It's so wild that every character won me over... but it's extra wild that Jennifer and Devora (Shadowheart and Lae'zel) won me over because they were both SUCH ARSEHOLES in the early game! But their journeys ended up being my favorite of all.

Once upon a long time ago, waited for BG2 to come, for a co-worker (at a net cafe) to bring it and install it and after what seemed like an age, I spent more than 2h making a character. There was a regular client, a lawyer lady that was always playing Diablo 2 and Might and Magic VII that helped with the model and personality, otherwise it would have taken more. And BG2 didn't have that many options to make you character as these new games do...
Y'know I joked to myself "Hey, 2 and a half hours, guess they just passed character creation." I'm glad I wasn't wrong.
As someone who has sensory issues, seeing such successful and inspiring people be patient with their sensory management, all while having chat's support and encouragement, really made me emotional :) like, I should be more patient with myself too!
I love seeing yall experiencing the game with fresh eyes, and your behind the scene tidbits are so valuable to me ❤ the community loves this game and loves all the work that went into making it!
every time is see games bringing people together i get the most uplifting feeling, and this is more together than usual. truly games are the greatest media.

I knew who I would play beforehand and still spent 2 hours in character creation. You're both adorable and funny. There are enough professional streamers out there. It's refreshing to see you learn and experience the game for the first time.

Took me enough hours in Character Creation to set the game down for the night to do online research on what race I should be 😅

I dont think I've ever had as much fun watching a character creation before... I was chuckling the entire time
this honestly so enlightening, seeing people who don't usually play games navigate just menus and interfaces.
I have this feeling that console interfaces are terrible for casual gamers, mouse and click is way more intuitive.
meanwhile as someone who's used to console gameplay, mouse and keyboard are so hard to get into 😅 it took switching to controller for me to enjoy the game
@@josie8997 i downloaded this game on steamdeck and had to buy a mouse and mini keyboard to play because the controls were just impossible for me. Especially the radial action menus.
@@deptusmechanikus7362 haha 😅 i have it on steamdeck too actually and the keyboard and mouse were my original plan, but I just couldn't enjoy it like that
Controller looks magnitudes worse than m+kb. But I also find m+kb better for pretty much everything.
@@deptusmechanikus7362 I think they ment that everyone uses m+kb on their pc/mac anyway, so it's more natural. For a non-player a controller is some voodoo type shit lol. what with analog sticks sensitivity, stick clicks, shift buttons etc, unlike a keyboard and point-click with mouse.
When the camera went off, I figured you were just roleplaying Shadowheart casting a Darkness spell to appease Shar. Technical difficulties happen, thanks for soldiering through it and making a fun video! It must be a really funny sensation to play a game you both worked on so much, especially as a voice actress.

Well, two characters need two hours. It's perfectly fine. Actually, including the guardian, it's 4 characters. Luckily with the new magic mirror one can change it's appearance in game now so if you made a wrong choice it can be changed.

Thanks for the great stream, my first character was a tiefling druid with voice 6 so it was cool to learn about Muki Zubis. All the voices are great but she's my favorite of the 8 choices.

I love that Aliona doesn't like to fight, there aren't that many games out there where pacifism is supported. BG3 is a lot more open but they still force fights. Whenever you're finished with BG3, if you're looking for a game that's combat free, I'd recommend Palia. There's no combat, and its story base. It's story like bg3 but non combat like sims. :)
