      but when I set my drag brake to 100% it says “warning” high drag brake can cause the esc to over heat…what do u suggest? I can go to 50% before it gives me that warning.

      I'm happy with it how it runs. I think this setup would be even smoother in something with more gear reduction, this thing is geared pretty high. I can do jumps with it on 2s! It's got some speed.

    Another thing about doing the calibrate for the throttle I Heard a Voice saying make sure that you go full-throttle then neutral pause for a second and then go full reverse

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  Рік тому

      Yes definitely calibrate the throttle to make sure you get full forward and reverse power! Super easy process in the app!

      Thank you, I had planned to do it differently. I wanted to have the app being operated on video, but camera focal length and lighting were killing it and it just didn't look good so I resorted to screen shots!

    Why do you need drag brake on a SCX24 with worm gears ? I have mine on zero following several videos and tutorials. Also have the brake on 30.

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  2 місяці тому

      @@snörre23 The truck in the video runs an SCX24 transmission and FCX24 Axles so it doesn't have the benefits of the worm gears and its pretty over geared for a crawler. So this programming was intended to improve the crawl ability of this set-up! Thanks for watching!

    Maybe its because i have overdrive in the front…. But in a super slow crawl, my rig cogs and jerks slightly on flat ground. Iv tried so much in the app to fine tune it and it hasnt changed. Great video tho man!

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  7 місяців тому

      Depending on how much overdrive, and if your driving on higher traction surfaces the drive train will definitely bind a little loading the motor up. You could take the front drive shafts out and drive it on a flat surface to see if that's the culprit. Thanks for watching!

    Yeah that's crazy hi lizard bro is older than this video he come at 2.17 third newest firmware and you're saying yours is a 2.9 that's like super old right

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  Рік тому

      My Lizard Pro came with version 2.9 installed but the drag brake didn't work. I changed to version 2.7 and the drag brake became functional. Then looking at the list of firmware 2.9 is nowhere to be found! 2.7 in the newest available in the app for me.

    • @gregerledung1449
      @gregerledung1449 Рік тому +1

      The newest is like 2.23 or something like that. I was fooled in the beginning thinking that 2.9 was newer than 2.23 (reasonable since it’s a higher number) but the number after the . is apparently a straight count. Going with the actual latest firmware solved all my problems

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  Рік тому

      @gregerledung1449 Yeah that's odd, I just assumed higher number was newer firmware. I do like Furitek and it's app but the app is somewhat glitchy.

      @@havikhobbies Oh man I dont know, maybe set it up on the normal transmitter and then rebind?, but all that matter is if you can get that slow crawl. if so then you may not need to do that.

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  2 місяці тому +1

      What transmitter are you using? Maybe something accidentally adjusted on transmitter? Have you tried resetting to default settings on esc? Maybe try a different esc firmware?

    • @ricerneon399
      @ricerneon399 2 місяці тому

      @havikhobbies I'm using the spectrum slt3 and sr315 reciver. I have tried different firmware and all the settings on the remote. My buddy has the same problem with a similar setup too.

      Does it allow you to get 100 percent throttle in reverse?

    • @ricerneon399
      @ricerneon399 2 місяці тому

      @havikhobbies a little more in reverse I get like 82%. We both have almost the same setup just different receivers. And only 2 firmware updates for the unity pro. Same as the python pro just a 2 in 1 combo I believe.

    Thank you sir testing this right now. Just got a mini Komodo and this thing was bogging down or clogging w.e the terminology is. Couldn’t wrap my head around it was checking for binding and it still was doing it under load or no load with tires off. Now that I down graded software and used yours settings I’m running test

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  Рік тому

      Sounds like you're on the right track, I hope that will smooth things out for you. You can still get a little cogging when the esc is out of FOC and operating in regular sensorless brushless mode, especially under load/in a bind. You need to adopt a different driving style compared to brushed motors. Let me know if your successful! Thanks for watching!
