will slow roll downhill without any input from throttle. great for controlled downhills
Yes it is. It also prevents the truck from rolling backwards.
Do you want/need drag brakes with worm gears?

yes the pinion and spur gear should mesh just fine!

Never had a binding issue with the esc. (If you mean setting your end points, because you don’t bind you the esc, only the receiver.)
the OGRC transmission isn't available right now...other recommendations?
Also curious, why not use a smaller receiver?

Try making more adjustments to the app. FOC and Slow Speed will affect a lot.
Do you think the mini komoto is struggling to slow craw because it don’t have as much torque? Or tuning is the problem
It could be foc. Is the truck super heavy? The micro komodo usually has plenty of torque. Enough to snap axles.

You coat both sides of the board. You Do not coat the pins. (Otherwise it won’t conduct current to the wire you plug in)

the bluetooth module on newer lizard pros is built in. Turn it on and see if it shows in the app!
